We got married at Fowey Hall Hotel this weekend , we have spent just short of a week in the hotel . The hotel itself is a magnificent building set in amazing grounds with a perfect view of Fowey town and the sea. The internal decoration is classic yet contemporary, it made us feel like the hotel is like a home away from home. Planning a wedding is stressful and bring a weeks worth of belonging for a family of 5 plus all required for a wedding could have been stressful but it wasn’t as the staff at Fowey Hall were attentive , helpful and genuinely seemed to care that our event went to plan. We stayed pre wedding day in the Rosalind suite with our teen children, the room is bright airy and spacious with the most comfortable queen size bed all with great views of the sea. For our wedding we stayed in the Charles Hanson suite with the dressing room . Equally as delightful. Breakfast each morning was tasty and plentiful. Our wedding day went without a glitch , we used the spa for massage and beauty treatments , our family dog was care for by the staff, All our plans that we made prior were executed as needed by the staff with upmost of care. Following our ceremony guests were served various canopies and welcome drinks by the attentive staff whilst the staff were preparing for the wedding breakfast. Catering for 100 sit down guests was a breeze for the kitchen, each table was served piping hot food to an amazing standard. A mixture of lamb or chicken for guests all perfectly executed. Our suppliers were looked after by the hotel As we had exclusive use of the hotel each one of our guests stayed there too. Each and every person only had positive words to express about their experience of Fowey Hall. We thank all of the team and got to meet and talk to most of the front of house team. They all were brilliant as I’m sure the guys behind the scenes are too. Special mention to the ones we were fortunate enough to engage with. Ellie Lauren Laura Charlie ( a delightful young man ) Kelly George Dianne Elsie Steph James Jess in the spa Sophie in the spa Plus all the others 5 star staff giving 5 star service

Very family-friendly hotel and the service was brilliant. A huge thank you to Michelle and Debbie in the Den for being so fantastic with our 4 year old and 2 year old during their Den Session; nothing was too much trouble and the girls absolutely loved every part! They went out of their way to make sure the girls got to feed rabbits and set up biscuit decorating. My daughter said it was “the best day of her life” - thank you so much for being so great with them!

We've had a wonderful 2 night stay at Fowey Hall. The hotel was beautiful, the facilities were great. The outside of the hotel, the views and the grounds were stunning. There was so much to do. We liked the games in the lobby and we managed to get a nice swim in the pool. It was nice and warm and not busy at all on Saturday evening. We also liked the playground for the kids and had a nice walk in the area. All the staff were very welcoming and lovely to all of us. We're celebrating mine and my son's birthday and at the dinner, he got surprised with a cake and Happy Birthday writing on the plate. It was so kind and made him very happy(along with his Sundae). The food in the restaurant and the breakfast were very good. Very nice choice of breakfast to order and buffet style cereals, pastries, yoghurts, etc, were available too. The room was so lovely. We loved the freestanding bath. The room, particularly the bed, was very comfy. We've had everything we needed. The coffee and tea making facilities, the shortbread biscuits and the robes were a nice touch. We've had a free upgrade to a partial view room, we really appreciate the lovely gesture. The kids asked if we can live here and said this was the best hotel ever. We'd definitely return. Such a lovely place to stay. Thank you for having us and for everything.

We visited Fowey Hall for 3 nights, it was our first holiday with our 4 month old, and it was just amazing! The staff are amazing, so friendly and welcoming...nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is beautiful, the decor is just perfect! They provide everything you could need when holidaying with little ones...nappy bins, changing mat, baby bath, travel cot etc. They provide a bottle sterilising service which was so helpful! While we didn't leave our little one, we saw lots of others taking advantage of the baby monitor service so they could enjoy an adult dinner. The breakfast was so good, so much choice! We took our daughter in the pool which she loved! Just the best family friendly break, and wonderful memories made forever! We'll definitely be back!

The positives about this hotel are its location and views. That’s about it! It is not a ‘luxury’ hotel and it does not deliver luxury service at all. The biggest issue we had was that restaurant staff were not trained with allergies. We had around three different waiters/waitresses for pretty much every meal/snack we had and none of them relayed our dietary information on correctly. On the second day we tried to order the scones we ordered the day before and were told they were not made in house and they could not guarantee they were suitable for my son who is a severe nut allergy. Even though the day before we were assured the complete opposite, we were told the chef said they are made at the hotel and perfectly safe for my son. Luckily my son was ok but we were obviously furious that we were given the incorrect information and that he was put at risk. Do not stay here if you have allergies! The hotel was short staffed throughout, we had to queue at reception to check in, check out and for any query we had throughout our day. The service was friendly but very slow and lots of mistakes were made at the restaurant due to poor communication between staff. We were refunded one of our night’s stay as an apology about the allergies which I thought was the right thing to do. It didn’t make up for putting our son at risk and we wouldn’t stay there again. Allergies aside, it is not a luxury hotel, more like a mediocre 4 star hotel with 2star spa facilities. The swimming pool is awful, my son (who lives swimming) didn’t even want to go in. I don’t think we were the only guests who thought hat as it was empty when we went even though it was a rainy day with not much else to do. The spa/swimming pool look like they belong in a run down leisure centre.

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel this weekend. The reception and house keeping staff were excellent and were very quick to bring any requested items to the room and gave us a complimentary room upgrade without us asking, which was a nice touch. So thank you for that. The room was lovely; large, clean, spacious, a comfy super-king bed and massive roll top bath. Keeping things balanced, and we did mention this out check out, the spa was a little disappointing. The indoor pool was too cold to get in (except for a big toe) and there was no sauna/steam/jacuzzi facilities. But we enjoyed relaxing in the relaxation space. Breakie was good, and the supplementary dog charge was knocked off our bill as breakfast took a while to come out, but we were happy to sit in warm comfortable surroundings and have a relaxed start to the day, so that wasn’t a problem. In conclusion, the staff here are well trained and we left saying what a pleasure it was to stay somewhere with attentive staff. I’d probably say crank up the pool temp a couple of degrees C and if funds allow in the future, stick a hot tub in somewhere. You can never go wrong with a hot tub.

A perfect stay. The hotel, staff, room, grounds, food - all were simply excellent. It was a wonderful 5 night stay from Monday through to Saturday for myself, my wife and our 9 month old baby and such an enjoyable first family holiday for us. The hotel is so well geared up for families, it took all the stress out and meant we didn't need to travel with all the usual baby 'clobber'. The staff in particular were so friendly and welcoming and helpful, from the moment we arrived - from front of house, to waiters, the cleaners, the Bears Den and the spa receptionist. Everyone took the time to smile and chat. We were made to feel very looked after and even received a complimentary room upgrade. It was a really lovely unexpected surprise which topped things off. The food in the restaurant each evening and morning for breakfast was delicious and the waiting staff were so attentive and friendly. Top service. The hotel felt so luxurious, but also homely and we were so comfortable throughout our stay. The Bears Den staff put us at ease when we left our 9 month old daughter to be looked after and we knew she was going to be looked after properly by friendly, caring, professional staff. Well done to the hotel and staff and thank you. We hope to come back again one day soon. Probably our best hotel stay experience ever.

Stayed in Edward Bourne room 16th Jan 24 to allow for our Coast Path walk (we are on our way to completion the entire South West section). From start to end my wife and I have never experienced such excellence from a hotel. Food and service impeccable. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Spotlessly clean hotel and room decorated and furnished to a high standard. Simply can not recommend highly enough. Will be going back soon!
