Premier Inn Falkirk Central

A bit if braveheart there for you in the title. Premier inn was fine..clean dry onsuite room. Good size bed. Tv needs updating hard to switch channels with remote. Would william wallace have stayed here. Probably not, Edward longshanks maybe.

We arrived at check in and were given a muffled story about systems being down but they were being worked on, so not able to access the main door of the annex building, we asked were there no rooms in the main building so we could be free to come and go as we pleased, we were told no the hotel was fully booked but people were still checking in over 2 hours after us. This problem was not remedied the whole weekend, asking to be let in like children at night but the main door was jammed open for 2 days with a paint tin, everybody’s belongings inside!!!! The room was not clean, bags under the bed and mould along the bath. We have photos of all of this. We were so disappointed, we have stayed in various premier inns including Glasgow George Square on several occasions this year and there is no comparison regarding staff, facilities or cleanliness.

Hotel needs a complete makeover. Rooms very bare and tired looking but clean! Bed was comfortable and very good breakfast. Our friends had a mouldy bath towel in bathroom Wouldn't recommend. Disappointed as Premier Inn usually very good standard!!

This hotel Premier Inn Falkirk Central is not in the center of Falkirk. Its location is good for anyone with a vehicle. Its a good 15/20 minute walk into Falkirk center. The hotel and Beefeater pub attached very nice with accommodation in two buildings. The annexe being a 3 floor building but NO LIFT. The main building has a lift. The two main train stations in Falkirk again a good 20 min walk away or a £6/£7 taxi ride the nearest train station being Camelon and only 10 mininute walk away, passing various shops and take aways. Glasgow and Edinburgh both about 20 / 30 minutes bt train. Falkirk High being more frequent.

We enjoyed our visit to PI Falkirk, very professionally run, friendly staff, comfortable rooms (hard pillows, though!). This made the shortcomings more noticeable: having to go outside to get to the Beefeater for breakfast, always risky in Scotland, and a tiny tv screen in a spacious bedroom.

Visited here for long easter weekend, rooms were warm and very clean and comfortable, had great night sleep, was very quiet and bed really comfortable, staff so so friendly and welcoming, central to everywhere we needed to go and visit ,will definitely be back!!!

the usual standard for the Premier Inn comfortable for one night. however as the lift was broken we had to carry our luggage up 4 stories and as we are both 74 years of age this was not the best of starts.

On arriving my 5 year old Grandaughter said “because it’s not nice to look at, it might be nice inside” It wasn’t . Building exterior is very dirty and is in need of a makeover, as does the inside . Bed was solid and lumpy. Carpets had a good amount of stains on them as did the chair in room. If I had not been having a special day away with my Grandaughter I would have drive back home . I would like to say that the young girl on reception was lovely and very helpful. And the breakfast was delicious next door in the Beefeater . As a family we eat quite regularly in a Beefeater restaurant near our home and this one was lovely too. The staff were kept very busy but were attentive to us the whole time . I do recommend breakfast here.

My mother-in-law stayed here whilst visiting. She found the hotel to be very comfortable, she slept well and found the staff to be very friendly. It was her birthday and someone must have mentioned it as they left a box of chocolates in her room as a surprise and she was so chuffed about that. It made her feel very welcome and looked after.
