Fenix Furano was a quaint little hotel with little frills, but it suited us fine... we understood the green policy behind minimising housekeeping, and we are totally fine with in.
One downside is that they didn't have non-slip mats for the bathtub when you used it to shower. The body soap was very soapy and with the tub surface; making it a potential safety concern... and indeed, my elderly mum-in-law fell and hit her head.. she had a bump and some bleeding. We hope that the management looks into this for the safety of all guests.
Apart from this, we enjoyed the tranquillity of the vacinity and drove out to wherever we wanted from there. We would recommend this place if you have a rental car.
We had a very pleasant stay in Felix West.
I had to specially give compliment to the hotel staff and service team. They are very helpful, friendly, patient and professional. Their service and attitude impressed us a lot and that would be the reason for staying at this hotel upon our next visit to Furano.
We were a group of 6 and staying at 3-bedroom suite was incredibly nice and comfortable. We had certain privacy by having 3 rooms in the suite and we could also gather in the dining area. Kitchen is fully equipped. Rooms are tidy and neat with amenities. Beds are very comfy and the whole environment was very quiet, so we slept very well. There is also a cafe downstairs.
We travelled by car, so quite easy to get to the hotel and there is hotel carpark. If no car, reaching the hotel would be a bit challenging.
Overall, we loved and enjoyed a lot our stay in the hotel.

This air bnb-style apartment is simple and clean. Although the place is small, it is comfortable and cheaper than the new apartment hotel nearby. The location is actually quite good. Open the door and you will find the ski trail, which is very suitable for friends who love skiing. When we came to Furano in summer, we did not ski or take a car, but there is a bus stop outside the accommodation, from which we can take a bus to Nakafurano and Upper Furano to see lavender, which is very convenient. We go out by bus at 10:49 every day, and return to the hotel at 20:06 in the evening. You can buy wagyu, bread, etc. in the supermarket near the scenic spot and cook for yourself in the apartment, which is very convenient!

Outstanding
GGuest UserVery satisfactory accommodation! On the first night, I couldn't find a place to stay in Asahikawa, so I decided to take a bus from Platform 9 in front of Asahikawa Station to Furano. Nozo Hotel is right next to the Furano Natuwade Hotel Station. After walking on the dark road for two hours at 9:00 pm, I saw Nozo Hotel and it was like seeing the lights of home. The accommodation was also far beyond expectations. The hotel is very new. The front desk clerks and waitresses have good English expression, are warm and friendly, and the dinner is similar to breakfast, but it is also the children's favorite breakfast and dinner. It is simple and high-quality. The sushi for dinner is fresh and delicious, and I was full. It is very close to attractions such as Fukuda Farm and the Fairy Window of Furano Prince Hotel, and the taxi is less than 2,000 yen. On the third day, I took the bus in front of the door to return to Asahikawa and go to Asahikawa Zoo. The front desk clerk gave me the bus schedule and patiently pointed the way. It was very nice.
WwideeyesHostel is comfortable and clean. Sufficient amenities. Location is okay. Enjoyed the stay there for such a low price. Not recommended for light sleepers as there will definitely be someone snoring in the mixed bunk.
CChi YuNeat and tidy room with friendly staffs but the location is a bit far away from the station, better come here by car. We both love the lounge so much, cozy and chill. We would love to visit again when travelling to Hokkaido.
คคนสวยมาแล้วจ้าHotel is clean and nice. Locate nearby Furano JR station and convenience stores. Outdoor onsen is superb! If you go to this hotel, don’t missed it! They’re a lot of amenities and ice cream, yogurt, massage chairs and ramen for all guests. They’re also have private onsen 3 rooms for hotel guests.
However, there are many of visitors who are not comply with rules of public bath and violated some rules ie. throw snow during bath or playing phone in dressing room.
VVaganovaGreat location and service, couldn’t fault that. Helpful staff and literally across the road from the gondola. Great inclusions like afternoon tea with desert bar with nice selection of tasty deserts, ice cream and drinks in the evenings. Breakfast could be improved, great for those that like seafood, but not so great for more western food options. I am sure even in winter there are apples, bananas and other options rather than frozen fruits and pastry that comes in packages that lasts a few weeks or at least that is how pastry tasted. One of the kids only eats toast and eggs or pastry and milk for breakfast and couldn’t find anything to eat there. But my husband loved the buffet. Rooms are pretty outdated, so be mindful. Bathrooms haven’t had anything done to them since probably 80-90th, but it was clean and public bath was good. Restaurant was booked out for dinners for a week in advance (at least) when we checked in but it seemed like there is only one seating in general for dinner.
XXander WangThe hotel is very very well situated right at the foot of the ski resort pistes. Ski in ski out (if there is enough snow). It is however quite dated in its design and the rooms come with only the basic essential facilities (by no means luxurious). It is clean and well maintained though. Service wise, check in took some time even in low season. Not all staff understand english, even those at front desk. The restaurants and breakfast is good. Very wide selection. We also enjoyed the onsen, however it would have been better with the view of nature. Ningle Terrace is beautiful at night in the winter season! All in all a good trip. The convenience and food makes up for everything.
GGuest UserInside, it feels like a forest cabin
The boss is very enthusiastic. Although he can't speak Chinese, there are staff who can speak English to introduce the facilities. The boss lives in the next room. After checking out, he just packs up his luggage and knocks on his door to see if anything is missing.
fully equipped
JR took the bus and got off the bus and walked a few hundred meters.
Bathroom is a bit small
When you live in the upper bunk, you should pay attention to the head when you get confused.
Overall, I feel that the various decoration details are very delicate
Very happy and enjoy the stay
CCharlingStayed for 2 days, and we do not require the room cleaning service for the next day.
On the 2nd day, after a long day of wonderful sightseeing and visiting beautiful fruits farm, my husband was tired and looking for a cup of coffee when back to the hote to rest.
As he had driven for the whole day, it was definitely a cup of drip coffee that would be a good booster for him.
I'm very surprised that when I asked for a packet of coffee at the front desk, the receptionist told me the drip coffee was out of stock.
Thought out my 30 years of tourism. This was my first time experiencing that the hotel room's coffee supply is out of stock. And I can't believe it happened in Japan.
AAnonymous UserThe room was pretty nice and spacious, but it didn’t quite justify the price. I expected more given the cost. One notable downside is that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator.
Additionally, I found it perplexing that the smoking area is located on the second floor, in a passageway that non-smoking guests also need to use. It’s open-air with only a curtain separating it.
EEng Teck TanCant find my fault with the hotel. Service was good except the language part but they were helpful in most things you ask. Only the shuttle bus driver seem a bit impatient but overall good... Facilities are good as well... Room is a decent size compared to many other hotels that we have been to in Japan. Able to handle the whole family and still has space for 4 luggages.... The hotel even has an onsen which is great in winter..... Hotel breakfast is good although the whole 5 days we were there, there is no change in the menu at all but enough variety to last us for a few days - western, japanese etc.... Amenities are also good in the hotel.... Responsive concierge and housekeeping
