Hotel Astoria, BW Signature Collection

Copenhagen|0.13km from The Food Cooperative
The historic Best Western Hotel Astoria, shaped like a giant locomotive, sits catty-corner from Copenhagen Central Station. In my room, I could hear the trains rumbling every now and then, but it didn't bother me. The location is perfect for exploring pretty much all of Copenhagen on foot and for catching a train to Malmö or to the airport. When I checked in, I was treated like a movie star, apparently due to my membership in the Best Western Rewards program. I got a free upgrade to a superior room, though I'm not sure how superior it was. It was a corner room with a narrow balconet that had a partial view of the station building. (Unfortunately, the people who live at the station seem to use the bicycle racks below as a toilet, so for the first few days there was a stench of urine whenever I opened the French door, until the rain must have washed it away.) What else made the room superior, I know not. I understand the real superior rooms are on the top floor, each with its own terrace. Anyway, as it was free, I cannot complain. In the room, I was greeted by a handwritten welcome note (wow!) and a free bag of M&M's. The room was clean and had two single beds pushed together in lieu of a king bed, a giant TV, a desk with two chairs, and an armoire with a hairdryer and a dead safe in it. There was no telephone, though the jack was still there. I didn't need one anyway, as I had my own phone. The small bathroom had a bathtub in addition to sink and toilet. There were two hand and two bath towels each, plus dispensers with liquid soap, shower gel, and shampoo. Someone had left the in-room safe locked, so it was useless to me. Though I reported the problem immediately, it wasn't solved during my stay. However, I received a complimentary late check out for the trouble. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. WiFi was free and worked flawlessly. After check out, you can store your baggage for free.

Hotel Tiffany

The standard double room booked is upgraded to a comfortable double room for free, the room is large and the sanitary conditions are good Maybe because the room is in the top corner, the wifi signal is not very good. After reporting to the waiter, I have been actively solving and asking for feedback, and are willing to change the room for us. Although they have tried hard, the signal is still not good, but they can accept it. , Praise their service attitude. Breakfast is delivered to the door of the room, and a newspaper is also provided, which is very considerate, and the breakfast will change a little every day. The hotel is very close to the central station and travel is very convenient.
Nimb Hotel

This hotel is highly recommended. Whether it is from the location of the hotel, quality of service, infrastructure, it is perfect! My mom heard that Ctrip can write reviews, so let me write a good comment. The breakfast is quite rich and picturesque. The room is large, there are a lot of compartments, and the hotel is also quite thoughtful. Only you can't think of it, without them being prepared, I think I should be able to satisfy all kinds of discerning guests. In the winter, you can also have a fireplace. It’s really burning wood. My mom's favorite is the garden next to the hotel. It is free to enter the hotel. It is really super beautiful, all kinds of flowers, various amusement facilities, various restaurants, my mom has to go shopping every night. The hotel is in the center of the city, the traffic is very convenient, just buy something to walk, no need to take a taxi, what brand can be found around it. Maybe its appearance is not so conspicuous, but walking into the hotel will really shock you. I am also a very picky person, this hotel really makes me quite satisfied, strong Amway, very worthy of its price, do not hesitate.
Villa Copenhagen

The location, decor and vibe of this hotel are perfect. The laid back atrium environment is a nice place to hang out. The staff are professional and helpful at all times. The rooms - we had 2 - are comfortable in that scandì way. Excellent bathroom. I thought that the breakfast pastries were superlative - outstanding. A great 2 night stay in Copenhagen. I will return for sure. One small thing: I loved their shoe horn and wish that I had taken it home with me! Unfortunately my conscience forbade me from doing so! Sadly they do not sell this simple excellent accessory.
The Square

We stayed in the Copenhagen Marriott the night before our cruise holiday, then booked the Square for one night post our cruise holiday to be closer to central station. We arrived at the hotel at 8:30am on 5th June, asked if could store our luggages as we knew the check in time was 3pm. The lady at reception checked the system, offered an upgrade to a better room that was available for a reasonable fee, so we took the offer. The room size was no comparison to Marriott, so was the view but with nearly £100 cheaper in price, Metro station across road, everything we needed, we were not complaining. The bed was comfortable, room was clean, with mini fridge, snacks and drinks, steam iron, safe, foldable luggage rack, charging station provided. Bathroom was modern with everything we needed and more (hand cream, shoe care and vanity kit). The breakfast was tasty with good selection, we liked IPad operated juices and coffee station, all the modern styled serving dishes. We plan to visit Copenhagen again, will definitely stay in the Square hotel instead of Marriott as we believe it’s great value for the money.
Scandic Copenhagen

Scandic Copenhagen is certainly at the top of the quality you can expect from a hotel. If you are looking for details/nice-to-have: The reception could have been a little more engaged when we had questions. Minibar/fridge in the room would be nice. Poor options for connecting your own media to the TV. Missed the standard fried egg at breakfast. This is details which a lot of hotels don't have, so we didn't expect it. Cleaning must be ordered at reception, which I think is a nice solution - but I would prefered a more digital solution. If we had stayed longer, I would be nice to ”order” towels or laundry/pick up in the hallway.
Go Hotel Ansgar

Having tootled across Denmark for 10 days, I became something of an expert at navigating best value hotels... this one wins hands down. Like, by a country mile! Despite being in a kinda scuzzy neighbourhood, which for some reason is where most cities' primary train stations seem to be located (hotel is about 3mins walk from Copenhagen Central - best to exit station at rear) this place comes with NONE of the slapdash, take-it-or-leave-it, mouldy, threadbare, thin-walled, stinky vibes that one usually finds in hotels in such hoods. The place is spotless...bathroom was immaculate (no tiny little latherless green soaps here, but rather Oriental Lavender bodywashes, if you don't mind!)...the room itself: modern, relatively spacious, hard floors with that ”Scandinavian” Ikea-esque furniture and bedding. Bedside chargers. Cool TVs that let you mirror your phone as Boris Johnson finally resigned. Small fridge. Aircon. Nice towels. ”New-feeling” crisp bedding. And perhaps the best thing, was the overall friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They genuinely seem to all take pride in how they run the operation. You can get laundry done at their nearby sister hotel The Saga (where staff were also really nice). Anyway... enough blathering...I normally only write reviews on here when I'm pissed off with something. It was nice to write some positivity for a change. If it's available at a good rate (and the prices were good) you don't need to look anywhere else. S
