Hotels near Le summum in Grenoble

We stayed two nights at this aparthotel, when coming back from Les Deux Alpes, before leaving Grenoble. This aparthotel is located on the western side of the Grenoble train station (but Grenoble is small enough to walk around). The aparthotel was actually quite pleasant. We were in a group of six and were given an apartment with two bedrooms and one sofa bed in the living room. The apartment completes with a small kitchen, toilet and a bathroom. Everything was clean on arrival, but one toilet and bathroom might be too crowded for six people. It has the home-feeling for us and we like the place. The aparthotel also have gym facilities, but we did not use it. There is also a restaurant serving breakfast in the morning, but we did not have it. From the hotel, you can walk (safely) to the town centre (where most shops and restaurants are) located. I found the surrounding area quiet at night, but completely safe to walk around. This aparthotel is very good for those who want to stay close to train/ bus station, but at the same time able to walk to town centre. I booked it through ALL website and it was actually cheaper than Ibis Styles hotel nearby, but with larger space.

Very central location, hotel offers a clean room with extra facilities of electric hobs, microwave, coffee machine and kettle. The bath/shower was good and always had hot water. 2 chairs and table with tv. The room is not luxurious but has everything you need. There is a pharmcy across the road from the hotel and a supermarket a short walk away. You are also very close to shops and most tourist locations are a short walk away. You are also near bus and tram stops. It is about a 15/20 minute walk to the train/bus station for your return journey.

Opposite the railway station. A password is required to enter the gate. The apartment-style hotel has a kitchen for cooking, and the hygienic house has shelves for drying clothes. Carrefour easy is very close to the hotel.

The location is top and the rooms are really good and adequate. This based on our reservation was a junior suite with balcony. Breakfast table in the morning was super with fine selections and good stuff, The coffee on cans was thin like water! However, there was an expresso maschine for self service. We arrived by car, and since the hotel is in a pedestrian street they offer a valet service. Very good. The staff was very helpfull with anything, and also positive and smiling. We felt very good to stay here. The internet could have greater power, disfunction in busy hours!

Two people at the very available reception (I was lost in the new building and they came to get me despite a flood rain ) and competent. A very clean room, quiet and the hotel ideally placed for training at the Mounier High School.

The hotel is located right beside the Grenoble train station in what could be considered as a business district. Surrounding the hotel are a range of offices such as the World Trade Centre and the School of Management. The main centre or more touristic area is a pleasant 10-15 stroll away or indeed you can take the tram. There are a few restaurants and convenience stores located within 5 minute walk. The entrance to the hotel is a little unassuming However upon entry you are greeted with a modern lobby. There is a nice seating area for meeting or enjoying a drink from the bar. This then expands to a restaurant area which gets good reviews and then further to the breakfast area. The fixtures and fittings are to a high standard and have a semi luxurious feel. The check-in was professional however a wait was needed until the room was ready even though it was already 2pm. The room was quite a contrast to the modern plush interior of the lobby. It felt a little dated and showed the signs of aging. The carpet and sofa stained, the curtains ripped, the table edging peeling. The decor of the room appeared a little drab. The room was a privilege room and was spacious with a large double bed (two singles zipped) sofa, desk, chair and lounge chair. It was equipped with a mini bar with complimentary drinks and a coffee pod machine (limescale in the water tank) and large screen TV. The bathroom was split into a separate shower and WC - handy for families I'm sure but not hygienic to have two doors between the toilet and sink. The worst element of this room was that it was located opposite the lift. The lift chimed not only when it landed on that floor, but also it seemed everytime it was used, that could only account for it chiming at least twice a minute in peak times and was loud enough for me to try and put pillows at the door to soundproof it somewhat. The room also didn't get cleaned in the three day stay when I left it empty each morning. Upon return after lunch I requested from the cleaner to at least replenish the tea/coffee but she never returned. Overall, this is a pleasant hotel and good value for money. However my opinion is that it is not up to the standard of other 4 star Novotels in France.

Hotel is good, clean. Staff is polite. Unfortunately, the impression was lubricated by a small incident (refusal of settlement) when it turned out that the prepayment we made did not enter the hotel. To the honour of the hotel staff, they together with the customer support service trip.com quickly solved the problem. And yet, the hotel is a bit far from the center, but it wasn 't a big problem because we were able to drive to the center by tram. Breakfast is typically French, very delicious.

Just next to the university, you can get down to the tram. The transportation is very convenient. There is a big supermarket (géant ******) next to it, and shopping is also convenient. There is a KFC and McDonald's around 900 meters away, and there are also nearby restaurants. It just doesn’t have air conditioning, so it’s France

The room we stayed in was simple, clean and comfortable, although it was inconvenient that the space between the desk and bed was too small to pass through when sitting on a chair. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and were happy to accommodate our requests, which was good. The car parking was next to the hotel and very convenient, with direct access in and out of the hotel. The breakfast was also delicious, with scrambled eggs and grilled bacon, which was appreciated by the tourists and business travellers from other countries. If I have the opportunity to come to Grenoble again, I would stay here again.
