I've stayed at a few Keihan Group hotels, and they've all been great, but this Kyoto Station South hotel is particularly excellent. The Chinese-speaking front desk staff provided fantastic service during check-in, making me feel truly at home. I also got lucky this time; I arrived at 12 PM and was able to check in early. The daily breakfast is also incredible value for money; 1980 yen on its own isn't expensive at all, and it's an absolute steal when bundled with the room. The 11 AM check-out time is very reasonable, and the luggage storage facilities are excellent, making you feel very secure. However, the self-service lockers fill up quickly, so you often have to leave your bags with the staff. All the amenities are thoughtful and convenient. The only minor drawback is that the expensive hairdryer is too large, taking up space and being awkward to use in the small bathroom. In the afternoons, you can also enjoy complimentary coffee and drinks at the restaurant. The location is unbeatable; it's right across the street from Hachijo Exit, making shopping, dining, and public transport incredibly convenient. The bus to Kansai Airport is also nearby, which is much more comfortable than taking the train. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Kyoto.

Exceeded my expectations! I randomly picked this hotel, and since I was traveling during the off-season, the price was reasonable, and most importantly, they had a triple room. Compared to other Japanese hotels, the room was quite spacious. The location is super convenient; within a 10-minute walk, there's a subway and bus station, and it's also very close to Kyoto Station – excellent transportation. The hotel facilities are relatively new. The only minor drawback might be the poor soundproofing.

The service was also great. I stored my luggage there before check-in and then checked in after 3 PM using the self-service kiosk. Besides standard toiletries, the hotel also provided facial cleanser and some lotion/toner, which even Koko hotels don't offer. Plus, each floor has a microwave for heating food, and they provided cutlery. The nearby 7-Eleven was well-stocked, but when I left, I didn't realize the Indian clerk hadn't given me cutlery, so I ended up getting it from the hotel. Overall, I was very satisfied!

The location is superb, just a stone's throw from JR Kyoto Station. However, the facilities are a bit old, and the rooms feel very plain and dated. On weekends, I could clearly hear the noise from cars speeding down the street, even on the tenth floor, which shows how poor the sound insulation of the windows is. The soundproofing between rooms isn't great either; I could distinctly hear everything next door, like curtains being drawn and walls being bumped. On the first night, there were long black hairs on the white bedsheets (definitely not ours), but thankfully, we didn't find any in the following days. The breakfast was good, with a wide variety of options, including sake and wine.

Awesome services and assistance provided by the team as they addressed my request perfectly. Location is superb, close to Kyoto Station and there is a big Lawson downstairs and vending machines. We had the tower view room but during that time they were undergoing outer walls upgrades so the view was blocked, however this will never affect the perfection provided by the hotel. Definitely will stay with them when return to Kyoto soon

Outstanding stay. The staff was absolutely lovely and extremely attentive. I dropped off my luggage on the first day, and it was placed directly in my room before I even returned to the hotel. The hotel was impeccably clean, I was upgraded, the room was very comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better—right next to the main transportation hub and close to the city center.

For a special stay in kyoto where the view, location, and comfort matter, this hotel is a very strong choice. Room is spacious, clean and organized. near bus and train station. 
Furthermore, we were given a discount coupon for the observatory deck. my friend and i went during night and we had a memorable stay.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The interiors are stunning and rooms are spacious and well decorated with ample amenities. The staff is very warm and welcoming. The breakfast spread was the best I’ve had in Japan … includes very good ala carte options as well. 
Would definitely recommend to all visiting Kyoto.

Stayed at the triple bed room. Late check in around 11pm. However it was all smooth and okay. Hotel was clean with comfortable bed and pillow. Location is superb, just 3 mins walk to USJ entrance. They have the pyjamas for adults and kids. All amenities are provided. Free water is available at the same floor at the water station. Highly recommended.

Booked this hotel after seeing it on Live, and the location is absolutely unbeatable. There's a station right downstairs with several lines intersecting, so you don't even need to go outside to catch a train, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The drugstores, supermarkets, and restaurants right outside are abundant, making shopping very easy. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious enough. The staff were friendly; they even handled it well when my friend accidentally took the room key back to Tokyo. I'd definitely stay here again if I can get a reservation next time.

Had a really nice stay at Hotel Keihan Tenmabashi Ekimae. The place was clean and the location couldn’t be better—right across from the station, with loads of places to eat nearby and a shopping mall close by too.

Beds were comfy and towels were changed every day, which was great. Breakfast wasn’t amazing, so I’d suggest grabbing something nearby instead.

Overall, super convenient and I’d definitely stay here again 👍

Convenient location with 7 minutes walk from the railway station of Nankai Limited Express Rapit. Since the hotel is located at the Namba Park, many shops and restaurants are nearby the hotel.

Bed are comfy and the bathroom has bath tub that add great value to our stay.  However, the unpleasant experience is the hotel slippers that are reuseable and deformed.

I've stayed here several times now. The location is super convenient, with Kitahama Station right downstairs, and Yodoyabashi Station just a short walk further. There are multiple lines available like the subway and Keihan Railway, making it really easy to get around. In a previous review, I mentioned the issue with slippers to the hotel, and this time they've added disposable slippers, which I'm very happy about! 👍 The room is also quite spacious, and the breakfast is good too. While there isn't a huge variety, all the essentials are there, and it's definitely enough to fill you up. The staff are also very friendly and provide excellent service! 👍

Aside from the room being a bit small, everything else was great. The location is really excellent – within 100 meters, you'll find a subway station, convenience stores, coffee shops, and a mall. There are also several restaurants nearby. Check-in is done via a self-service machine, and there's a Cainiao Express point nearby where you can send packages.

The location is fantastic, though it's a bit pricey and doesn't include breakfast. Other than that, everything was good. We opted for the eco-friendly cleaning service. You get one bottle of water per day. The air conditioning was incredibly quiet, absolutely no noise at all. There's a bathtub, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The Wi-Fi was quite fast. They offer Chinese-speaking service, and self check-out is available. Many foreigners choose to stay here.

This is definitely the top choice for a hotel near Senso-ji Temple for New Year's Eve! After Hatsumode (first temple visit of the year), due to road closures, it's incredibly important to have a hotel within walking distance. The location is excellent, highly recommended!

good quality for a 3 star hotel, location is not in the best part of shinjiku but its easily accessible by metro, metro station is nearby, although we put up the notice to makeup our own our bed was not made, only towels changed, rooms are a little bigger compared to standard room size in Japan, i can certainly recommend for a budget stay
