As with most things we do this booking was last minute so we didn’t do the research beforehand. That being said we were pleasantly surprised. Deyli at the front desk was extremely accommodating. She checked us in early to a room with a partial river view. When we asked her if she could move us to a room with a more strait on view she didn’t hesitate. She really did everything she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. When we asked for extra towels and coffee it was there in less than 5 min. All this during one of the areas busiest weekends. Plus your no more than 15 minutes away from anything you’re going to do. We had a great time and will definitely be back next year. DO NOT STAY HERE- the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, given the price point. There are many hotel options in the Cambridge area, I'll go with Marriott Cambridge instead. Posted an extra charge to my credit card without telling me what it was or stating that in the receipt. Note that they don't provide any room service, citing covid when it's just a lame reason to not provide any service and probably to cut cost. None of the staff was wearing masks, so clearly, covid was not a concern. When I checked in, I noticed the bathroom did not have hand soap. So I called the front desk to ask for me, and they told me they would bring one to my room right away. IT NEVER ARRIVED. I could just shower gel, but that clearly pointed to management issues, and no one cared. Very stingy with their towels. They only give you two. And want more? You gotta ask for one. But remember, they did not care, so even if you call, you may not get a fresh towel. So why bother AC unit was SUPER LOUD. Like LOUD. Even if you set the fan to low, it was still LOUD. Bring earplugs if you are to stay here. The thermostat also did not work, it could not adjust the temperature. Also, the carpet in the room was dirty- some black gunk... didn't know what they were, but gross. The only upside was the gym. It was spacious, had dumbbells, etc. There's a Peloton for the Peloton fans. BUT, there's no water filling station. Are you thirsty after working out? Gotta pay for your water. The hotel presumes customers can fill their water bottles out of the pool if they're desperate. Overall, Marriott Cambridge has better gym equipment and a water-filling station.

First impression one gets of the hotel is the lobby which is very dark and depressing. It felt like the freight entrance. Second impression, I had to pay in full for my two night stay upon check-in. To me, that's not a very good sign. So, now I'm wondering if I've made mistake. I was looking to stay somewhere convenient but inexpensive as it was just me and I'm not particularly fussy. To the hotel's credit, my room was immaculate and recently updated. I was very pleased with this and expected a restful night's sleep. There was a tv, a coffee maker, a fairly large mini-fridge, and a clock radio along with the usual hotel room furnishings of a dresser, desk, desk chair, armchair, nightstand, etc. The towels were plentiful and thick enough for me and soap and shampoo were provided. However, there are powerful floodlights mounted to the exterior wall above my room's (Room 310) window that poured so much light into my room I thought it was daytime. In fact, it was 1 a.m. I only slept in short, miserable spurts after that. At any time during the night one could easily think he had overslept and a blazing mid-morning sun was shining outside. I could not risk another night without sleep so, despite having paid for a second night, I packed up and left the next day. Is it possible that those lights could be turned off past midnight or could heavy blackout curtains THAT REACH THE FLOOR be added to those room under those lights? I cannot be the only one who has brought this to your attention.

Started using this hotel during our daughter's freshman year at BU in 2014. We've has some up and down stay experiences over the years during the hotel renovation. However, this stay was very nice and I expect we'll continue to book this hotel on future trips to the Boston area.

The location is very convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the station. There is a free parking space in front of the hotel. If it is full and there is a parking lot next to it, it will cost 12 US dollars a day. The room is not big but has complete facilities for simple cooking. Clean every two days. There are Trader Joe's and outlets across the bridge, restaurants, and a small shopping district nearby. Very convenient choice.

Did I spend roughly $50 (pre-tax & tip) on a lobster roll and a glass of prosecco? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes. I'm going to touch on other aspects of my stay, but I can't believe how many fresh tasting, big, succulent chunks of lobster were in this hotel lounge lobster roll. It's cold & mayo based, which I know isn't for everyone (I see you got buttered lobster roll people and I understand completely; I'm just an equal opportunist when it comes to lobster rolls), but it was really good - like, not good for a hotel lounge, but good good. Yum! Ok, so why 4 stars? If it were based on the hospitality of the staff alone, I'd give it 6. Every staff member I encountered was genuinely affable - some were more outgoing than others, sure, but I appreciate mellow kindness. Also, this might be the first time I've remembered to pack all of my extra little charging stations, and I didn't even need them. So many conveniently placed outlets and USB ports - and the main room light was warm toned and welcoming, which is also a little treat :) I had to take away a star because of the general noise. My sleep wasn't disturbed, because I always travel with hardcore ear plugs and a sleep mask, but I couldn't close the curtains all the way (even with the pants hanger clip trick) so there was light coming in, and I could hear everything in the hall. Also plumbing noises (like pipes pinging and gurgling - nothing alarming, just...mildly intrusive). I was also disappointed that there wasn't a laundry bag or dry cleaning service like there are in the other Marriotts I've stayed in; I want to call myself out on not going to the front desk to ask specifically for this, but every other Marriott I've been in has a laundry bag with a dry cleaning order form in the closet. There also weren't any extra blankets in the closet; again, I didn't ask the front for one (and I'm sure they would have given one to me) but I wish there had been one in the room as it was super comfortable until I woke up at 2 am - which is really late and inconvenient to realize you need extra blankets. Ok, so that's why I took away a star. The other 4 are for the friendly staff, incredibly convenient location (anywhere I didn't walk, I took a Bluebike from the stand right outside), gorgeous fitness center (Pelotons?! What?!), and general cleanliness. If I come back to Boston/Cambridge for work, I'm 100% staying here. (If I come for pleasure, I'd probably try a quaint inn or something, but honestly I'd likely stay here the final night of my trip because it is also FIFTEEN MINUTES from the airport. But with a great river view, and no plane noises.) More on the location: walk to the river, and across the Harvard bridge. You're literally right there, and it's a great way to see the city (and while there's a CVS across the street, the one over the bridge is in a historic building. Oct2022: 3⭐: I selected this hotel as a result of needing a place close to the house with easy access to the airport. I selected this hotel through the Bonvoy app based on it fitting the criteria I desired. I wasn't able to get to the hotel until the afternoon hours about 1700. I picked up my spouse from the airport and we decided to get her checked in at the hotel on the way to the hospital down the toll road. I noted that the hotel was difficult to enter and it took a bit of concentration to locate the front entrance of the hotel as it sits over top of the tollway 90. There were two handicapped parking areas available at the check in lot. There is a pay parking garage attached to the hotel and adjacent to the front entrance into the hotel. The parking garage has more handicapped parking areas available and regular parking as well. The areas are not good for large trucks or RVs. The entrance was located and I parked and we went into the hotel. We walked to the front desk and a female worker didn't greet us, didn't say hello, nor did she say welcome to the hotel. The worker said ”give me your id”. My wife was standing there to my side and I looked to see if there was someone else there we had stepped in front of or cut in line. There was no one there but us. My wife said what did she say? Is this the check in desk? I commented that this is the check in window, right? What happened to the smile, good afternoon, welcome to Sheraton, or just hello. DEMANDING my identification upon entering the building was definitely not appropriate. Having a bad day isn't MY fault. I have a choice to choose this location, not the other way around. We finished the check in at the desk, paid for parking, and we went to the room. We dropped off the bags and found that the bathroom door sags and does not properly close as it's hitting the bottom of the frame. One of the window blinds wasn't properly functional. The noise canceling device and the traffic was something to tolerate. Some vehicle drivers passing under the hotel on the tollway, enjoyed throttling the engine. This added noise to an already bad situation. Decent area food spots are walking distance from the hotel.

Very cost-effective hotel As a college student, I have to stay here for one night each time I return from Boston to the village. The traffic is also very convenient. It is close to logan and south station ~ Chinatown is next to it

The front desk service is good, breakfast is the best among several hotels in the United States, balanced and very full. Remember to get the food before 10 o'clock, outdated. The room is large, the fly in the ointment is that the room with disabled bathing equipment leaks more after the shower.

Convenient transportation, free parking, good environment, rich breakfast. People care about the location problem, personally feel that they can not comment, because I am renting a car, only consider convenient transportation, do not need to live in the city center, hot spots, because most cities rarely traffic jam, the location is not important
