Bird of Paradise Hotel

Really enjoyed my stay here. Would definitely stay again. Front desk were very accomodating, helping to ensure I got the bus to my next destination without running into trouble or getting scammed. Booked a tour at the travel counter and had a great time. Staff were very friendly.

I would never have booked this hotel if I had known the truth about it: no wifi, no hot water, no AC in the rooms. The food is just terrible at the hotel' restaurant, most of it from the microwave. The doors to the rooms are not tight, you can hear noise from outside.

The rooms were filled with cockroaches. Next day I requested for mortin spray but after spraying I was not able to sleep well due to the smell. I requested for the microwave but was told that they don’t have . Wrongly advertised that the rooms have microwave. Very bad experience. Wrong price advertised as $121.00

The staff at the Bird of Paradise Hotel reception are very nice, always smiling, and willing to offer a helping hand. The new hotel manager was on the ground helping his staff get our conference room set up the way we wanted without complaining as I experienced at the Gateway Hotel. The rooms are a little old and may need some paint touchup, especially the rooms overlooking to NUSFUND office. Also some pest treatments to control cockroaches. The a la carte menu is fine but for me is expensive in comparison to the quantity and quality. The restaurant waiters I think need to be more customer-focused just like the team at the reception.

Terrible ! No breakfast for all guests , no hot water all day..... Dirty room , dirty bathroom. We had to ask for towels in the bathroom. The employees were friendly! Internet connection was very slow

Very friendly, understanding and helpful front desk services and located at the heart of Goroka Town. Can visit nearby restaurants or stores if you are on budget. You will never be left behind when at front desk

I recently stayed at Bird of Paradise Hotel and had a mixed experience overall. While the room itself had a beautiful interior and offered a relaxing atmosphere with a great view of the town, there were a few issues that affected my stay. * Food Quality and Overcharging: I decided to order the Cheeseburger and Fries from the hotel's menu, which was priced at K55. However, when the food arrived, it was disappointingly cold. The chips were cold and the cheese had already melted and cooled down. To make matters worse, I was overcharged K10 for the meal, as I later discovered the actual price listed on the menu was K55. * Coffee Sachets Missing: Unfortunately, my room (206) did not have any coffee sachets available. As a coffee lover, this was a letdown, as I had hoped to enjoy a cup of coffee in the comfort of my room, as Goroka is a very cold place. * Empty Body Wash Dispenser: Another inconvenience was that the body wash dispenser in the bathroom had run out of soap. It was disappointing not to have this basic amenity provided. * Missing TV Remote: Lastly, there was no remote control for the TV in my room. This made it inconvenient to navigate the channels and adjust the volume easily, affecting my overall entertainment experience. Despite these drawbacks, I must commend the hotel's staff for their exceptional friendliness. They were always ready to assist and were genuinely warm and welcoming. Their hospitality made up for some of the inconveniences I faced during my stay. I hope the hotel takes these concerns into account and ensures that future guests do not encounter such issues. With improvements in these areas, I believe Bird of Paradise Hotel has the potential to offer an excellent experience for all its guests.

The room was clean, but the floor requires proper cleaning. Dust piling on the edges of beds, wall and tables. Overall, services were great, but it would have been better if complimentary breakfast were provided.
