Haeundae Hound Signature Hotel

Second stay here. The rooftop pool is delightful. The room size is quite generous for Korea, with a separate toilet and shower, and a clothes refresher. The location is convenient, close to the subway, the beach, and Haeundae. The only downside is that the Butterful & Creamous on the ground floor has closed and been replaced by a GS25.

The hotel's location is great, making it convenient for both leisure and daily activities. It's not too far to get to the central and eastern parts of the city for sightseeing. The west side is a bit further. This hotel is perfect for a relaxing beach vacation. Busan has limited subway lines, so I often relied on taxis. I found that Gaode Maps (Amap) was really helpful for checking routes, getting directions, and even booking taxis overseas, with payment options via Alipay or WeChat. This was super convenient and reassuring, though I think there was a service fee, plus a local Kakao platform fee, adding about 10-20 RMB. Most of the older taxi drivers I encountered were friendly and could navigate using Korean addresses. Busan's KTX (high-speed train) is also quite convenient, but it seemed like there were no restrooms on the train I took, though I'm not sure about other carriages. Be aware that traffic can be bad during evening rush hour and in poor weather conditions.

The Haundae Classic Hotel in Busan boasts an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from the beach and shopping areas. Having a convenience store on the first floor is also super handy for travelers. The rooms are clean, tidy, and feature relatively new facilities, with the garment care machine being a thoughtful touch for guests. The rooftop outdoor pool offers expansive views. The front desk service was friendly, though the breakfast selection was a bit limited – that’s the only minor drawback. Overall, it's good value for money, making it a great choice for exploring Haeundae.

The hotel's location is great, about a 5-minute walk to Haeundae Beach, and also about 5 minutes to the main road and subway station. The area is very quiet. We were given a room on the 12th floor this time, and it was quite spacious; we could even lay out two 28-inch suitcases. There's also a small balcony, a separate wet and dry bathroom, and a garment steamer. I didn't quite figure out how to use it fully, but the drying function worked really well and was very useful. The only downside was the mattress. It was very poor quality with no support at all, and the outer cover felt like plastic, causing the fitted sheet to slip around. If you slept near the edge, you'd feel like you might fall off. After a few nights, my back was completely ruined. However, the hotel's accessibility features are good. Although the lobby is much higher than street level, there's a ramp and a small lift, so getting up and down was no problem. There's also a GS25 convenience store in the lobby, and three more convenience stores at nearby intersections.
