We stayed in this hotel as part of an Inghams ski holiday. The Inghams part for fine but this is not a 4 star hotel. The rooms are very small and in need of a refurb. The shower was the smallest space I can ever imagine being used as a shower. The whole hotel could do with smartening up, it's all a bit tired. The reception and bar was actually quite homely and inviting as was the restaurant for those not with Inghams on half board. The staff varied from OK to uninterested. The real problem was that the standard the restaurant, the food and the service were not what you expect in a four star hotel. We paid for half board and although the breakfasts were just about OK, the evening meals were well below an acceptable standard. They were so bad that we started eating - and paying - elsewhere. The ski room was basic. The heated boot rack was fine but in a hotel with 30 plus skiers you need more than two chairs and one wobbly bench. It is also located at the end on a long dark corridor and the exit is out though a very unappealing service area with crates of empty bottles. Interestingly the hotel also has an excellent restaurant in the basement - not included in the half board package - with great food and a professional level of service. I would give this hotel a miss.

Lovely hotel in a great location, literally a 2 min walk to the nearest lift. Stayed on a half board basis, the evening meals were fabulous - set menu. All the staff at the hotel were incredible too. Nice views, boot/ski storage, spa too. Recommended .

We had an awesome week at Hotel Punta Maquingas. Authentic, friendly and welcoming service all week. The staff couldn’t do enough to help. Great atmosphere in the comfortable bar and delicious food every night. Rooms were small but comfortable. Absolutely A1 location close the the slopes. Would definitely come back.

Lovely, friendly hotel. 3 mins walk from the boot room to the lifts. Rooms a decent size, with typical skiing d3cor. The bar & dining area a little mor3 quirky & individual. Staff in the restaurant are wonderful. They spoke very little English & we spoke even less Italian, but nothing was a bother. We stayed on a half board basis, so glad we did as the food was really good & plentiful. Even for me who needs a gluten free diet there was no problem accommodating. The deserts as my family will agree with were fantastic. Hope to come back.

Entering the hotell gives you an experience of odd art and bright colours. Every space is covered in either modern paintings or anchient artifacts from old Cervinia. The atmosphere is absolutley genuine. Rooms are small but nice and surpricing. Elevator to every floor. Staff is service minded and always ready to help. There is a ski room in the cellar where your ski boots are beeing heated over night. Soo nice!! A tunnel under the Hotel brings you to the ski-room and you can exit and enter it from the back at the Hotel. There is also a car park here, even if site on internet says it is not. Restaurant is OK. Bar is big and fun. The Hotel is situated about 4 walking minutes from the ski lift (from the ski-room). In the center of Cervinia. Could not be better. Book a room here, and you will be content - as well as your wallet!

The staff could not have been more helpful, in particular the hotel manager Altjon. Hotel perfectly located next to slopes, our room was good sized and cleaned daily, big breakfast - generally good value. Cozy bar area and very good pizza restaurant as well.

On a value for money basis, which is how I review, this was poor. We paid 240 Euros per room b&b. The rooms were small, however they were as per other reviews very clean. Fresh towels every day. Heating did not come on till 6pm which is too late. We had to asked for water for the room as we thought, the maid service was forgetting to put it into the fridge. When we came to check out we had been charged for it! At 240 Euros per room, one very cheap bottle of water per person per day is an absolute basic. The room decor was twee as has been reported, and despite cleanliness it was getting a little worse for wear. What appeared to be bleach stains on the carpet outside the bathroom for instance. Space for clothing was adequate, and also the lighting was decent. Breakfast was very poor. Nothing was self service, which I assumed was an Italian government restriction till we stayed at our airport hotel on return. Staffing was inadequate, all coffee had to be ordered and if having a cafe latte as we do, it was tepid. Milk it would appear was not heated. There was no change at all in the daily offering. Either brown or white pre cut baguette type bread. Peaches and prunes both tinned. A choice of yogurt tubs. What in my opinion was ok reconstituted scrambled egg, but really awful streaky bacon type meat, that was warmed though, with very little cooking. Around 3 cereals choices. Sliced cheese, sliced ham and a decent cheese you had to ask to be cut. This is the daft thing, the staff then put their hands directly on the cheese to hold it whilst cutting! So much for covid and other hygiene issues. We needless to say cut off the outside edges and disposed. Also a selection of packet preserves. If we were paying 150 euros per night it would have been ok, just but it was 240 euros. Also the ski boot room came out of the service entry. You had to claw around beer barrels, and deliveries and equipment of all sorts. Also andy setting for 5 in the boot room. The staff were friendly, the bar was decent with good drinks, but this could not hide the fact that for 240 euros per night it was well overpriced. I need to point out that we booked this last minute after Crystal totally destroyed our planned holiday in the adjacent Europa hotel, by saying we were going to Sauze d’ Oulx. ( That’s another story) So we were happy to get in a very busy Cervinia at short notice, but would have hoped for better accommodation for the money.

If you like traditional and quirky then this is for you. Decor could be described as individual or dated.however rooms are fine and with storage for all that ski gear!! Cleaned every day with new towels and bed linen mid week. Breakfast good choice but hotel was well below capacity so not sure how much would be left if you were a late riser. Central location near 2 lifts and plenty of bars and restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful especially if you want to practice your Italian!!! We had 5.30 am departure and we're offered coffee and a breakfast bag with ham cheese sandwich water and biscuits A lovely gesture by the hotel Happy skiing Val and Mick Molineux West Midlands
