"The hotel is close to train station, but need to walk for around 20 mins to city centre, we think it’s totally fine especially when the weather is good, and the staff recommended us to walk along the river side which is a good idea. The room is very clean, tidy and modern. There is free water, tea and coffee in a pantry near the reception but the reception and pantry will be closed at 11pm everyday. Last but not least, I would like to thanks the staff (a middle age lady) who recommended us a very decent restaurant nearby to conclude our last night in Belgium when we asked for her recommendation. We will definitely choose this hotel again if we visit Ghent again in the future."

"The hotel is quite good, modern, clean, central, and the front desk staff are very attentive and friendly. Plus, they offer complimentary coffee, chocolate, and teas at reception. The only thing I didn't like was being charged an extra €15 for getting our room a few hours before 3 PM. It was either that or pay €2 every 2 hours to store our luggage in their lockers, which would have cost us around €10 or €15 anyway. I don't understand why, for a €650 reservation for three nights, they can't let you store your luggage in the room if it's available when you arrive a bit early."

The twin bed room is quite big enough, interior design is nice and bright. The bathroom is clean, except there are some rubbish remaining inside the bin when we first check in, but the staff were managed to help to clean immediately upon request. There are lots of kitchen utensils being provided which is convenient for people who planned to cook during the trip, location of the hotel is close to train station except all nearby shops were closed quite early at night, walking back to hotel in dimmed street light is a bit scary but the district seemed safe.

Funky hotel where you can see creativity in every corner . Spotlessly clean every where. Staff are supper friendly and helpful. Water fountain on the floor we are staying , tea/coffee making facilities and hair dryer in the room. Iron board in the corridor if required . They thought about every detail to make guest’s life easy .Definitely stay here if we come back to Ghent again. 20 min walk to center of the Ghent but we enjoyed the stroll !

There's a black crystal stove and microwave in the kitchen. There's a supermarket just across the bridge, which is very convenient. The view is great from the window, and there are plenty of toilets without having to queue. Laundry is affordable, 5 euros for washing and 2 euros for drying clothes. Sometimes you have to queue. The counter staff are friendly. The only difference is that if you arrive early, the door locker is charged by the hour, and small luggage is 0.3 euros per hour. I highly recommend this hotel and will come back.

The room was fine. We needed extra bedding and 2 nice staff came immediately and made the extra bed for us. However! We arrived with a reservation confirmation of 2 adults 1 child. Their confirmation had 2 people therefore the room they had was too small. They did have another room for 3 they said we could have but it would be 30 euros extra. At the time we simply agreed and paid as there was a big queue behind us and the amount was small. Buttons seemed like a con to extract more money from us, it wasn't our mistake as we had confirmation for 3 people at the designated price. It's a shame as I really liked Ghent and will certainly return but there are other hotels to choose from.

The hotel is in the centre of town, 5 min to the castle, churches and shopping street. We arrived by car. It was very difficult to find the hotel because it was in the pedestrian area. We had to park the car nearby and find the hotel on foot. At check in, the hotel advised that their car park is full and advised us the location of the public car park. The room is nicely with separate toilet and shower room. The pillow feels over used and not comfortable. Breakfast is fairly good with nice bread and cheese.

Great location with everything within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options. Service was outstanding. As we had to check out at 4am on our last day, we informed the hotel that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the breakfast. The team kindly prepared a takeaway food bag for us, which was a very thoughtful gesture.

Rooms are not the same as shown on the website. Location is 100 meter walk from Hotel de Flandre, the opposite side. The receptionist said as friendly to walk us to the other hotel building called City Garden Hotel. It's more motel like hotel. Staircases are very slippery when it rains, if you choose not to use the lift. Rooms are not well maintained, light bulbs not working, safe not functional in one room, or low battery in the other room changed. We reported it to the reception, offered to changd one room, this time there is no toilet door??!!! And lots of diets and hair here n there... Honestly overall experience is a bit disappointing for what you paid, thus not good value for money.

Excellent! The decor is stylish, and it's clean and quiet. Although it's not in the city center, public transport is very convenient. Finding a queen-size bed in a standard room in Europe is a huge bonus, needless to say. The long-haired, black-haired female receptionist was very enthusiastic. The only minor downside was the tissue box, which only had about five sheets – I wonder if they forgot to replace it.

Ideal location if you have an event at Flanders Expo. Easily accessible by public transport. Spacious, beautiful, and clean rooms with everything you could possibly need. The beds are wonderfully comfortable! The air conditioning cools perfectly, and the bathroom is super hygienic. The staff are very friendly. Highly recommended!
