The room was comfortable; although the facilities were a bit old, it didn't detract from the overall experience. The lobby had a strong Christmas vibe. My return flight was late, and the check-in staff kindly helped me arrange a late check-out, which I really appreciated. The location is excellent; the Pudong Art Museum had a new exhibition, and it was within walking distance, saving me the hassle of traffic. Public transport was also very convenient, and there were plenty of options for dining out or ordering delivery. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai. A special thanks also goes to Lynn, Vivian, Minnie, and Lily from the guest relations team for their great help during my stay.

Shangri-La hotels are typically more business-oriented. I took the opportunity to stay at the Jing'an branch to experience it. Firstly, the front desk is quite small. Due to the high traffic from the adjacent mall, and with a restaurant and dining guests inside, the lobby felt very cluttered. Cars were constantly coming and going, so the doorman didn't offer to open doors or help with luggage. The overall decor feels a bit dated. The promised birthday decorations were quite perfunctory. Then, the TV in the room was broken, so I requested a change. The front desk said they would upgrade me, but in reality, they didn't, and I ended up on a lower floor with a worse view. Also, there was no free parking included with the stay, so I had to use my Kerry Centre points to get a parking voucher and pay extra. Breakfast was quite simple with limited options, though the freshly cooked congee was good. Overall, for a hotel in this price range, it was pretty average.

The hotel is located right within the Taikoo Li Qiantan urban complex, and it's also just a five-minute walk from the Oriental Sports Center, making its location excellent. I booked a twin room with a distant river view on Trip.com, and the hotel upgraded me to a suite. Although it was a corner room, I was exceptionally pleased with it. The living room offered a broad, sweeping view, and sitting there, sipping tea and enjoying the scenery, made for a truly relaxing weekend. The suite's layout is well-designed, separating living and sleeping areas, and it features an oversized bathroom, a smaller one, and a dining/kitchen area equipped with an induction hob, microwave, and a direct drinking water dispenser, all of which enhanced the comfort of my stay. The room I booked included a dinner set, and while the taste could be improved, it saved me the hassle of going out to find food. Breakfast was decent; though the variety wasn't extensive, the quality was good. The hotel staff are well-trained, proactive, and polite, and the room service was very responsive. Overall, it was a great stay.

On my recent business trip to Shanghai, I chose the Hongqiao Shangri-La Hotel, and my stay completely exceeded expectations, especially regarding its prime location and the exceptional service at the Horizon Club Lounge. It truly deserves high praise!

What impressed me even more was the service at the Horizon Club Lounge. The staff's warmth and attentiveness genuinely made me feel valued. Upon check-in, a Horizon Club staff member proactively approached me and patiently explained all the club lounge benefits, such as the timings for breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour. Special mention goes to Crystal and Jojo from the Horizon Club, and Dave from Concierge, who were incredibly patient in guiding me, providing directions for taxi stands and advising on the best drop-off points for my return.

This stay, the Hongqiao Shangri-La Hotel's superb location truly alleviated my travel concerns, and the warm service from the Horizon Club Lounge staff made my business trip much more pleasant. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the Shanghai Hongqiao area!

My husband and I usually spend our weekends at a five-star hotel in Beijing every week. This time, we chose China World Hotel for its shopping convenience. I used to frequently visit for their buffet 18 years ago and quite enjoyed it back then.

Upon entering the hotel, we were immediately enveloped by a strong festive atmosphere. It was the Christmas season, and the lobby was filled with warmth and cheer. A dazzling Christmas tree adorned with colorful decorations and twinkling lights shone like stars fallen from the night sky. Underneath the tree, various gift boxes wrapped in red ribbons sparkled in the light, attracting many guests who stopped to take photos and capture the beautiful moment.

We stayed in a Grand Deluxe Twin Room, which was decorated with simple yet elegant taste, with every detail reflecting the hotel's high quality and thoughtfulness. Through the spacious and bright windows, we could overlook the bustling city streets, with traffic flowing beneath us, making us feel the city's vibrant energy.

In the afternoon, we went to the Executive Lounge for afternoon tea. The lounge had an elegant and tranquil ambiance, with various pastries neatly arranged on platters. My husband and I both chose a cup of fragrant Americano and a delicate cake. We sat by the window, savoring the delicious treats while admiring the view outside. The aroma of coffee filled the air, mingling with the sweetness of the cake, making us feel utterly enchanted.

As night fell, the Executive Lounge transformed into a culinary paradise. The dinner buffet offered a rich variety, including fresh seafood, exquisite hot dishes, and delicious desserts, each emitting an enticing aroma. We indulged in various delicacies, experiencing a dance of flavors on our taste buds. The warm and attentive service from the staff made us feel incredibly welcomed.

Shopping at China World Hotel is exceptionally convenient; you can access the China World Mall directly from the hotel. The mall houses numerous renowned brands, with a dazzling array of fashionable clothing. I strolled through the mall's corridors, carefully selecting my favorite clothes, and left with a full shopping bag.

This three-day, two-night stay at China World Hotel allowed me to enjoy a delightful time. It offers not only comfortable accommodation and delicious dining but also convenient shopping. It truly allowed us to find a serene and beautiful haven amidst the bustling city.

The Shangri-La Hotel exudes a festive Christmas atmosphere, thanks to the beautiful Christmas tree in the lobby. Outside the hotel, the Chinese-style courtyard, with its corridors, pavilions, rockeries, and winding paths, showcases classic charm. The front desk provides excellent and warm service to guests, paying great attention to detail. The Shang Palace, executive lounge, and breakfast are all impressive. Although the rooms are a bit older, they are well-equipped, well-maintained, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel courtyard view from the window is lovely, especially at night.

Shangri-La China World Summit Wing, Beijing – a high-rise stay with incredible value for money!

I can't believe I'm only just discovering the China World Summit Wing, Beijing now! For various reasons, I needed accommodation in Beijing these past two days. After thoroughly considering the location, surrounding commercial hub, transport convenience, star rating, and reviews, I chose the China World Summit Wing, Beijing!

Our wonderful journey began right from the hotel's ground floor lobby.

First, a polite young bellboy enthusiastically helped open the car door. Then, the ground floor lobby staff courteously and warmly escorted us to the elevator bound for the 64th floor. The front desk on the 64th floor handled our check-in with equal politeness and warmth – everything was simply perfect!

We stayed in an Executive Twin Room on the 71st floor. The room rate was over 1,700 RMB, which, for Beijing's CBD, is actually quite reasonable! Plus, there are many hidden perks!

I won't even mention the clean and elegant guest room, the large platter of welcome fruit, or the complimentary daily T9 tea bags and coffee sachets. First and foremost, guests enjoy complimentary access to the Executive Lounge on the 64th floor every day. This includes a wide selection of capsule coffees, various sweet and savory pastries, a range of juices, free use of Apple computers, and complimentary meeting room bookings, among other things. Secondly, there's the daily ”Happy Hour” at the Cloud Bar on the 80th floor, offering unbeatable panoramic views, a variety of alcoholic beverages and juices, and a buffet worth approximately 300 RMB per person. Most importantly, the view from the guest room is absolutely phenomenal! The CCTV Headquarters, China Zun, and the Guomao business district are right before your eyes. You can see Chang'an Avenue, the Forbidden City, Workers' Stadium... and even the Yanshan and Taihang mountain ranges in the distance. That feeling of vast skies and endless clouds is simply breathtaking! Personally, I think the room view alone makes it worth the price.

The dining experience is also superb. Breakfast is served on the 79th floor, also boasting fantastic views. Beyond the standard 5-star hotel offerings, the breakfast selection also includes authentic Old Beijing flavors!

In summary, if you're traveling to Beijing, I highly recommend the China World Summit Wing, Beijing! The hotel is located in the tallest tower within the Guomao business district. It offers direct access via Metro Lines 1 and 10, along with multiple bus routes. Situated at Dabeiyao on East Chang'an Avenue, it's very close to Tiananmen, the Temple of Heaven, Qianmen, Olympic Forest Park, and Chaoyang Park.

Shougang Park Shangri-La Hotel features a fusion of industrial heritage and modern design, with unique experience and shortcomings in details. It is suitable for parent-child vacations and business and leisure customers, but the level of service refinement needs to be improved.
1. Hardware facilities: the collision of industrial aesthetics and modern comfort
1. Building renovation
It was transformed from the original Shougang Power Plant, retaining the concrete structure and steel trusses, with glass curtain walls and indoor green plants, and the industrial style and natural elements are intertwined. Details such as the red steel spiral staircase and the ”Journey of Hope” art installation designed by the Japanese team enhance the visual impact and cultural connotation.
2. Room configuration
The guest rooms are equipped with air purification systems, direct drinking water filtration and wireless networks. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of Shijingshan and Yongding River, and themed family suites include children's beds and fun facilities.
3. Public areas
The ”Power Plant Lounge” lobby bar combines industrial and natural elements and is suitable for clocking in; the gym and swimming pool are fully equipped, but there are no charging piles in the underground parking lot, so self-driving customers should pay attention.
2. Service experience: professionalism and efficiency need to be optimized
1. Front desk service
The check-in process takes a long time, and the front desk communication efficiency and problem response speed are insufficient.
2. Catering service
Afternoon tea (58 yuan set meal) is cost-effective and the environment is well received, but the quality of desserts varies; the buffet (300+ yuan/person) is highlighted by seafood and steak, with fewer fruit varieties and acceptable service timeliness.
3. Parent-child service
Yabao Park has safe facilities and provides children's products such as camping tents and plush toys.
3. Catering features: environment plus points, quality needs to be balanced
1. ”Xiangjingting” all-day restaurant
Provides a buffet, covering Chinese and Western delicacies such as Beijing roast duck and Japanese eel. The ingredients are fresh, but you need to queue during peak hours.
2. ”Power Plant Lounge”
Afternoon tea is exquisite and the environment is suitable for socializing, but desserts such as matcha Swiss rolls are light in taste and the quality of cream needs to be improved.
3. ”Fragrant Beer House”
With fresh beer and innovative food as selling points, it has become a check-in place for young customers, but you need to go there alone, not directly experience it in the hotel.
IV. Parent-child facilities: rich facilities, atmosphere needs to be strengthened
1. Family suite
The theme suite includes tree house, skiing, and space elements, children's beds and supporting facilities are complete, but there is a lack of parent-child holiday atmosphere.
2. Bud Bao Paradise
The facilities are safe and clean, suitable for young children, but they need to be charged separately, and the cost-effectiveness needs to be considered in combination with the family budget.
3. Detailed design
The guest rooms provide children's slippers, bathrobes, and toiletries, but are not equipped with WeChat housekeepers. The service phone is slow to connect, which affects the response to emergency needs.
V. Surrounding environment: empowerment of cultural and tourism resources
1. Geographical advantage
Adjacent to the Winter Olympics Big Jumping Platform, Qunming Lake, and Liugonghui Shopping Center, it is within walking distance to the plank road overlooking the scenery, suitable for city sightseeing and sports enthusiasts.
2. Cultural integration
As a ”cultural revival” project of Shougang Park, the hotel is linked with surrounding industrial sites and art exhibitions, suitable for cultural experience customers.

The hotel is located in an ideal location which means that you can start enjoying the city as soon as you drop off your suitcase. The room was perfect and I slept really well. There was a decent selection of essential toiletries and some complimentary tea, coffee and water. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would most certainly book a room there on my next visit to Shenzhen. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The service was great; they helped me with a late check-out since I arrived at the hotel very late at night. The room was spacious, and the bed faced the window with a lovely view. The hotel is a bit old, but the room itself is still very large.

A special thanks to Wendy for the thoughtful service; she even gave a small toy to my child.

The hotel's facilities are great, and the common areas are aesthetically pleasing. Our room had a stylish acrylic decorative piece resembling a porcelain element, and we had a view of Shenzhen Bay.

There were quite a few guests staying over the weekend. The swimming pool gets a big thumbs-up, especially the large hot tub with its higher temperature, perfect for kids to play in without worrying about catching a cold.

Both the Happy Hour and breakfast were excellent, with plenty of choices.

My child was very happy!
