Just finished reviewing my June booking, and now I'm here to write about July's. I've been coming to Tokyo almost every month recently, and I always choose this hotel.
I've probably been staying here longer than some of the staff have been working here, haha! 😂
The subway access is excellent and very close, so you don't have to walk far at all. The hygiene is great, and it's been well-maintained; I haven't noticed any significant changes over the years. The shower stall is also very convenient, no need to step into a bathtub. If nothing changes, I'll definitely keep coming back. I feel like it's been open for at least ten years now.

The location of the hotel is excellent just 5 minutes walk from the East side of JR Ikebukuro station.Keep in mind that there is  no elevator or escalator on this side so you have to carry your luggage upstairs (maybe it has but we didn't find it) Convenient store is beside the hotel by getting through the connecting door. There is a self locker room to keep your luggage before check in.
2 water bottles are provided every day. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. We enjoyed staying here. Highly recommended.

Location is very convenient as it is beside Akihabara station.
Room is also quite clean and there is daily room service if required. All the amenities are also at the 6F front desk, they provide toothbrush and toothpaste as well which is nice. A water bottle is provided as well every time they perform room service.
For the breakfast, they will give you the paper coupon for one of the cafe at another building, the food there is delicious and I recommend the pancakes.
Toilet is also a pleasant experience as it is separated section of the shower room and toilet.
As for the massage chair, I did not use it as I can see that it's dirty or just old from the stains left on the chair.
But overall, I would book this hotel again if I'm staying at Akihabara next time.

The location is super convenient, which is a big plus.

The front desk staff were a bit cold and not very polite. I was quite surprised that when I asked where the elevator was, they didn't even look up and just gestured. That's a three-star experience for me.

There's a hotel convenience store which is really handy for snacks and other things. Five stars for that!

The interior facilities aren't new; they're just what you'd expect for the price, no pleasant surprises there.

It's not dirty, but I wouldn't say it felt particularly clean either. Three and a half stars for cleanliness.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right by Oimachi Station—you can spot it as soon as you exit. The self-service system is top-notch, allowing for easy self-check-in, check-out, and luggage storage. There's a Starbucks and a supermarket downstairs, and plenty of dining options nearby, making it incredibly convenient for both meals and getting around. I'd definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance.

I enjoyed everything from the moment I walked in the hotel lobby. Customer service was amazing as they were all kind and paid individual attention to each guest. My room was quite comfortable for me. Yes, Tokyo rooms are small but I was very comfortable and I even dejected the room with the massage chair~ which I used almost every day 😎 Location was the best! I will DEFINITELY be returning to this hotel upon my next Tokyo stay. Thanks for the memories 🦋

The room was nice and offered great value for money. The facilities are a bit old, but the service was excellent. Everything was pretty good, except for one male front desk staff member who was stingy and wouldn't give us water. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from Ginza, which is fantastic.

This is a stylish hotel in a good location.  The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from JR Tokyo station, however as I had a lot of luggage with me I took a taxi from Tokyo station, which cost about 1000 Yen. The entrance to the hotel is a little hard to see - there is an entrance at street level with an automatic sliding door. The door opens to reveal the entrance to a restaurant, you then have to turn left to find the lifts which only go to the 14th floor, where the reception is. After checking-in there are a different set of lifts that go to the floors where the guest rooms are. The reception area, as with the rest of the hotel is stylish - there was a lady dressed in Kimono to help guests at the lifts!
I had booked a single room , but I was upgraded to a double room free of charge. This room was a good size by Tokyo standards, with a separate toilet and a separate shower room with a bath. The washbasin was in the entrance hall, not in the bathroom.
There was no desk or office chair in the room, but there was a table and corner sofa. There were power and USB sockets by the bed.
As I wanted to use a laptop, I had to move the table close to the bed, so that I could plug the laptop into the power socket sit on the sofa. This wasn't the most comfortable arrangement!
I would also have preferred to have the wash basin in the bathroom rather than in the entrance hall. The floor tended to get wet where I walked from the entrance door to the bed area.
Even though this is a stylish hotel in a good location, with good staff and facilities I wouldn't stay here again. I need a work desk and chair to use a laptop which this room does not have. It is a boutique hotel rather than a business hotel, more suited to guests that don't need to work from the room.

I chose to stay at this hotel for a weekend. First, the location is great – very convenient for getting to Ginza, and there are plenty of dining options nearby, plus it's right next to a theater.

The room was a bit cramped. It would be fine for one person, but for two, it would be quite awkward. There was a massage chair in the room, but I didn't get around to using it during my two-day stay. The bathroom has a shower, which was acceptable.

The breakfast offered a good variety of dishes, but the portions for each item were very small, which made me a bit hesitant to serve myself. I can understand that they might be trying to avoid waste. On the bright side, the bread was replenished very promptly, and there was a coffee machine where you could make different types of coffee.

Near the front desk, there were complimentary tea bags and lotions available. Overall, the service attitude was excellent – very friendly and polite. Next time, I'll opt for a larger room.

Convenience of location? If 100 is perfect, this place gets 200! The airport bus from Kansai Airport (platform 5) drops you right at the hotel's doorstep. Getting to the subway, JR station, Hankyu, Daimaru, or even the Lucua shopping complex is all within a 10-minute walk. The hotel is on the 9th floor, and the 8th floor is full of restaurants. There's a convenience store on the 1st floor, and Yodobashi Camera is just a quick elevator ride away. It's incredibly convenient.

However, it's quite small. If it were just a tiny bit bigger so I could open my suitcase fully, I'd say it has no flaws. 

The coin laundry is on the 24th floor, and toiletries are self-service at the front desk. Each floor has ice available for self-service, as well as a drink vending machine.

You'll need to bring your own slippers, and it's best to bring your own toothbrush too, as the hotel's isn't great.

There's no room service at night, so if you accidentally spill a drink, you'll have to change your own sheets. They clean your room and empty the trash daily when you return. For extra trash, you need to use the yellow stickers provided on the back of the door.

That said... I did encounter a torn bedsheet once. With how popular this place is, you'd think they wouldn't be *that* economical.

The hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and the environment was clean and comfortable. The facilities were comprehensive and well-maintained. Our room was spacious and bright, with excellent soundproofing and soft bedding. The breakfast offered a great variety, and the location was very convenient. It's excellent value for money, and overall, I had a very satisfactory experience. I highly recommend it.

Location: Probably the only hotel located right inside Shin-Osaka Station. You don't even need to exit the station; just head to the north exit and you're there.
Facilities: The rooms are cramped. If you have large luggage, this isn't the place for you. Don't book a queen room for two people – you'll be constantly bumping into things just trying to move around.
Service: Mostly self-service, but there was a friendly guy at the front desk who spoke Chinese, and the service was good.

I definitely have to give this hotel a five-star review!

The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the shopping district and next to the subway. There's a whole street of restaurants right behind the hotel, and it's super convenient after a day of shopping. Getting to and from the airport by bus is also very easy.

The cleanliness is outstanding, absolutely no complaints there.

The room type is on the smaller side, but perfect for one person. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, and it's great that you can open the window for some fresh air.

The hotel staff are incredibly nice, always with a smile during check-in and check-out.

There are just a couple of small things that could be improved. The door might not be very soundproof, as I heard noises outside my room late at night. Also, on the first night, around 2 or 3 AM, I opened the window and smelled a very strong, pungent odor from outside that lasted for a while; I'm not sure what caused it.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. The location, service, and facilities are all excellent. I think I even stayed at this very hotel many years ago when I first came to Osaka. All in all, a great experience, highly recommended!

Hanshin Annex Osaka:
Out of the three hotels I booked during my 8-day stay in Japan, this was the best one.
The service was excellent, with staff who were very polite and genuinely helpful.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I especially appreciated the soft white lighting (not yellow), which was easy on the eyes and much more comfortable than in many other hotels.
Breakfast was good and satisfying.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Fukushima Station, making it very easy to get around Osaka.

Excellent stay! The staff were incredibly polite and attentive. While breakfast had fixed timings, it was still good. For Osaka, the room was quite spacious, and all three of us were very happy with it. The toiletries were Guerlain, and any issues we had were resolved promptly. The hotel is super close to Hankyu Sanbangai and the Umeda shopping district, and there are tons of restaurants nearby, even on the first basement floor. Transportation is also very convenient; the airport shuttle bus stop is just a block away.

I recently stayed at Hotel Hanshin Osaka during my trip to Osaka, and overall it was a very satisfying experience, especially for a first-time solo traveler visiting the city.
One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is definitely its excellent location. The hotel is conveniently connected to transportation, making it extremely easy to travel to many of Osaka’s famous attractions and shopping areas. Whether I wanted to visit Dotonbori, Umeda, Osaka Castle, or even take day trips to nearby cities, getting around was smooth and stress-free. For someone traveling alone and unfamiliar with Osaka, staying here made the entire trip feel much more comfortable and convenient.
Another thing that impressed me was the service provided by the hotel staff. The front desk employees were always polite, professional, and welcoming. They greeted guests with genuine smiles and were very helpful whenever I had questions. Even though there was sometimes a language barrier, they still tried their best to assist me, which made me feel appreciated as a guest. Good hospitality can really affect the overall travel experience, and this hotel certainly delivered in that aspect.
The room itself was clean and well-maintained. Although the room size was slightly small, which is quite common in Japan, the facilities inside were surprisingly complete and thoughtfully arranged. Everything I needed was provided, and the layout was efficient enough that I still felt comfortable during my stay. The in-room hot spring bath was also a very enjoyable feature. After spending long hours walking around Osaka every day, being able to relax in the warm bath at night was incredibly refreshing and helped me recover from fatigue.
If I had to mention one downside, it would only be the limited room space. However, considering the location, service quality, cleanliness, and facilities, I still think this hotel offers great value overall.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Osaka for the first time, especially solo travelers who want a convenient, comfortable, and reliable place to stay.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right above Sannomiya Station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The high-floor view is also stunning, and there's even a small massage chair which is a nice touch to unwind. Aside from the room being a bit small, I have no other complaints.

:) Thankful for the hotel shuttle service as the hotel is located after a really steep slope. Both onsen in hotel and the next building are good and clean.

:( Amenities didn't include facial cleanser and milk lotion. The pillows are too hard for me. The dinner plate arrangement setting appears to be dated - some of the food containers are old/ worn out with visible scratches on the surface. The menu is in Japanese wordings - will be good to provide English version.
