The service is very good, very clean and tidy, the doorman is very enthusiastic, and greets you every time you go in and out~ The room is clean and the bathroom is large, the location is good, and the pasta in the restaurant opposite is delicious. The rooftop terrace is beautiful, but you can only go up from one elevator. The other elevator goes to the suite on the 6th floor~ I didn't meet other people on the terrace, it was quiet and comfortable

Anonymous UserIt was a really nice stay, the staffs were friendly too. I forgot who greeted me during the night check-in time, but he sure gave me so many recommendations during my stay in Florence, and I am truly grateful for that. He deserves a five star service ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
Room was okay, clean, spacious for myself (even for two).
The cons: My room was not cleaned even though I had put the ”please make up room” sign. I went out, and when I returned to my room, the sign had been changed to ”do not disturb”, I didn't know who did that, but my room was not cleaned that's for sure. The guests who stayed beside my room were VERY NOISY even at night when people were sleeping. I could even here all the things they said inside their room.
Overall, quite a good stay in Florence 😊👍🏻

Villa Tortorelli is a charming mix between a bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible.
Check-in & First Impressions
The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect.
One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues.
Room & Comfort
I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning.
The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily.
One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets.
Breakfast Experience
The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right.
The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location
The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city.
One Minor Issue
The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive.
Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for Karen’s service and the peaceful villa atmosphere!

Guest UserThis hotel's rooms are incredibly beautiful and clean! They provide a wide array of disposable amenities, including slippers and body lotion, which is quite rare for European hotels. Our room even had a small balcony with a lovely view of the pool downstairs and the surrounding trees.
While breakfast wasn't entirely to my taste, the variety was impressive, even featuring honey with a honeycomb.
The front desk offers complimentary luggage storage, which was very helpful.
A thoughtful touch was the free long-handled umbrellas available for guests, especially since it happened to be raining during our stay.
The only real downside is that, despite being close to Florence train station in a straight line, the walk from the station to the hotel is actually quite long. Plus, exiting the Florence station involves going down a set of stairs, which is very inconvenient with large luggage. This made the walk to the hotel feel even longer, especially with intersections where poor signal made maps unclear and it was easy to get lost.
Nonetheless, I highly recommend this hotel. The internal environment is very well-maintained, and the front desk staff are patient and polite. If I have the chance to visit Florence again, I would definitely choose this hotel. The price is truly excellent value for money.

Guest UserComfortable and pleasant stay for 2 friends in the twin room. The room was spacious enough and very clean. No complaints about the room. The air conditioning was also very powerful and a nice escape from the heat outside. The hostel is literally right opposite the train station and only a 5-8 minute ride away from firenze santa maria novella by the regional trains. However, the trains were sometimes delayed up to 20 minutes. There's also a bus stop outside the hotel, however only one bus goes there and it comes every 20 minutes, so be prepared to wait. The bus timings is also not accurate on google maps so you must check at the stop directly. The hostel is also just a 30 minute walk to the central (santa Croce area) so if you don't mind walking, it's quite convenient! The luggage storage is very helpful if you arrive earlier than the check in time. Theres also a grocery store a close walk away which was great!

Amazing stay. 10 min drive to a parking in the City Center in Florence. Kids loved it, they were tired of hotels, this is a tiny house, lots of families around, camper vans, playground, shop, pool, laundry.
The tiny house is super clean, spotless, probably brand new. Very efficient, well organised. We took a premium one, it is already not large for a family. Spotless linen and towels, all duvets were sealed in a bag, looks dry cleaned, fresh. All tableware, cooking ware and cutlery provided. Air conditioner in both rooms, mosquito nets, proper water pressure and hot water.
Very nice attentive staff. We checking late in the evening, which was a plus for us, we saw a checking queue in the morning it looked very long.
All the best to this place and the team!

Guest UserClean hotel, great location
Stayed for a week. Had a single room, small, but clean and efficient. On 2nd floor, backside of building, great view of orange roofs, the back steeple of San Marco church, the dome of the Duomo, and the tower at Piazza Signoria. Very quiet, there is a botanical garden across the street in back, so you can hear birds chirping. Went up to the top terrace a couple of times in the early evening, very nice, But would be too hot in daytime in the sun. Decor was “funky”: paintings looked straight out of a kindergarten classroom, and a chandelier made of plastic soda bottle parts- but fine! Bathroom looked as if it was renovated in the past year, very clean; great water pressure in shower. Air conditioner worked well. Staff were friendly and available 24/7 - great if you arrive after 10pm. Housekeeping came everyday, emptied wastebaskets, tidied the bedsheets and changed towels while I was out. I didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on it.

Excellent location, excellent treatment and service by all the staff, especially by the receptionist who is there in the mornings and who knows how to speak Spanish. Their kindness and attention: exceptional, the fact that it has a swimming pool, even if it is small, to take a dip especially in summer, with the heat that it is, is an important point to take into account, and although I have read that they do not warn that it does not have an elevator and that in many cases, like us, they send you to the second floor with many steps, it is true, but they also take your suitcases up and down.
Without a doubt, I will stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Florence.

tung tung shamDuring my recent trip to Florence, I had the pleasure of staying at the Anglo American Hotel. Overall, my experience at this hotel was delightful, and I would gladly recommend it to fellow travelers.
First and foremost, the location of the Anglo American Hotel is superb. Situated in the heart of Florence, it offers easy access to the city's major attractions, including the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Uffizi Gallery. The hotel's central location made it convenient for me to explore the city on foot and truly immerse myself in its rich history and culture.
The hotel itself has a charming and elegant ambiance. The interior is tastefully decorated, combining classic elements with modern touches. The common areas, such as the lobby and lounge, are inviting and provide a comfortable space to relax after a day of sightseeing.
The staff at the Anglo American Hotel deserves special praise. From the moment I arrived, they were friendly, professional, and attentive. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests I had, and their local knowledge and recommendations were invaluable in helping me navigate the city and discover hidden gems.
My room at the hotel was spacious and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the room amenities, including a flat-screen TV and minibar, met my expectations. The cleanliness and tidiness of the room were maintained throughout my stay, thanks to the diligent housekeeping staff.
While the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, it does offer a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. The breakfast spread was varied and catered to different tastes and dietary preferences. I particularly enjoyed the freshly baked pastries and the selection of local cheeses and cured meats.
One minor drawback was the absence of a fitness center or spa facilities within the hotel. However, the staff was helpful in providing information about nearby fitness centers and wellness options, ensuring that guests have access to these amenities if desired.
In summary, my stay at the Anglo American Hotel Florence was a delightful experience. The prime location, attentive staff, and comfortable accommodations contributed to a memorable visit to this beautiful city. While the absence of certain amenities was a minor drawback, it did not significantly impact my overall satisfaction with the hotel. I would recommend the Anglo American Hotel to travelers seeking a centrally located, well-appointed hotel with a charming ambiance in Florence.
