Very nice hotel, very good people, modern facilities,

This is my first time coming to the hotel and visited for a coffee, the hotel is great and peaceful I went to Ceylon Bake Shop for snack and the it was displayed nicely and clearly to the guests and the Staff at CBS was really good the service given to me by Miss Saajika was really nice. Will visit soon.

A good selection is available at breakfast with a number of 'action stations' where your choices are made fresh for you. This was great because things like pittu made fresh is a whole lot nicer than if it has been left out to dry. Service was very good but was surprised/disappointed that the cashier had no understanding of Marriott Bonvoy membership and claimed there was no way to add points or record the visit. Rather disappointing as it was a Rs 18k meal.

CBS Bake Shop Walked in to a cosy coffee shop today at sheraton, high quality pastries and decent selection of drinks. Barista Divani made us a nice beverage called "dirty Chai" a blend of tea and coffee. Great service, loved the drink. ☕️🥧🧁 P.s valet parking available

Last afternoon at the Ceylon Bake Shop of the Colombo Sheraton - we were warmly greeted by two friendly and efficient young ladies - Divani and Rajitha....their attitude and service deserve special mention...best wishes to Divani, Rajitha and the brand new Colombo Sheraton💐

I am a Marriott Bonvoy status member, so I received benefits during my stay. I actually moved to this hotel after having some room issues at the Colombo Courtyard Hotel; see my review of that hotel. I stayed three wonderful nights at the Colombo Sheraton, as a solo tourist. The hotel is located within easy reach of most of Colombo's tourist sights, via inexpensive tuk-tuks that I arranged through Uber. I was told the Sheraton opened in December 2023, so inside out, the property is very well-appointed and clean. It's a beautiful property. Staff service was excellent, period, and not oppressive. Ditto for the service provided by the the staff in the Club Lounge (Lounge). The Lounge is located on the 21st floor. Although breakfast was served in the main restaurant, afternoon/evening lite bites/drinks, including afternoon tea services, were offered in the Lounge. Food in the Lounge was tasty and varied each day. The breakfast buffet was plentiful in the main restaurant, and it catered to various tastes. It even had a "hopper" station, which I was told is a Sri Lanka egg dish-see photo. I also visited the lobby bar two nights, and the service was great. They even had a small live band and singer one night. My request for a corner room was granted (room #2028). What a fabulous room and large bathroom, with respect to design, furnishings, noise (none!), linens, and views. The separate shower stall had great water pressure, and the water was hot. I did have a chance to see a non-corner king room, and it was just as nice as my room. The hotel maintains an excellent, large gym (see photos), which is well-equiped. It allowed me to get a full-body workout. The gym attendant was also very nice and helpful. By the way, Sri Lanka is a beautiful country, as it's modern, clean, calm, and safe. The people are also very nice.

Although the hotel is brand new and beautiful, the pool setup was a bit odd. There was only space for a handful of lounge beds, accompanied by just two umbrellas. This made it a bit of a gamble to head to the pool hoping for shade. Additionally, the pool bar area was not operational resulting in a lengthy 40-minute wait for drinks. On a positive note, the breakfast buffet offered an extensive variety of options, all beautifully presented.

The Sheraton Colombo although not on the main sea facing street of Colombo manages to effectively provide a good option for travellers to Sri Lanka. The staff were efficient and the breakfast spread varied. The spa was outstanding and the masseurs did their job well. A cooking class specially for us was arranged well and interactive. All services to the room were provided for without any issues. With the tourist traffic returning to Colombo the Sheraton stands as a travellers choice for sure.

A little late though I want to thank Amila Rajapaksa for ensuring our stay was memorable. Loved the property, the elaborate breakfast buffet and the view from my room. The suite was huge and comfortable. The in room dining services were impeccable. Loved being there and if I am visiting again I am surely staying here.
