81 the Prom Hotel

booked this hotel over 12 months in advance for my husbands 40th birthday. I booked the hotel in December 2023 and secured a price of £741 for 3 nights. In March 2024 (4 months later) the hotel contacted me to say unless I agreed to an increased price of £900 a night my room would be cancelled. I try to speak with them and open a complaint as my booking was made in good faith, they wouldn't even speak to me and cancelled my reservation. I have now been left out of pocket after booking tickets and making arrangments. Worst experience I have ever had - and has ruined my husbands birthday.

We had a studio apartment, its was stunning inside had great interior, pictures and character, felt really good quality, great atmosphere, etc, very helpful staff and an app you download to get all the details you need to check in which I thought was clever, I have seen these apps in the past and they are often complicated but this one is simple and easy to use. We booked parking which I would say is very important and its limited in the town. We will definitely return to 81 :) very good nights sleep etc.

Stayed for a business trip, simple booking and check-in process. Comfortable room, good part of town, easy access to restaurants. When i go away i don't want complications and this was very effective. Would stay here again. Loved the part of Cheltenham, just what you need.

The location is perfect, with easy access to town, shops and restaurants. The room was clean and as expected- lovely fluffy pillows and nice decore. No issues at all. I will be back next time I’m in Cheltenham. Always a good sign in my view!!!!

Great location, literally in the middle of the nicest part of the town opposite a lovely park and luxury shopping as well as various great restaurants. the Studio was very well presented and well equipped with great decor and good facilities, all in all a home form home! I would definitely return to this great place.

Beautiful decor, excellent location. We didn’t understand reviews re internet, as the wifi was super fast. We were also confused re the breakfast comments as the accommodation is listed as self managed studios, so we didn’t expect breakfast anyway. It’s surrounded by lovely cafes, so not a problem at all! Would definitely stay again.

We booked through Agobo who confirmed that breakfast was included. Obviously this was not the case as it is an aparthotel. I could have brought provisions had I known this. The room was warm clean and comfortable. Good bed and bedding. Very central with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. There was no Wi Fi throughout our 3 night stay and this was a problem for us.
