Stayed here for one night. The room was very run down but I guess this was reflected in the price. Paid extra for breakfast but when we went down at just before 10 we were told they were closing and made to feel very unwelcome, we left and went elsewhere for food. When I rang the next day to request a refund the receptionist was very short with me, promised me a manager would ring me, I have waited a month before posting a negative review but as I have had zero communication I felt it was about time. Would not stay here again. Reception staff seriously need to sort their attitudes out.

Convenient for us , easy parking. Extra large firm bed, comfy, quiet, clean room, good shower. I personally prefer a bath but for one night it was ok. Nice simple tasteful modern design and decor . Reasonable price.Would recommend. Didn't have breakfast so can't review that.

We are a family of three adults. We booked a table for three on 28th Dec 2023 for 1.15 pm for a Carvery lunch. I had the beef, while my wife and son had the chicken. My beef was fine, but the chicken was so dried up that it had become inedible. My wife, being polite, simply told me that it was rather dry and she was unable to finish it. I decided to try it. It was so dried up that I couldn't cut it properly. It was very hard to chew, and I could only swallow it with the aid of several glasses of water. My son then admitted that his was the same, although I wasn't willing to try his! When the waiter came us, I complained in a polite manner just how bad the meals had been, He said that he would speak to the chef. We waited about ten minutes but there was no sign of the chef. We decided to complain at the till but they showed little interest other than tell me that they had added a service charge to the bill. I told him to remove it as we had received poor service. That evening I sent an E-mail to the restaurant. Having heard nothing at all by Wednesday, I telephoned and spoke to a person who said that he was one of the two managers and would be investigating my complaint that very afternoon. He didn't give me his name. It is now Sunday evening, and still nothing from the restaurant or either of the two managers. Very poor quality food and disgusting manner in which a polite complaint has been handled.

Highly recommend this property! Travelling from Australia with the family, it really was a comfy and pleasant stay. From our initial call to the receptionist Sam and making our booking, to our check in, stay in the room, dinner and breakfast - everything was fabulous and such value for money. Being only 10 mins to the Forest of Dean in the Wye Valley where we had a morning of cycling through the forest, it was the perfect choice! The family room was very comfortable and clean and with twin beds for our teenagers with their own TV too, they loved it. Highly recommend this property!

The Club House, Food and Staff were excellent. The accommodation block across the carpark was very tired and not particularly clean. In the bedroom the shower cubicle tiles were dirty and the grouting very mouldy. The windows frames had rusty chains and fittings fitted to limit the window opening. The furniture was chipped and old and carpets dusty around the bed. The reception staff in the accommodation block were brilliant, friendly and accommodating.
