The hotel is such a gem. Very clean and well refurbished. The check-in and check-out procedures are simple and room rate inclusive of complimentary breakfast, the breakfast taste good and got many options. Really enjoyed staying here, as the location is strategic too. However, there is one karaoke place at the opposite, noises can be heard.

Room is clean, quiet and comfy. Location is just adjacent to the New Lane night street foods, also is within 15 min walk to komtar/mall/Chowrasta Market. Other than that, one will need to take buses to reach major tourist attractions.

Really very good experience here l, been to Penang so many times and this is one of the best experiences i ever had. All the staff is really friendly and nice they also offered us a cup of coffee when we arrive. Their coffee is always available at the front desk area! The hotel is very clean and there's even a pool and a 24hr gym. Perfect place to stay in Penang. Close to Cecil street market as well. Absolutely wonderful šš»

When I chose, I was worried about the taste of the newly opened hotel. I was entangled for a long time, but I liked it very much.
I like the design of the hotel very much, there is Nanyang style, and the staff's clothing is also matched with the overall design.
The service staff were very nice, the early flight arrived, and the welcome drink was very refreshing. You can stay at 12:00. The little brother at the front desk said that I only opened the day before I went to live, and I was the first guest of the day.
The room design is worthy of a new hotel, very reasonable, independent cloakroom and dressing table, bathtub and living room facing the sea view, very pleasant, is a hand-held hanging iron, no longer a bulky iron, I like it very much!
I was very entangled before that the Bincheng East Hotel was still Autograph. After going out to play, I passed by the East Hotel and felt that my choice was very wise! Because it was really noisy at night, it was very quiet compared to Autograph!
I was pleasantly surprised to receive a small gift from the hotel's turndown at night.
The disadvantage is that it has just opened, and it still has a bit of taste. It is estimated that it will be fine after a while. Then the smoke on the bed flashed, and the bad sleep may affect it. I also gave feedback to the front desk lady, and it is estimated that it will be solved.
Location of this hotel is very good. Gurney Paragon mall, Gurney Plaza, Coco Island and hawker foods are within walking distance. We like the night market which took us 8-10 mins walk from hotel. Also Penang Hill, George town art street, Penang Road Famous Laksa and Moh Teng Pheow Nyonya Koay are nearby. Cleanliness also good and staffs are friendly too. Recommend to stay here.
Nice location. 2 parking spaces given which is very good and nicely located near the elevator. Only complaint is the time waiting for the elevator. Too many guest/patrons probably. Worse during checkout time.
Other than that apartment was spacious and clean. Very happy with it.

The place is clean. They provide slippers, shampoo, shower gel, dish washing liquid, hand soap and washing detergent. The rooms are a bit cramped. There is a snack stalls that sell all snacks such as noodles, nasi lemak, kueh etc. Good for breakfast and snacks in between meals.
As we are on 36th, we have a good city view
Overall a nice place to stay in.

Outstanding
JJia Lin KalynTotally enjoyed our stay here! Our room is facing the sea and the bed is comfortable! It is just a stone throw away from the promenade where we can have a stroll there.
GGuest UserReception staff was friendly. We were able to check in early around 10.45am as the Deluxe Suite we booked for 4N was available. Requested late check out was also approved at 12 noon as our flight was late afternoon. View from the top was beautiful & the skybar level was accessible after 6.30pm. There was conplimentary shuttle bus for famous breakfast areas at 8.30am, 9.15am & 10am. We managed to prebook 2 slots for 1 day only to Chowrasta Market. The next day 8.30am time slot was full (12 seats only) so we took Grab instead. Not expensive at RM8 to Kimberly Street. Pillow selection-1 per guest is a nice touch. Had the memory foam pillow for a good night sleep. Some free local snacks from the hotel was a nice gesture. Location of fairly new hotel (year 2022) is excellent. 2 supermarkets nearby (Gama) - the side walk with pretty bougainvilleas is pleasant, Pacific Hypermart at Komtar. Nearby got Japanese restaurant along Magazine Road & also massage places too. Overall, a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. Only negative is noise from traffic so room facing is impt for light sleepers
TTripeonHad a good clean stay at Jen Hotel Penang Georgetown. Location of hotel is great within walking distance from newLane hawker Street and first avenue mall
SShing_ngPositive-
Location is great
Room is great, with tv and hair dryer
Staff is friendly
Washer and water supply is provided
Negative-
Shower and toilet are separate. One of the shower room was clogged for ladies. Water goes really slow. Need more care on cleanliness and maintenance for toilet.
2) if light sleeper might need to think twice before you book sleep box as the music from neighbour is around 11pm to 3am.
BboogeyjaneThe only good thing I have to say about this hotel is how helpful the concierge Mr Ganesan was. He recommended amazing places for us to visit, always stopped to chat with us and was very friendly. Everything else in this hotel was awful. Hotel was clean and new but pool was filthy.. full of leaves and twigs. Both my partner and I had eye infections from swimming. Front desk staff were all rotten with zero customer service skills. One lady told me my room extension request was confirmed on the day I checked in but the following shift insisted that they had no extension request and simply refused to do anything to help saying they were on full capacity until I escalated it to the higher management and then miraculously the room became available. Asked in room dining for cutlery 5 times before they sent it. Upon checkout, they tried to charge me for breakfast for 2 days which I did not even eat or ask for in the first place. Hotel is clean and new but front desk staff are the worst Iāve ever come across in all my years of traveling.
JJoLHooiVery Strategic location to have many access to a lot of places by walking distances.
Easy to get to anywhere as its located in the central of the Penang island, lots of good food and local hawkers can be easily access from the hotel location. have great view of the Komtar tower and the city of light, beautiful and stunning.
although its a refurbished building, but it has been very well kept and maintained. Maybe the facility floor of the swimming pool and the bar, might have rooms for improvement. The swimming pool looks very old, despite the taste of infinity pool, doesnt match the 4stars hotel standard, and the bar looks like a local bar with no proper standard.
We shall look into the standard of St Giles is other states or country.
WWee LoonStayed for four nights. They kindly granted me a complimentary room upgrade upon request from a superior room to a deluxe room at 20th floor which has a good sea view - thank you!
My room was new and housekeeping does a great job to keep impeccably clean. They provided free toiletries items like toothbrush, showcap, disposable slippers though I did not use all. There are two bottles of drinking water which are replenished everyday.
Parking is free and āadvancedā in the sense that it is automated through a car park lift system which you rarely see elsewhere in this country.
The lobby is at 20th floor, and there is a restaurant at the 21st floor. The swimming pool is at 22th floor with a gym on the same floor too.
Some issues that I encountered or would like to feedback:
1) the holder of the shower head was loose and caused the shower head to push up when water pressure was on and thus not showering the person, and when water was turned off, the shower head dropped to the floor when the water pressure was suddenly gone. Great that they rectified it upon feedback at the reception.
2) the drainage at the washroom basin was not draining well. The facility maintenance could do something about this to improve the experience.
3) I requested for a fruit cutter knife at the reception as I will need to cut some fruits but was rejected, quoting that they do not send cutleries, even though they have a cafe on one floor above, due to āhalalā concerns. My question is, then do they allow non Muslims to eat at their cafe since the non Muslims do not have eat all halal food? The reason given is amusing, for such an international hotel brand.
4) they could have done better with their cafe/restaurant with such a great view of the Georgetown - will be happy to see they put in more effort.
Nonetheless, I am happy with my stay. Great location, great room and value for money.
DDixon ThumI recently experienced a stay at Apple Hotel Penang, and it was a journey filled with both positives and drawbacks. Situated in the bustling heart of George Town, the hotel's location stands out as a significant advantage. It's within close proximity to key attractions like Penang Times Square, Rainbow Skywalk at Komtar, and 1st Avenue Penang, making exploration convenient and enjoyable.
The hotel offers free WiFi, but regrettably, the signal strength was notably weak during my visit. This may pose a challenge for guests relying heavily on a stable internet connection. Moreover, the availability of free parking, while a welcome feature, comes with a catchāit's extremely limited. Securing a spot can be a bit of a hassle, particularly during peak times.
In terms of accommodations, the rooms at Apple Hotel Penang provide basic amenities, including a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and a private bathroom with complimentary toiletries. However, the cleanliness fell short of expectations, and the overall condition of the rooms didn't meet the standards for a truly comfortable stay. There were dust webs around little corners. While suitable for a brief visit of one or two nights, an extended stay might not be advisable based on my experience.
On a positive note, the 24-hour front desk service was commendable, ensuring assistance was readily available whenever needed. Additionally, the option to engage in a game of pool added a touch of entertainment to the overall stay.
Summing up my personal experience, Apple Hotel Penang offers a budget-friendly option in an unbeatable location. However, guests should be aware of the limitations in terms of cleanliness, weak WiFi, and limited parking. It's a matter of weighing the pros and cons based on individual priorities and preferences. If you prioritize a clean and comfortable environment, exploring alternative options in the area might be worthwhile.
IIsabelleThe hotel location is right on the hot spot of Georgetown. But it goes with noise at night until 2am. So if you plan to be partying at night it's ideal and walking distance to Love Lane and all Georgetown touristic areas.
But if you wish to sleep and relax after midnight definitely not the right hotel for you.
The room was OK in terms of size but a lot of mosquitoes coming from the bathroom drain. I've killed at least 50 of them thanks to a mosquito raquet 𤣠The tip is to close the bathroom curtains so they don't get in the bedroom.
Humidity in the room had the paint peeling off.
For the price I don't think the room quality was enough. Specially for the humidity and mosquitoes combination.
The breakfast menu was not available but you can easily go down the street and eat at ease or order with the application grab. No bar available in the hotel.
The shared areas are clean. Loved that you have to take off your shoes at the entrance.
There are stairs to get into the hotel but they help you with your luggage. The first time you arrive you need to ring the bell for them to come open for you. Small door not easy to spot at first. I suggest to the hotel to stick the name directly on the door at eye level and big to avoid confusion. I've uploaded a picture of the door for you to not get lost.
After you check in they will give you the door code so easy for you to get by.
Staff has been helpful when asked but not interacting or giving you suggestion or asking you how things are going.
I've rated cleanness average because there was a lot of hair in the bathroom when I arrived. Had to literally take it off during 5 minutes. Thick long hair... Not sure how they didn't spot it.
Apart of that they were cleaning all right the rest of the stay.
Internet was not easy to get when in the room but in common areas or close to the door of the room works better. Don't save on a sim card and buy at the airport for having internet at all times on your phone. Will help you with maps and outside anyway.
The taxi from the airport was very convenient only 30 minutes and I ordered with grab came within 5 minutes.
Hope this information helps š¹
