Front entrance/check in area is extremely small, no way to be even 2 feet from someone else entering or exiting. No way to do touch-less check-in or get into the room without the card keys (which kept failing despite keeping them away from phones which demagnetize them). Maintenance man was wearing a mask - under his chin and not on his face. He never distanced himself, actually pushed past me at close distance more than once. Our room was on the top floor facing west - we had the direct sun in our room and it was a very hot day so our room was hot. Thought I might open the ac to full settings but that didn't work - the separate bedroom didn't have a unit, only a tiny vent to the living room where another family member was sleeping so the bedroom was hot. So the next thing was to open the window but there was a huge security light shining directly into the window. Why? Shouldn't it be pointing out onto the parking lot, not into the room? The light probably added to the heat imho. So it was overly hot all night. As we were checking out I was looking at housekeeping carts and didn't see anything out of the ordinary - no special steam cleaners, etc. It would have been nice to have a small packet of Lysol wipes added to the small dishwashing liquid under the sink to disinfect things.

I had asked for a 4th floor room away from the elevators and the day before arrival was told I was in a room next to the stairs and away from the elevators; however, later that same day the Hilton Honors app showed me in a room next to the elevators. So I called again and was again told I was in a room near the stairs which the app later confirmed as well. Check-in was quick. Upon entering the room (each time), the initial smell was that of weak cigarette smoke (even though the hotel is non-smoking) which dissipated a few minutes later especially if the A/C was running so not an issue after the first few minutes. There was no drain plug in the sink which maintenance promptly replaced and the sun shade was broken (although I didn't bother getting it fixed until I checked out). I found a long hair on the toilet tank top; however, the rest of the bathroom and room were clean. I was out of the hotel each morning and back in the afternoons so although parking spaces were full by the evening, not an issue for me. Two days later I heard a dog barking in the adjacent room. I spoke with the front desk person and she indicated the guest had not registered a dog. I know what a dog sounds like and asked her to contact the guest. She indicated that unless the guest was noisy during ”quiet” hours (ie. night time) the only thing she could do was move me to another room. Why should I be forced to move to another room when the hotel staff should contact the guest about the noise .. especially in this case where the family had not even registered the dog being with them? I returned to my room to hear the phone ringing next door and figuring it was the front desk calling, called her and told her that the family was not there and the phone ringing was inciting the dog to bark even more. Breakfast was a nice variety of hot and cold items to include eggs and waffles and cereal and fresh fruit. There is a fitness center and pool, neither of which I used. One nice thing that kept the noise down was the fact that the stairs doors were left open so didn't make noise shutting when someone used the stairs. The room doors themselves also make very little noise when closing.

An excellent hotel experience! This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time. The location is amazing. It is nestled in the foothills west of Denver as you drive west into the Rockies. It feels like you’re in a small mountain town but only 30 minutes from all the Denver attractions and convenient to the mountain attractions to the west. The room and the common areas were spotless. As other reviews stated, the beds are high off the ground but comfortable. The view from our room was the Front Range, but all the rooms are either overlooking the mountains or a wooded hillside. The best part of the hotel is the staff. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional, and conscientiousness. A special shout out to the front desk staff and the man and woman who maintained the breakfast room. Housekeeping was by request, which seems like the new normal in the hotel industry. You just have to remember to set it up the night before. The breakfast was tasty, but it literally was exactly the same for all 8 days we stayed. However, it was free, and there were enough options that it was satisfying. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay. It is right off I-70 in an area with food and shopping, but it is not your typical highway stop or suburban hotel. There are parks and natural areas all around. There are elk in the area as well as mountain vistas. With all of the wonderful amenities, clean and comfortable environment, excellent location, and great staff, this hotel was a major part of an amazing Colorado vacation and an excellent value for the price! If I’m ever in Denver again, I will definitely try to stay here again!
