Paradisus by Meliá Salinas Lanzarote – All Inclusive – Adults Only

Fantastic hotel with lovely staff and excellent food. Drinks are all branded and very good quality. All the restaurants are very good and we had no issues booking them via the app that we downloaded before we got there. The entertainment in the evening and classes in the day were all very well run and of a very high standard - shout out to Ramon who was always involved in organising and greeting guests. Hotel is in a great location on the beach but also well located to visit other attractions on the island. Pool a bit cold but that’s the time of year we visited. Overall excellent holiday at an excellent hotel.

This hotel is amazing. The architecture. The friendly attentive service. The well appointed rooms. The pool. The food. We were so impressed & will return. In the rooms you'll find the most comfortable beds, good aircon, luxurious bed linen and towels. Lovely shower & nice products. Quality toilet paper. Muted stylish colour palettes. A turn-down service. The pool area is gorgeous. Spacious. Nice loungers (dry fast, easy to move, comfortable to lie on). Well kept plants. Pool itself is cold but lovely once you're in. And there's a super gym with lots of varied equipment. Nearly is a shop. And just outside the hotel a handful of bars & restaurants - the Indian Namaste is brilliant.  And Portobello Italian. Neither expensive and both "London standards" (always my barometer) Food & drink offering is truly fabulous. We enjoyed light rosé at lunch & spicy rioja at dinner - plus cocktails through the day, and a restocked minibar.  Such variety at the main restaurant for breakfast lunch & dinner - fresh food done well (but a bit more seasoning wouldn't go amiss). More signage is needed (so vegetarians know what they're eating - salads must go untouched as nobody knows what's in them). I've seen lots of reviews about food running out, but we didn't see that at all - it seemed like a slick effective operation. We tried the Middle Eastern restaurant too. These other venues need booking 48hrs before, so I set my alarm for midnight to be sure we weren't disappointed. The middle eastern food was pleasant enough but there were no nuts in the mahammara, no tahini or garlic in the babbaghanoush and no mint, parsley or lemon in the fattoush... so not very authentic sadly - and these things would be so easy to amend. (Oh - and one last thing. Please can someone take the lovely ginger cats to the vet? Poor things all have fleas / mange and need some love!)

We loved our stay at Paradisus and would highly recommend. From the most friendliest welcome we’ve ever had from concierge and the team at preferred reception to the beautiful grounds and our lovely room, we felt instantly relaxed. Special thanks to Ramon and all the entertainment team for being so friendly and welcoming and providing high quality daily classes, we really enjoyed taking part in them. The food was lovely, we visited all the different restaurants, it was easy to book them using the Meliá app. Our favourite for evening meals was Samira, La Graciosa for lunch and we enjoyed having breakfast at the preferred area. The service was fantastic. The DJ at the beach bar was great and we went to the evening entertainment a few times which was good quality too. The pools are stunning and a good size, we always easily found a sun bed. There was a lovely sheltered beach right outside the hotel and larger beaches within walking distance along the promenade, which you can walk along for miles. All staff at the hotel was so friendly and our room was kept spotlessly clean by the lovely housekeeping staff and the mini bar was topped up every day. We will definitely return for another stay at this hotel.

I cannot believe that anyone could write anything bad about this hotel…we had the most wonderful holiday - the selection of food was endless - cocktails / premium brand drinks / soft drinks provided all with a smile from the friendly staff The rooms are clean and comfortable lots of towels and toiletries and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! The sunshine let us down a little but all in all ⭐️ Thank you

From start to finish, everything about this hotel, our stay and the people was perfect! Me and my best friend went for 5 nights and wish we stayed longer. The hotel was absolutely stunning, so clean and well maintained. Our room was big, comfortable and well equipped, providing us with robes and slippers too was a lovely touch. The bed was the comfiest I’ve ever slept on and the free mini bar which was restocked twice a day was also a lovely bonus! The food choice was impeccable, breakfast and lunch in the main buffet was my favourite, dinner was okay… but, if you didn’t fancy what was in the main buffet you also have the choice of booking one of the 4 restaurants on site, as well as the Shack and Ginger bar menus, both offering incredible meals whenever you want! Our favourite place to relax was the Beach Bar called Alula. Right next to the beach, with sand on the floor, a small pool to cool off with waterfall and daily live music and cocktails on demand - what more could you ask for?! The staff were absolutely incredible. They couldn’t do enough to make sure you were looked after and happy. They were all so polite and nothing was too much trouble. Ramon, Oscar and Armando in particular were lovely and always made the effort to say hello when they saw us, look after us, and kept the drinks and good times flowing. This was our first experience with a Melia resort, and it definitely won’t be our last. We’re already planning on returning next year and making it a yearly trip to Paradisus as we fell in love with everything it has to offer. The location, the staff, the accommodation, selection of premium drinks, food, facilities - all exceptional and anyone who goes will not be disappointed! Thank you for the best holiday. This hotel could not be faulted. It was always spotlessly clean. The food was amazing in choice and quality, both in the buffet and the al la carte restaurants. The drinks were all premium brands. The friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever known. The rooms were wonderful, the most comfortable bed and the pillows were just perfect. The bathroom products were excellent and plentiful. Excellent hairdryer and an amazing clothes steamer. Very good evening entertainment, gentle live music during breakfast. Our favourite place was the beach bar, the saxophonist who played there during late afternoon, early evening was amazing. One suggestion I would make is for better labelling of the food in the buffet particularly if the food contained nuts. Definitely a hotel worthy of its five stars.

Wow! What can I say. What an amazing hotel. Lovely food, speciality restaurants but most importantly the staff. So welcoming and friendly. Big shout out to Ramon and his team. Armando, Aelia, Laura and Eddie to name a few. They kept us entertained every day, from aqua yoga to Pilates. Greta fun!! What a team, hope they get the recognition they deserve. See u next year !!!

The hotel is beautiful. Really clean, lovely pool area, rooms are small but have everything you need A couple of issues though. 1- the food... raw chicken served at the buffet...and when we pointed out to staff, no one cared, told 2 people and they genuinely didn't care! 2- adaptatabiliy, met a lovely couple on holiday..2 reservations for same restaurant 1 at 7pm 2nd at 7.30 pm. We asked if they could seat us together...they said no...it was an empty restaurant. No flexibility at all. We were sat opposite sides of an empty restaurant! Lovely hotel, but needs to be open to changing needs.

I did the aqua gym at the pool today. Sandra was the instructor. She was excellent. I am a bit older and a bit unfit so she checked regularly that I was comfortable and was enjoying the experience. I will be doing it again as the week goes on. The food so far has been excellent so I will definitely need the Aquum each day!
