This hotel is super close to Kyoto Station, just across the road from the south exit. I switched to this hotel for my last night from Kawaramachi so I could easily catch the Haruka train to Kansai Airport early the next morning. The room is quite small, especially the bathroom, which is very compact, but overall it's clean. My only complaint is that they couldn't put my two booked rooms on the same floor, and the front desk service wasn't as good as other hotels I'd stayed at in the Kansai region previously.

Environment: The location is quite convenient, not far from Osaka's transportation hub.
Facilities: The hotel facilities are comprehensive, especially the hot springs on the first floor which are great for relaxing. Most other amenities are self-service.
Cleanliness: The cleanliness is good, and it's well-maintained.
Service: No late check-out, and only one bottle of water per night. These two points were a bit disappointing.

Kyoto Century Hotel was one of our favorite hotels during our trip to Japan. We upgraded to one of the Kyoto-style rooms, and it was absolutely worth it. The room was incredibly spacious—especially by Japan standards—and beautifully designed with traditional touches.
One of our favorite features was the enormous king-size bed. It felt exceptionally large and was incredibly comfortable. The room also featured a tatami living area, so we removed our shoes before entering, which made the space feel authentic, cozy, and relaxing.
The bathroom was another highlight. It was much larger than we expected, with plenty of room to move around, making it feel more like a luxury hotel than a typical city hotel.
The breakfast buffet was good, though not the highlight of our stay. There was a decent variety of options, the coffee was very good, and it was a nice way to start the day.
The location is another major advantage, with Kyoto Station just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the city and travel to other destinations.
Overall, I highly recommend Kyoto Century Hotel, especially if you're able to upgrade to one of the Kyoto-style rooms. The spacious accommodations, traditional design, comfortable bed, and convenient location made it a memorable stay.

Extremely happy with my stay here, especially in this room. Honestly, I’m not sure why there are bad reviews — unless you’re particularly plus-size and need extra space, this room is completely fine. It actually has way more aesthetic and character than a plain, cookie-cutter hotel room, and the whole atmosphere genuinely added to our stay.

We had zero issues opening two 30kg suitcases on the floor, with plenty of room left to move around comfortably.

Only minor note: the sink is a little smaller and slightly lower than the usual height, but the bathtub and shower work perfectly, so it didn’t bother us.

And the location? Chef’s kiss. Being right next to Kyoto Station means unbeatable access to trains, buses, and sightseeing — one of the biggest reasons we chose this hotel over others. Truly an amazing base for exploring Kyoto!

The hotel is conveniently located directly across from JR Kyoto Station, making it super easy to find. The room size was decent, especially for the king-size bed I booked, which I really liked. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, particularly for JR lines – no need to rush at all. The absolute highlight was the breakfast! There was such a wide variety, including sushi 🍣, various alcoholic beverages, cheese, salads, and grilled meats. The restaurant faces the station, so I highly recommend opting for breakfast – it's excellent value, and the sushi was delicious. The service was great too, and the lobby offers complimentary water and even Sekkisei cosmetics, which was an amazing bonus!

The Kyoto Tower Hotel Annex boasts an excellent location, just a 3-minute walk from Kyoto Station, making transportation incredibly convenient. The hotel environment is clean and comfortable, with spacious, modern-designed rooms, perfect for independent travelers. The staff are friendly and professional, and check-in and check-out processes are quick and smooth. With a plethora of restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping facilities nearby, it's incredibly easy to visit major Kyoto attractions or embark on a Kansai trip. It's truly an accommodation option that offers both comfort and convenience.

From the moment you walk in, you know you're in for a wonderful stay. When I first arrived, I noticed a sign that said, ”Quality over Quantity.” At first, I thought it was a bit unusual, but by the end of my stay, I completely understood what it meant.

This isn't a typical chain hotel—it's family-owned, and that personal touch is evident in every detail. From the pleasant scent throughout the property to the modern, high-tech features, everything was thoughtfully designed. The rooms were spectacular, and every aspect reflected quality. The bathroom was spotless, the towels were plush, the sheets were incredibly clean and smelled fresh, and all of the amenities were top-notch.

What truly set this hotel apart was the hospitality. Every morning and afternoon, the staff greeted guests with a warm smile as they came and went, making the experience feel welcoming and personal.

I highly recommend this hotel. The owners and staff clearly take pride in creating an exceptional experience, and it shows in every detail. It was an amazing stay from beginning to end, and I would gladly return.

The location is absolutely fantastic! The airport shuttle bus goes directly to Universal Studios. After getting off, it's just a short walk following the signs. Right outside the hotel's back door, a right turn leads you straight to the subway station 🚇.

We booked a triple room. It wasn't huge, but considering it's Japan and in the Universal area, it's probably to be expected. It was a bit snug, which is typical for Japan, but for the price, I felt it offered pretty good value for money.

Stepping out of the hotel, you're right in the middle of a commercial center, with everything for eating, drinking, and shopping – a true one-stop shop. It's incredibly convenient for indulging in some retail therapy and delicious food.

Here's a little tip for Universal Studios: If you want great photos, try to find one of the staff members. They are excellent photographers and the pictures turn out amazing. We randomly asked an elderly cleaning staff member that day, and it turned out he was a photography pro! Every single shot was fantastic, providing 100% emotional value. On top of that, after taking our photos, he even gave us some Universal stickers, which was incredibly touching!

The location is fantastic, making getting around and shopping incredibly convenient. There's a subway station and bus stop right across from the hotel's main entrance, so public transport to anywhere is a breeze. Osaka Castle is within walking distance, and various shopping malls are just across the street from the hotel, making shopping super easy. The room size is generous, quite spacious for a Japanese hotel, so you won't feel cramped during your stay. The only downside is that the hotel's breakfast only offers Western options with no Japanese dishes, which might be a bit disappointing for travelers hoping to experience a traditional Japanese breakfast. Overall, it offers great value for money and is a top choice for accommodation when traveling.

We stayed here for three nights for a vacation and some rest, but our room was right next to the train tracks. Frequent trains started passing by as early as 6:00 AM, completely waking us up and making it impossible to fall back asleep.
We called the front desk to request a room change. The staff initially said they could move us to another room on the 8th floor that didn’t face the tracks. However, when we went down to the lobby around 10:00 AM after packing, they gave us a room on the 7th floor that was also close to the tracks. We asked to speak with the staff again, and they said they could no longer offer an 8th-floor room, despite what was agreed upon over the phone. After an hour of negotiating and complaining to the manager, we were finally given a different room on the 7th floor at the very end of the hallway. Although we could still see the tracks from this room, it was finally quiet and we couldn't hear the train noise.
If you are looking for a hotel to relax and don’t want to be woken up early, I would not recommend this place, as most rooms face the train tracks.

This hotel is really convenient, super close to JR Kyobashi Station, and there's a mall nearby for shopping. They also offer luggage storage and a laundry service for 500 yen (wash and dry). A young male staff member at the front desk (with slightly curly hair) was exceptionally helpful. On the evening of the 28th, I couldn't open a washing machine in the laundry room that had been used by a previous guest. He helped me open it and even showed me how to use it. I'm so grateful to him! The hotel service is excellent, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Osaka!

The location is great, easy to find, right between Kitahama and Yodoyabashi stations, near exit 20. It's super convenient to get to Umeda and Shinsaibashi. It's also very quiet at night. The front desk staff were really helpful and proactively assisted me with the self check-in machine. The lobby offers a wide selection of toiletries you can take as needed. The room wasn't huge; fitting three beds was a bit tight, but I could still open my 28-inch suitcase. The bedding hygiene could be improved; one of the beds had a blood stain, but since I brought my own sheets, I didn't bother telling the front desk. The buffet breakfast was quite varied and decent. The tofu beef soup was particularly delicious, though unfortunately, it was only served one of the three days I stayed. Overall, it lives up to its price point; I'd say it's good value for money.

We took a min twin bed room for three nights. The room was indeed very small, but the size was compensated by al the other things and services- there was even the USB and Type-C charging device, which was unexpectently pleasant. Location was superb, and the hotel managers were all super helpful and nice!

The staff were all friendly and polite, providing excellent service. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a 3-minute walk to the subway station. The breakfast spread was incredibly generous, offering both Western and Japanese options, including fish, fruits (even lychees!), and pastries. Having stayed at many hotels, I can honestly say this breakfast was the best. We booked a triple room, and it felt a bit small as the third bed took up a lot of space. The hotel's self-service laundry was good, though a bit pricey at 600 yen for washing and another 600 yen for drying. WeChat Pay and Alipay are accepted.

The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The room was very small, but that’s quite typical for Tokyo. We were traveling with just one backpack each, yet we still had to be creative with storage, as the room layout wasn’t particularly practical for luggage. I’ve stayed in several small hotel rooms in Tokyo before, and they often had clever solutions such as storage space under the bed or other well-thought-out features that helped maximize the limited space. That was something I missed here.

If we had been traveling with hard-shell suitcases, I’m honestly not sure how we would have managed the space. That said, you always find a way to make it work.

On the positive side, the beds were comfortable, Netflix was available for relaxing late nights with sore legs and feets, and the bathroom facilities felt modern, clean, and newly renovated. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and were happy with the experience.

This hotel is in a fantastic location in Shinjuku, and the breakfast is pretty good too. The room layout and space are well-designed and practical, and it's fully equipped with everything you need. You can pick up toiletries from the first floor if you need them. It's super convenient for getting to places like Ginza.
