Les Neiges d'Antan

From the moment we walked in, we knew we were somewhere really special. From the fantastic cosy bar and vinyl selection, to the incredible quality of food, nothing was too much trouble. Possibly the most peaceful and tranquil ski hotel we’ve ever stayed in, nestled up in the mountains. It’s about 10 minutes drive to Cervinia, but the non-stop fleet of vehicles made this a non-event. The atmosphere was so nice and the service was top class. The interior was so nice, and it felt like coming home every time we got back from skiing. I got married in Tuscany, but I would have loved to get married in this hotel. One of my top 5 hotel experiences ever.

What a treat!! My friend and I had a great time at Les Neiges. Our stay was a real treat. Ludovico and his team really understand what being 'hospitable' mean!! Our room was super comfortable (I slept on the sofa bed and no complaints, despite the fact that I have light sleep). We loved the spa, I personally loved the cold water plunge which I had never done before. And special mention goes to the food, all delicious. I eat Gluten Free and there were plenty of choices.

We just spent a fantastic 3 nights with our adult children at Les Neiges.The location in the forest 5 minutes out of town adds to the charm.The shuttle service is faultless and so quick, we would phone skiing down and he was waiting as we arrive at basecamp, the 5 course dinner is amazing and top end for a ski hotel. Returning from a days skiing, the spa was wonderful and never busy. Deborah the front desk manager was brilliant in the whole booking process, making us so welcome daily, upgrading our room, dropping our hire skis back at the shop to allow us more time to ski the final day, nothing was too much trouble for her, shes a major asset to the hotel. This is a real family run hotel and you are made to feel very welcome as soon as you arrive, we would love to return here in the summer. Our first day last weekend, there was so much snow overnight they actually closed the resort and Zermatt for the whole day due to avalanche risk which was a major blow as we were only there 2.5 days, but Deborah and the owners had advised us the night before not to book lift tickets until it was confirmed when it would open which saved us a fortune. The wine list is amazing ( not cheap and nothing under 40 euros even for house wine), but its a ski hotel so you expect this. Cervinia is a great resort and I would 100% return to this hotel.

Its always wonderful and so relaxing to stay at Les Neiges d'Antan! Its a perfect combination of simplicity and the highest quality and service. The location a bit outside of Cervinia, only surrounded by snow, trees and mountains makes it private and peaceful. The beautiful spa is a perfect ending of a day in the slopes. You dont want to leave this place!

This is a fantastic hotel, in my world top ten. What makes it so good is that it is small, privately run by a dedicated team that act like a family. Nothing is too much trouble and they step in and deal with every request without breaking sweat. It could not be more different from a (luxury) chain hotel - the people really care about doing their job to as high a standard as possible, and it really shows. Deborah, Lorenzo, Marina, Pierre Giorgio, Andrea, Agostin and the legendary barman are a few names from a team of excellence.

This is a really special hotel. Best bits: - lots of snug and cosy places to sit in the evenings - great bar with snug library area - lovely spa area with 2 outdoor jacuzzis, a cold plunge pool, steam room and sauna. Deckchairs near a fireplace indoors - we always found a space - very friendly staff and management, especially the lady at reception. Very helpful in making lunch restaurant bookings. - very good breakfast with wide array of cakes, juices, savoury options - rooms are comfortable and large. Bathrooms have Ortigia toiletries - convenient ski room with heated boot rack - secluded location (but see below re: distance from slopes) Things we liked less - The hotel is actually located a good 10 minutes’ drive from Cervinia ski resort, thankfully they have shuttle cars/ vans constantly taking you there and back, but that means a small delay each morning and evening - the dinner on half board set menu was too much for us, with 4 courses, and not to everyone’s taste (snails, etc). It also took far too long as people are tired after a day skiing and not wanting to sit for over 2h. But we found a way through by choosing only 2 courses and in fairness, they were accommodating with offering non fish options / changing the sauce etc. Nevertheless my feedback would be that dinner could be simplified for those who wish it to be, and made much faster. - the rooms are very dark / poor lighting - some staff speak no English, including the young staff in the restaurant and the drivers. Not a massive deal but that meant having to call the person at reception or head waiter to get understood

I stayed a week at the hotel as part of a ski vacation. From the very first moment I felt at home, the owner, very nice, a warm hearted person and genuinely interested in the guests The hotel is very nicely decorated, it has all the amenities, 2 saunas (dry and wet), an ice pool, a jacuzzi and everything is perfectly integrated in nature. The hotel restaurant is a very generous chef restaurant. The hotel is a few minutes drive outside of Cervina, which turned out to be an advantage since there are vehicles that bring you to the cable car at the beginning of the day and pick you up at the end so that you can start and finish in different places and all this less than a 5 minute drive away. I highly recommend the hotel and I am sure I'll be back in the future.

Our stay was simply the perfect mountains holiday. We have only immense appreciation for this fabulous hotel and the great human beings running it. Perched on a hill with stunning views of the Cervino, this cozy, stylish (read quality design and artworks), and historic place will keep on delivering what you need and more. From the gourmet dinner (and breakfast) experience every day, to the perfect spa to relax after a day of skiing, excellent wine cellar and cocktails, top notch massages, the list of highlights could be much longer. For those interested in ski, the position a few minutes from both Cervinia and Valtournanche - yet away from the traffic and noise of Cervinia - is ideal, especially with the car of Neiges d’Antan bringing you right to the lifts and back to the hotel with a couple minutes notice. The half board is absolutely worth it, and the chef delivers 4 course meals full of excellent produce from the region. A special mention for the magical evening organized for New Year’s Eve, with oysters and champagne served in the candle-lit hundred years old wine cellar, followed by an incredible dinner and music. Last but not least, a big thanks to the staff who really go above and beyond and to the owners of this poetic place, which truly felt like a home away from home. As we drive down the mountain, we already can’t wait to be back. Grazie a tutti, Carin & Jean-Nicolas
