Very clean, extremely friendly, food was great and a great variety. Everyone said hello and conversed daily We stayed 7 nights and will be returning next year. Entertainment most nights was good Welcome drinks left in fridge and wine on the table

We are on our last day and can honestly say this hotel is fabulous. From our first day we have both enjoyed everything about it. 5* for cleanliness everywhere. 5* for the food and if people complain they have the problem as the food is lovely and plentiful. 5* for the amazing animation team who work so hard to entertain guests throughout the day. We received a call from reception on our first day asking if everything was ok which was a nice touch and were given a nice welcome letter. No fighting for sun loungers. There is nothing we can fault at all about this hotel and it's lovely staff. A special mention for the waiter Frances who was so funny and a pleasure to be served by. Your whole team are amazing and friendly at all times. We will definitely return. Thankyou so much for a great week with great memories.

Lovely grounds, very impressed by the condition of the pool areas and it's lovely and green. Overall the fuss has been excellent, the odd warm dish but very tasty and well prepared with a good variety. We didn't bother with the a la carte, buffet was great. Staff all excellent, serve your drinks quickly. The odd tip helps. My only gripe is the basketball court in the middle of the pools meaning you have to listen to loud bouncy balls all day. But if you want quiet upgrade. Easy walk for the able bodied into town along the beach. Get to sunset lounge for 430pm for the live bands. Would return.

This was our first stay at this hotel, we booked a suite in the My Favourite Club direct with hotel.The first room we were given was lovely inside but it was in the furthest away corner from reception etc and the grounds around it weren't kept too well and it was quite dark going down small paths to get to it. So eventually next day at 4pm we got moved,paid €25 extra for cleaning, got to the room and it hadn't been cleaned at all. Went back to reception spoke to a lovely receptionist named Louisa and she sorted us out with a lovely suite with balcony overlooking the my favourite Club area and she refunded the €25 to us. Louisa was lovely,helpful and friendly as were all the staff apart from that first receptionist but there's always one! We mostly ate at the main restaurant as there was more choice,the food wasn't the best,but we didn't go hungry. The drinks were good,cava was lovely. The hotel and rooms were kept very clean and the housekeeping staff very hard working,some of the grounds need to be kept better though. The entertainment was good a couple of nights but otherwise not great. Its not too far to go into town or go across to the beach bar just across the road. The walk to beach and into town during day was lovely and we enjoyed the market too. Overall we enjoyed our week here,we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the My Favourite Club as we usually stay in adult only hotels. We would stay here again if we got a good deal.

The hotel is very big and despite being busy there are plenty of pools and loungers by each pool, checking in is very fast and efficient then you have a reasonably short walk to your apar**ent which were spacious and cleaned every day. The grounds of the hotel are clean and well looked after. Food was excellent with enough choice to satisfy, I particularly loved the lunchtime BBQ which was delicious, some guests have complained on here about cold food but I never experienced this on my ten day stay. Alcoholic drinks are not very strong so are local varieties, if you want branded drinks then you would need to add these onto your bill, there is plenty wine and san miquel on tap! Location of the hotel is about a 10/15 minute walk however if you want a taxi you can order one at reception this will cost about 4/5 euros each way, coming back you can pick up a taxi from the rank in the centre. The hotel is only a 4 minute walk from the beach area, it’s a stunning view and there are some beach bars there that can cater for anyone. The weather was amazing with blue skies everyday and temperatures in the high 20’s. Lastly all staff are very friendly and helpful and will do anything for you, I would definitely recommend this hotel and now have visited twice in the past year.

The hotel itself is pretty and the junior suite was really nice. Having lots of smaller pools was lovely and early season it was relaxing as now fighting to get a sunbed or really queue too much for dinner. However everything else was average. The food was nice for the first few days then you it’s the same same same. None of the staff were that friendly especially the concierge. The animation team were nice and there was one lovely male waiter but there is no real service from the staff which I would expect for a 4 arr hotel. It’s more of a 3-3.5 star hotel as the nice little touches we’ve had on previous 4 star family holidays were a lot better to be honest. It was my birthday during the stay and they gave me a cocktail voucher even though I was a) pregnant and b) all inclusive and the drinks are free so not sure of the point of that to be honest. Also the beach is not usable it’s close but no sun beds or anything so other than visiting for a walk it’s not much use.

Don’t feel it was worth the money. The suite was big within itself and the bed was amazing, furniture was all bashed up with some holes, wall paper peeling, mouldy silicone in the shower. WiFi only worked in the bathroom. Arrived at 11pm when the jet 2 bus dropped us off, no mention of food or snacks - we had upgraded to the my favourite club. Check in was so rushed never got the my favourite club explained to us properly what this entitled us too. Lunch/dinner was ok not the best not the worst. Seemed to be no snacks/ sandwiches during the day once lunch ended - we actually ended up going & buying pot noodles. Cocktails were very very weak and tasted more like juice . Grounds were lovely and well maintained. We were told our cards to access areas would work until 6pm the day of check out as that’s when we were getting picked up. They stopped working at 12 once we checked out & we had to end up jumping a wall to get out the my favourite area . No showers/changing facitilies bar toilets for you to change in or freshen up on your last day. It was a nice enough area wee bit of a walk into town. Only seen a few cockroaches .

A great weeks stay at Alua, couldn't fault anything, greeted warmly on arrival and given directions to our suite which was lovely with a separate bedroom, cleaned each day. The grounds of the complex are fantastic and well maintained by the garden and pool teams. Enjoyed every meal, plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner (I put on 7lb lol) No problem getting sunbeds at any time of the day and enjoyed the evening entertainment. Some queues at the bar in the evening but soon got served by the efficient and friendly bar staff. Made friends with the resident black cat who was always there every time we left or returned to our suite. A good location with easy walks to the nearby Campanario shopping centre and market or about 20 minutes to the main ***** and harbour either on the road or along the beach path All in all a great holiday and definitely recommend.
