GGuest UserThe La Gemma is a wonderful place to stay in Florence. Staff was very helpful & gave us a nice upgrade when we checked in for our second stay there. They also put a bottle of chilled champagne in our room to celebrate my birthday. Also enjoyed the lovely spa & rooftop outdoor lounge area with amazing views of the city. Will definitely stay there again.

Because the hotel is located in the old city, the house is relatively old, but overall the experience is good.

PPhilip T.This is the best hotel we stayed in Italy, with amazing attention to details, including room facilities where you will be amazed by the set up of the bathtub, the concierge, Cosmo, who can book you any restaurant in the city and grant you VIP treatment in The Mall Firenza, the doorman’s hospitality is also amazing, plus it is in the center of of city where all the hot spots are in walking distance. We will definitely come back!

AAnonymous UserThis hotel boasts an excellent location, making it incredibly convenient for accessing the city center and numerous popular attractions. Its proximity to the train station is a huge plus for travelers, offering fantastic transport links. I particularly recommend the hotel's rooftop bar; the sunset views from there are absolutely stunning and definitely worth enjoying with a drink – the atmosphere is superb. Overall, the hotel facilities are quite good, including a gym and a sauna. However, there were a couple of minor downsides during my stay:
* **Small room size:** Once luggage was opened, the room felt a bit cramped.
* **Inconvenient sauna use:** When we wanted to use the sauna, the equipment was turned off. We had to specifically inform the front desk to switch it on, and then wait for it to heat up, which was quite inconvenient. I suggest the hotel could improve the regular operation of this facility.
Overall, the transport and views here are outstanding, but there's still room for improvement regarding service details and room space.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the train station. We didn't take a taxi when we arrived, so we walked for over ten minutes along the cobblestone road with our luggage. The hotel is next to a small square and not far from a bridge. The city isn't large, so getting around is easy. The room was quite large, and the extra bed was basically just the sofa at the end of the bed. Every night, there was a turndown service, even for a small sofa, and they provided soothing tea bags and an eye mask before bed. On our first day, we even received a complimentary bottle of wine in the room. I loved the wine, and it was quite nice! The room service was quite refined and thorough. Breakfast on the first floor was quite varied and à la carte. The extra bed for the child, perhaps because we didn't specify that there were three people staying, cost an extra 480 euros when we checked out, which was a bit pricey.

The room is large in size and much larger than the average European room. There are very few types of breakfast in the hotel, but the desserts are very beautiful and delicious. It is too happy to eat different small bread cakes every day. It is worth complaining that the room actually provides instant coffee powder. Get rid of this but in Italy, will the heart not hurt?

However, the basic room type is not in the main building, but in another building, which has a seafood restaurant and a separate breakfast room. Of course, if you want to go to the main building for breakfast and dinner, it is no problem. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the main building. If you are too lazy to walk, you can take an electric car.

The staff at the Anglo American Hotel deserves special praise. From the moment I arrived, they were friendly, professional, and attentive. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests I had, and their local knowledge and recommendations were invaluable in helping me navigate the city and discover hidden gems.

GGuest UserI booked total 14 days for a same room, I just request make up room services 2 times only, that why my room face tissue and toilet tissue use finished, so I ask for more 2 boxes face tissue and 2 rolls toilet tissue, but a male room service staff don’t give and say need exchange one box face tissues for one roll toilet tissue and then I walk in complain this case with reception female staff, finally she give me back 2 rolls toilet tissue, but her attitude so bad sit say me wrong use words describe toilet tissue only, may I ask all room customer if case like this make sense or not?
Original I gave them full mark comment for this hotel, now I trade back my original comment and give them lower mark comment first until after 2 days when I leave this hotel and they do back good attitude and improve for their service and then I will give back them good comments!
I am very easy handle person just say actually things only!
