Leonardo Hotel Hamburg Stillhorn

Everything was great, except for being a bit far from the city and having no air conditioning. The bus stop was also a bit of a walk. But the best part was the free milk and cake always available on the first floor, and their apple pie was quite good!

The hotel's location isn't in the city center, but it's not too far off either. Considering our main itinerary for Hamburg was quite packed, one day was enough to get everything done, so we decided on this hotel based on our subsequent travel plans. The overall experience was fantastic! The room was very spacious, clean, and tidy. There's a parking area with lovely greenery right outside the hotel building, so you don't have to worry about noise from the road (though I suspect the German autobahns being less busy at night might also contribute to that, haha). Breakfast was delicious too. Perhaps because it was my second time booking with Leonardo, I received a small gift – a chocolate bar – when I signed up for the membership at check-out. It was a pleasant surprise!

Overall, the hotel is quite nice and inexpensive. The breakfast is plentiful. The facilities are new, but the water temperature is unstable, sometimes hot and sometimes cold. The hotel's location is rather remote; there are no restaurants or drinks nearby. The hotel itself does have some, but not on Sundays.

During the exhibition, I couldn't book a hotel in downtown Hamburg. I was quite surprised to book this Leonardo. It is about 13 kilometers from the city and 17 kilometers from Hamburg Messe (40 euros by taxi). The hotel is right at the highway exit, which is quite convenient. It is difficult to call a taxi during the morning rush hour, so you can ask the front desk to help you call a taxi. There is a parking lot at the entrance of the hotel, and there are many parking spaces. Moreover, there is a Tesla super charging station, which is very friendly for renting electric cars. The overall environment of the room is good, clean and tidy. The bed in the king-size bed room is made of two small beds. Many hotels in Germany do not have air conditioning, but are equipped with an industrial-style fan. Fortunately, Hamburg was not very hot in early September. The breakfast is a very classic German breakfast, with various alkaline buns and various hams, and the taste is pretty good. But this Chinese stomach, everyone knows. There is free fruit supply in the hotel lobby, bananas, prunes, grapes, and they all taste very good.

A budget hotel next to the highway, nothing special, a little old, but the breakfast is OK.
