I brought an inspection team to Shanghai this time, and our itinerary was packed. I initially thought the hotel would just be a place to sleep, but the Pudong Shangri-La truly exceeded my expectations.

The moment I stepped into the room, the Bund river view outside the window immediately washed away most of my fatigue. Especially at night, gazing at the lit-up Huangpu River really makes you marvel at Shanghai's charm. What I want to praise most is their service – it wasn't a cold, distant politeness, but a genuine feeling of 'home.'

Because I had meetings, I often left early and returned late. Once, I casually asked where I could find hot congee. Not only did the front desk staff patiently give me directions, but the next morning at breakfast, they actually proactively asked me if I had rested well. This feeling of being cared for is truly heartwarming in fast-paced Lujiazui.

And the view from the Executive Lounge is absolutely breathtaking! Sipping coffee while looking at the Oriental Pearl Tower, my efficiency for organizing inspection notes significantly improved there. The breakfast selection was so extensive it was almost overwhelming, and every bite showcased the exquisite quality expected of a five-star hotel.

Even though it's an older landmark in Shanghai, its steady elegance and just-right warmth still make it my top choice. Next time I'm in Shanghai, I'll definitely stay here again!

The decor is definitely dated, but I have to commend Trip.com and the hotel for their understanding and assistance when we encountered an unexpected situation. When I booked, my flight was confirmed, so I reserved a non-cancellable night at this hotel through Trip.com. However, my flight was suddenly canceled, and I couldn't return home. I asked a friend to contact them about canceling, and both Trip.com and the hotel were understanding and helped with the cancellation. So, upon returning home, I decisively rebooked this hotel.

The hotel's view is still very beautiful, especially at night, but I was really looking forward to the breakfast, which was a bit disappointing.

I specifically came to this hotel during the Qingming Festival holiday to unwind and relax, and it was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave. The overall service was gentle and attentive, from check-in to the room details, everything was spot on, making me feel relaxed and at ease.

My favorite part of the room was the extra-long chaise lounge by the window. It was so soft and comfortable to lean on, offering a panoramic view from the floor-to-ceiling windows. I could lie there, enjoying the scenery, daydreaming, or browsing on my phone, and literally not want to move all day.

The executive lounge was a huge bonus! It covered breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening light meals all in one place, which was perfect for someone like me who doesn't like going out to find food. Breakfast offered both buffet and à la carte options, was quiet with few people, and the food was exquisite and not perfunctory. In the afternoon, there were desserts and fruits, and the hot light meals in the evening were perfectly portioned and delicious. I felt completely satisfied without having to go to a restaurant.

The whole trip was leisurely, avoiding the crowds, and just staying quietly at the hotel was incredibly pleasant. The kids did their homework, surfed the internet, and ate on time, haha. Not having to deal with crowded places was so comfortable. They even said they want to come back for the next three-day mini-vacation!

After a whole day of international flights landing at Shanghai Pudong, choosing to stay at the Hongqiao Airport Shangri-La was absolutely the right decision!!!!

1️⃣ Hotel pick-up service: The hotel concierge greets you with a name card, and once you're met, you don't have to lift a finger! They help with luggage, guide you, and handle everything, so you don't have to worry at all!! It also prevents the awkward situation of not finding your driver after leaving the airport!! Once in the car, they'll tell you the estimated arrival time and adjust the air conditioning to a comfortable temperature for you to relax.💕

2️⃣ Check-in process: Since we are international students returning home with a lot of luggage, the concierge was already waiting at the parking area before check-in, asking which bags needed to be stored and which should be sent to the room. Someone also guided us through the check-in process!! (Check-in is on the 12th floor~)

3️⃣ Stay experience: Watching planes take off and land! It's truly amazing and magical! The most crucial thing is!!! The soundproofing is incredibly good! The bathroom floor even has underfloor heating! All the main controls are by the bedside, avoiding tedious operations like getting out of bed to turn off lights before sleeping! It's truly a hotel perfect for relaxation!

4️⃣ Breakfast experience: The staff will give you an extra menu~ It has recommended dishes! We tried the wontons and noodles (after eating so much foreign food, you really miss this taste! 🥹). It felt like home~

5️⃣ Check-out + transfer to high-speed rail station: ‼️‼️‼️ Key point!! Hongqiao Airport Shangri-La Hotel is connected to both the airport and the high-speed rail station!! We had six suitcases between the two of us! The concierge pushed the luggage cart (detail: the concierge even brought his ID to help us enter the station!) and escorted us all the way into the station~

❤️ Summary: You really can't imagine how easy and convenient traveling can be until you experience a stay at the Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Shangri-La.

Overall, it was a decent stay. The lobby is nice, and the room was okay, though it didn't have a bathtub. Room service was prompt. What really bothered me was that when the front desk heard it was my family member's birthday, they only tried to upsell us to an executive room, and then gave us a room in a very out-of-the-way corner. Okay, we upgraded, but then what? No birthday decorations, no complimentary cake. Even though we found the afternoon tea at the executive lounge too sweet and didn't really eat much, the lack of thoughtful touches still left a bad impression.

I chose the Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing for my trip with my parents, and our experience was excellent. First, I'd like to thank Daisy at the front desk for her incredibly warm welcome. She gave us a detailed introduction to the hotel. Due to some confusion during booking, our original room type was across two different buildings, but Daisy helped us upgrade to the new wing at a discounted rate. She clearly explained the differences between the two buildings and the executive lounge hours. She was very patient and meticulous! 😊

After two years, I revisited Beijing for a 4-day, 3-night trip and chose the China World Summit Wing, Beijing, located by the Third Ring Road.

**Environment**: The hotel view is absolutely stunning, situated on the 70th floor directly facing the Zun Tower and the 'Big Trousers' (CCTV Tower). The sunrise 🌅 was especially breathtaking!

We upgraded to a Grand Premier Executive King Room, which was quite spacious, with excellent facilities and a very comfortable bed.

Breakfast was incredibly luxurious, featuring an à la carte menu and attentive service. While I wasn't keen on the traditional Beijing stir-fried liver, everything else was exquisite and delicious. Afternoon tea and happy hour were also very rich and diverse. For a window seat with a view, it's best to go early.

I have two minor suggestions: firstly, the shower water temperature fluctuated quite a bit, especially towards the end of a shower, needing significant adjustments to stay warm; secondly, happy hour felt a bit too much like afternoon tea. It would be perfect if there were more options for hot dishes.

Overall, I'm very satisfied and would consider staying here again on my next visit to Beijing.

The Shangri-La at Shougang Park is relatively new, and the hygiene is absolutely top-notch – spotless! Even the linens and amenities are high quality, so no worries about cleanliness when traveling with kids. A big shout-out to the front desk and security staff; check-in was super quick, and they even interacted with our child, helped us take photos, and delivered our luggage. They were very nice.

However, I have to be honest, the Shangri-La themed room wasn't really worth it. There were hardly any toys, and the only projector was broken and wouldn't turn on even when charged. Kids' toiletries weren't prepared in advance either; we had to ask for them. The room size was also the same as a standard room. My biggest complaint is the safe; it's directly above the luggage rack, at exactly head height. If you're packing your suitcase and look up, you're guaranteed to hit your head. I got quite a bump and was in a lot of pain. The hotel even 'thoughtfully' added corner protectors, which tells me I'm probably not the only one who's bumped their head. Why can't they put it in a different spot?

This time, I chose the Shangri-La Shenzhen with my wife, children, and my mother who came from Australia to stay with us, and the overall experience was very satisfying. Many years ago, I frequently stayed at Shangri-La hotels in different countries for work, so I'm very familiar with the brand. I'd always hoped to share this wonderful experience with my family one day, and now that dream has finally come true.

The hotel staff—from the greeters at the entrance, the front desk, lobby security, cleaning team, to the restaurant servers—were all incredibly dedicated, polite, and attentive, making us feel completely at home. The room was clean and comfortable, and the kids had a blast in the pool. It would be even more perfect if they could add a heated pool, as the outdoor weather is still a bit chilly.

The only minor suggestion is that the quality of the restaurant's buffet could be improved. It would be even better if it could reach the five-star standard of Shangri-La buffets in other countries.

Overall, we are very grateful to all the staff at Shangri-La Shenzhen for making this family trip so warm and memorable with their professionalism and passion.

This older five-star hotel really excels in its attention to detail. The bedding is comfortable, and it's very quiet at night with good soundproofing. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, are all very polite and quick to respond to any issues. It offers great value for money, and I felt very secure staying here. The valet parking attendant at the entrance provided excellent service too! (¯▽¯)👍

The staff were incredibly patient and attentive throughout, with no hint of perfunctoriness. The check-in process was clear and efficient, and they proactively helped me choose a room with a great view. Any last-minute requests were handled immediately, whether it was luggage storage, directions, or coordinating other needs – everything was dealt with quickly and excellently. The front desk staff member, Vivian, was professional and friendly, providing prompt and meticulous service that made me feel completely at ease and comfortable throughout my stay. This truly reflects Shangri-La's high standard of quality service.

The guest room was spacious and bright, with a well-thought-out layout and refined, minimalist decor. It was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring an excellent night's sleep. The toiletries were of high quality, the bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area, and all facilities were complete and well-maintained, showing attention to detail. The room offered expansive views and ample natural light, making it exceptionally pleasant for relaxation.

The public areas were clean and tidy, with well-maintained facilities. The staff across the board – from lobby service to housekeeping and security – showed an outstanding service mindset, being friendly, professional, and highly responsible. The entire check-in and stay process was smooth and worry-free. The ambiance, comfort, and service were all impeccable, and the value for money was exceptional. I've stayed at this hotel multiple times already – I highly recommend it to everyone!
