The only problem was that we had difficulty reaching the hotel when we first arrived because of road or bridge construction, as the roads were closed due to construction... However, the next day we learned that it was easy to reach the train station from the park right next to the hotel. The train station is a 3-5 minute walk away... The train station is one stop away from the central train station... There is a large supermarket 7-9 minutes away from the hotel... If I come again, I would consider staying here again... "What more can I say... it sounds more exciting at first than it actually is. It's a typical hipster hotel: everything cool, everything casual, but not very practical, and even less professional! Getting from the ground floor to your room is always a trek, and the numerous uninspired construction fences and red-white-red plastic barrier tapes make you feel like you're walking through a construction site. The rooms are modern, but impractical and cold. In our suite, we couldn't even crack a window open for ventilation, there was no shelf on my side of the bed for my phone and other belongings, the bathroom was tiny for a suite with no storage space, the oversized TV blocked the view of what would otherwise be a great view, and so on. In short: you can do it once, but you don't have to. There are better hotels in the area, more practical, and cheaper to boot."

"I arrived here early Friday evening. I completed the self-check-in with my iPad, got the room code, and the location of the accommodation was great. That was about it, though. The room was a disaster for me. It smelled incredibly unpleasant/penetrating of cleaning products and air freshener upon entering. The bed feels like it's 120 cm wide for two people! It squeaks endlessly, even when you just sit down on it, and the mattress collapses in the middle. Oh, and it's really quite hard. And this "TV cabinet-bed wall" in the middle of the room made of thin plywood...no words. The plaster was peeling off the walls in a few corners, and there were dark streaks everywhere from my predecessors. The kitchen was OK. The bathroom was acceptable at best, clean, but nothing more and nothing less. I was definitely not in the mood for rest—let alone vacation. I contacted the hotline because the reception unfortunately wouldn't be open until Monday. I asked if there was any possibility of a different room. There wasn't. Okay, then I'd like to check out straight away because I can't and don't want to sleep here for that kind of money (and I wouldn't have been able to either... squeal!). Since I booked through Check24, I was told that a goodwill/cancellation request could only be made through the portal, and then the lady on the phone (who seemed really nice, by the way) would see what she could do. The end of the story: 30 minutes later I received an email rejecting my cancellation request, and I'll probably be left with the costs. I then angrily checked into the EAST (for €40 more) and spent 2.5 wonderful days in Hamburg. Thank you EAST ❤️ And unfortunately a big NO, thanks to SMARTments Business! PS: The pictures are at most 50% true. Very unloving and tacky design! Never again!"

On the day I checked in, there was a lovely lady from Taiwan at the front desk who was incredibly enthusiastic. She proactively asked if I needed any help with my travel plans and even let me know her off-duty time, inviting me to come back and ask her anything before she left. Thumbs up to her! The hotel's location is also excellent, and from a value-for-money perspective, the price was more than reasonable – I'd even say it was a steal."

"The suite was spacious, and the welcome snacks were decent, but the executive lounge was a bit shabby. The location is excellent, next to the train station and subway, and right next to a shopping district. There are also Chinese restaurants and Jianbing (Chinese crepes) within walking distance. There's no private garage; you have to walk a few steps to their recommended secure parking garage, which is quite expensive, given it's in the city center."
