We had an excellent experience with Mountain Heavens. Size of the rooms huge. Clean and friendly staff. Mithun who served breakfast was a great guy with friendly service.

Walking into the hotel gave a fantastic view of Ella Gap right in front of you. We had a wonderful room with the same view. Great staff and good food. Road uo to hotel is a steep single track. We walked down into Ella and got a tuk tuk back. A special place to stay.

The location is truly spectacular. The rooms are spacious, comfortable with an outside terrace to admire the views. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is quiet and peaceful but close to town albeit up a very steep road with few passing places so a fun challenge for our driver!

Friendly staff, comfortable room, gorgeous views from the whole property. Enjoyable food and drinks and the Sri Lankan breakfast is great. Convenient location - a short walk down to Ella township makes this an ideal place to base your stay be in Ella.

Wonderful views and large comfortable rooms that take full advantage of the views. Road Access to the hotel is difficult. If you have any sort of difficulty with stairs this is not the place to stay. We had eighty steps to navigate to get to our room. Buddika at reception was helpful and did his best to accommodate our needs.The staff were excellent.

Everything about this hotel made us go "wow"! Not just the absolutely fantastic view over the valley below, but also the super large room with very comfy bed, enormous balcony with seating and small table, and fabulous food (breakfast and evening meals) with great service in the restaurant. As others have mentioned, the hotel is up a very steep, long and meandering, hill which we chose not to walk but tuk tuks are cheap and easily 'fly' up and down for access to the main street in Ella. If there is a slight ******, it is that the shower/wet-room floor can get very slippery when using the shower... and I managed to walk straight into one of the glass doors that are (normally) open to the patio! So just take heed...

The View from this hotel sells it, its FABULOUS and the food is good too. Rooms were clean and a good size, we found the bed comfortable however each time one of us turned over in the night it sounded like it was going to collapse! Overall a great place to stay especially for that wonderful view.

The Mountain Heavens provide a splendid view on the Ella Gap. The view is stunning. To get the magnificent view you need to request for the rooms with the best view on Ella gap. The food they provided was also very enjoyable. The cooking is great with a 5 course meal.

An exceptional stay with a breath talking view from the rooms. The food is exceptional. And the other services are very good. The Ella gap can be seen very clearly. You can eat at the restaurant blending with the outside environment. Rooms are exceptionally cosy.
