As the first stop of the tour, the hotel is perfect. The boss is a Beijing uncle, very enthusiastic.
Hygiene: The room is very clean, there is no peculiar smell, and there is plenty of hot water.
Environment: The bed is very comfortable. Be careful not to cook in the room because it may trigger the smoke alarm, but there are tableware and microwave in the room, so it is no problem to buy some food from outside.
Service: There is no problem with the service. The front desk lady and the boss are very enthusiastic.
Facilities: Although the hotel is a certain distance from the city, the facilities around the hotel are still very good. There is a small supermarket across the road where you can buy drinks and lighters. There is a large shopping mall ten minutes east, where you can shop, eat, and buy phone cards. There is a pharmacy ten minutes south, where you can buy some medicines just in case. There is a Vietnamese store called Hello Vietnam next to the hotel. The rice noodles are delicious. The cafe on the first floor of the hotel also has Vietnamese rice noodles. The uncle said it was also delicious, but we didn’t have time to eat it due to time constraints, but the uncle’s recommendation is definitely not a thunder.
I booked 3 bedrooms apartment with 3 queen beds and 1 sofa bed. The room is good. The only negative feedback is about the extra charge $30 each for children over 2 years old per night, as many hotels don’t charge children under 11 if they use existing beds. And more importantly, those hotels provide the info on Trip. I was surprised when I was told about the extra charge $180 for 3 children for 2 nights, eventually negotiated down to $90. I would suggest the hotel put children policy on Trip so that people is aware of extra $30 per child (over 2 years old) when they make the booking instead of checking in.
The hotel is quite new, room is very spacious and bed and pillows are super soft and comfortable. We spent 2 nights in Christchurch and it is about 15 mins walk to Bontanic garden and 20 mins walk to city area where many eateries and shopping are . The front desk staff and manager are very friendly and helpful and when we came in on early morning on Friday , they allowed us early check in and this really helped us as we were so exhausted after a red eye flight. The cafe at the hotel served great food and drinks as well and usually they are very crowded but we managed to have our breakfast there on the day we check out , yummy breakfast indeed!

Very clean room and comfortable bed. Close to everything and all the attractions are within 15 minutes walking distance. Free car parking is a bonus. Will definitely stay again.
The room was very quiet, the airport and the hotel's previous connection service was too convenient, the 9th door called the hotel, basically 5 minutes to the car! When you arrive at the airport, you will arrive at the front desk ten minutes in advance, which is very convenient and transfer the gospel.
A garden, two rows of rooms, very comfortable layout, the bus stop is at the door, you can walk to the supermarket in 5 minutes, cook and eat snacks yourself, don't mention more comfortable. The most joyful thing is that there is a bathtub, and finally get a good relaxation at the end of the trip. 👍 Finally, I would like to thank the enthusiastic housekeeper lady 💐
Good location, in the city center, next to the park. The boss is a pair of Chinese, and the Chinese communication is smooth. At the time of check-in, the door is closed, there is a prompt at the door, someone picks up the phone and someone opens the door. The parking is convenient, and the breakfast is paid separately. It seems to be the standard of 10 yuan and 15 yuan.
Has been greeted with a warm welcome upon arrival. The receptionist even showed our room till the doorstep. Also given some chocolates upon entering the room.
Pros: A very big room, double glazed glass, the bathroom is even disabled friendly. An afequate continental breakfast is served to the room (in the evening).
A nice clean small kitchen with a toaster, microwave, small fridge and a cooking stove (although we dont use them) is available.
Room is clean, with a huge tv set. Sifa set, dinner table and working table.
Restaurants are just round the corner.
Really recommend this place.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel was very accommodating before even arriving for my stay and agreed to a booking change due to a flight cancellation. The staff were helpful and friendly and the property itself is well maintained and the rooms clean and well appointed. I would stay here again.
OOGXThe landlord was very good. He checked us in at 2:00 pm, but he saw that we arrived after 1:00 pm and took the initiative to check us in. The house was a little old but very clean and tidy.
GGuest UserWe are on the road trip in New Zealand for 6 days now, this is by far the best hotel I’ve been. We like it so very much! The location is very close to the botanical garden, lots of restaurants nearby, very centralized. The hotel itself is very pretty with English garden all around the property, you can see the very well maintained flowers from every direction, it’s surreal, so so pretty, you have to come to enjoy this lovely view, the pictures can’t do the justice. The front desk ladies are very friendly and helpful, I changed 16 dollars to coins to do laundry. Our room is very quiet and super clean and close to the guess laundry room. The dinner was fantastic and breakfast was served with oatmeal! After 6 breakfast from different hotels with similar English breakfast dishes, I was surprised by the oatmeal served in this place. Best dinner in town, my husband was very impressed by the service, the ambiance and atmosphere. We have been 20 countries, trust me, this is one of the best hotel I’ve been in New Zealand and the world! It’s a pleasure and privilege to stay in such great hotel for one night!!
FFanieA lovely motel within a short driving distance to the city centre. There is a small shop (at petrol station) across the road, with restaurants and a range of shops within walking distance. The staff were exceptionally friendly! The actual room was brilliant. Clean sheets and towels every day, with a very nice bathroom and hot water throughout the day. Highly recommended!
KKristianBooked a bed in a dorm room, pretty convenient and clean. The bathroom was clean and fresh. The location is right across the art center. Everything is in walking distance. The staffs were kind and helpful. Minus point is that they didn’t provide tooth paste brush. Overall, I would love to stay at Give Hotel again someday. ☺️
HHelloI have given 5 stars to this motel for the service, cleanliness and amenities because each aspect of these beat my expectations! I am usually very conservative in giving reviews.
Initially I was expecting very basic service given it is a motel. But when I opened the door of the room I was quite surprised. You could feel the room is very clean and bright. The amenities are sufficient to make a simple meal for yourself. There is also daily housekeeping services as well (given it is a motel).
The staff at the reception are also very helpful. When I first arrived, the reception lady asked me where I planned to go and showed me the ways.
The motel is also close (5-10 minutes walk) to the Main Street at Riccarton and there are a lot of restaurants there. You can also take bus to the city centre which takes about 30 minutes including waiting.
The motel is also very close to the Christchurch railway station which is only 10 minutes walk, great if you are taking the scenic trains. There are also a number of shops near the Railway station and you can do some shopping for clothes, vitamins and fresh food too!
SSukyWe stayed at the hotel for 4 nights just recently, first arrived at the hotel, the reception was polite enough but not as helpful as any front desk staff coud be. The room was clean and comfy, location was fantastic, environment was superb (quite, few hote guests).
But somehow my wife lost her wedding ring from our room. We only noticed by the end of the day, and should have picked up earier.
Mr. Sui Beng Teh, the hotel manager, made it even worse from a travellers point of view. He has the worse attitude to the whole incident, instead of offering his empathy, he pushed responsibility back to the hotel guests who lost the wedding ring in his room at his hotel. His passive aggression is throughout all the poor google review!
He reacted bluntly when questioned about CCTV other than the door access record he could provide immediately, being agreesive at his answer and attitude towards to someone who turned over the room to just look for the missing ring. He was not friendly, empathatic nor welcoming despit he is in hospitality industry.
Im not blaming at anyone here or making any accusation on anyone but he as the hotel manager was the only one we could seek help for in a foreign country, and he expected us undedstanding how police and system worked here. To us, he made us sound like ****** and being forgetful on our own properties.
GGuest UserFriendly and helpful staff, great location for easy access into the city by bus and a walks distance from the airport. Basic white sheet room with en suite and shared laundry room.
圣圣代千层雪This is a Chinese-owned motel located in the heart of Riccarton, next to the Chinese supermarket, about 4-5 kilometers from the center of Christchurch. We live in a two-bedroom apartment. The facilities and equipment are a bit dated, but they are still in normal use. The upper and lower floors of the room, each with a bedroom and bathroom, can be used for cooking, which is suitable for a family. The price is relatively satisfactory. Suitable for self-driving friends.
CcallmebycharGreat cozy room. Spacious ensuite. Love the body length mirrors. Just wish I had a window I could open rather than a sliding door that looks out to the street! and the Cleaners should come a little later in the day for those who like a sleep in.
