I often travel to Brussels for business and in all fairness after seeing the reviews and the comments here I didn't know what to expect from this hotel, so I feel it's fair to give it some justice as it's not nearly as bad as it seemed from here. First of all, the service was real nice. The room was being vacuumed while I was getting in, the cleaning lady was super friendly and kind. It's obviously not the newest hotel, the furniture looks dated and it smells dated as well, but the hygiene and overall cleanness are up to standards. I've been to five-star hotels with a service that is not as high. The towels are replaced each day, the beds are made, and the room is cleaned thoroughly. The breakfast is wonderful with a lot of options to choose from. The bed is very comfortable. I enjoyed drawing a relaxing bath after a long day of meetings, it's not that often that you have a bath tub in a hotel. Compared to other hotels I've stayed in Brussels, for this price you won't get anything much better. It's located right next to the EU Commission and the bus line that goes straight to the airport stops just around the corner, so the location is great too. Besides that, it is in the quiet part of Brussels, so you can wake up in the morning to the sound of birds and no traffic noise. The only mishap I had is that the main light stopped working in my room due to a problem with the light switch, but I noted the reception about it. They took note and called their technicians, but they couldn't fix the problem the same day. However, they offered to move me to another room. The girl at the reception was super friendly and helpful. In general, good value for money (in Brussels standards), nothing wow, but pretty much okay if you are staying for business for a couple of days and wish to be close to the EU parliament for a decent price.
