The staff and the room environment are good but the hot water system is poor, the hot water will finish within 10 minutes during the shower and the water quality is not good either. After shower, you will feel how dry your hair can be.
I liked the big window with lots of natural light. In the morning, the whole room felt bright and open. The furniture was basic but practical. Bedside plugs made it easy to charge my phone while lying down. Quiet at night, slept well.

The location is great! You can literally just walk and explore the city with ease. The train street is only a 10-minute walk and the manager and staff are really nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
It got me really excited too cause it’s cheap for such room.

Super apartments! We were going to spend the day and leave in the evening, but we were late. We stayed another night. Cozy, clean, has everything you need. Many thanks for helping us buy tickets (our card was blocked), the person was in touch with us for a very long time and really helped! Thank you very much! We will come back for another 3 nights in a few days, we didn't even look for anything else.

The room had hot water in and out, so when I went to use the bathtub, I had to save the hot water when it came out. The room was spacious and nice. The food was cold and not tasty, but it filled me up.

The environment is very good, the view outside the window is beautiful, the room is spotless, all facilities are very new, it is in an alley and very quiet at night. Located in the central urban area of Hanoi, it is not far from major scenic spots and there are many places to eat. If you join a group to go to Halong Bay, you will basically be the last one to be picked up and the first one to be dropped off, which saves a lot of time on the road. Overall very good

Very Good
GGuest UserThe slippers that were provided for walking around the room was too loud, where it is difficult to be quiet when walking around in them. The husband is also uptight in not letting people eat in the dining area but outside which I can understand and could go along with, because they don't want the guest to leave garbage or get their table dirty, but they need to at least leave a garbage can outside so the guest don't have to leave it on the ground. I didn't like how I couldn't find a place to throw my ice cream wrapper away when I ate it outside and had to end up throwing it in the garbage of another person's place.
I also didn't like the location of how it was out of the city center where it wasn't near any grocery stores or open fruit and vegetable, and meat markets. Just by a bunch of restaurants some being a bunch of aggressive jerks sitting outside waiting for bystanders to walk by where they try to aggressively approach you to get you to eat at their restaurant. I need a place where I can use a kitchen to cook food for myself. I don't need to eat out every day.
These owners are a bit shady at times in that when I did came in early where it was not time for me to check in where I was willing to wait until my room is ready, their son had the nerve to try to make a few bucks off me in that if I pay them a few bucks, I can have my room before the check in time which was a bit tacky. The husband didn't give me very good advice when he told me that staying at this place is good for going into the city center and coming back, which it isn't for me, because I have to take the bus 1 hour and 45 minutes to the city center which is a longways. What lousy advice for my situation like he was trying to convince me to stay longer just so that they can make more money off of me. This was a little tacky too. Good for them, but not good for me.
I also didn't like how they send my clothing to a cleaner when I thought they were going to wash it in their washer and hang it up on their clothesline on their top floor. Not only that, but the cleaners lost my dress pants in the process or probably even stoled it and kept it for themselves and not really telling me the truth. I told them about this and they said that the cleaners who they sent it to didn't know what happen to it. The owners were even trying to try to lie a little bit by saying that I never gave them a dress pants for them to wash which is a bunch of ********.
They could have just let me use their washer where I could have used my own detergent to wash my clothing and hang it up to dry on their clothesline on the rooftop of their place where I would have paid them for it. For all I know these cleaners that they sent my clothing to for them to wash could be their friend and they are trying to help give their friends the business for any of their guests that has laundry for them to use. These cleaners are probably a bunch of thieves for all I know that probably looked through guests clothing for things that are valuable which they take and pretend that they don't know anything about it when the guests inquire of it. This is another shady tactical thing that they are probably doing as well.
I even asked them if they could compensate me which would not have amounted to much which they had refused. They didn't even have the nerve to apologize to me but to only lie to me by telling me ******** that the cleaners who they sent guests clothing to never lose any of their clothing which is a bunch of ********. All of this could have been avoided had they either let me use their washer or they wash it for me in their washer where I would have paid them. Do not trust these people with your clothing!!!!
GGuest UserI spent a night at the hotel, and I really slept incredibly well! The room was super clean, Hanh's family was very loving, their food, mmm, was delicious! I left my backpack there, and I'll come back to get it in a month, and they'll take care of it for me during that time! I'll definitely sleep there when I come back before I leave :)
Thank you so much!!!

GGuest Usertl;dr The drainage isnt fast enough for the water to drain out the shower. Bring your own shampoo.
Next was the shower, by god the pressure is enough to wash your spray tan off and even you get tired of showers quickly, after about 2 minutes, the shower starts becoming a bath. If the lip on the door was at least half a meter higher, it could have made for a pleasant soaking session, but unfortunately leave that high-pressure hose on for longer than 3 minutes and you'll be staying in Atlantis. Oh and if you're like me and like clean hair. Bring your own shampoo, I have seen rocks lather better than this sudless blue sap in the shampoo bottle.
tl;dr No cutlery. Only bowls for Africa.
It started off very pleasant. Very speedy response to the Whatsapp message stating I'm outside, here's your room number code. Flick the switch for the power, press the light switch to activate the water heating for when you shower. No problem, loving it. The first issue arise when I wanted to eat some of the yoghurt I bought the night before, fantasizing about this breakfast I opened the cupboards in the kitchen to find each cupboard completely barren and without cutlery. They have bowls, boy do they have bowls. Unfortunately the bowls were too big to fit in the yogurt container to use as a spoon or else I would have been sorted.
SSharNot really welcome to customer The lady at reception asked very strange question, ‘which country are you flying ‘. Once we checked in we are checking out the next day early morning and she asked this too personal question to us . We both were shocked suddenly asked us like that. Actually she has transport one person 100 VND to air port car service and if we booked grab was only 40 VND to air port which is only 10 minutes away from hotel. I mean she can do business but not asking to the customers which country are you flying ??? We feel very strange and not safe a little bit as the area is outskirt from town . Toilet is chocked and we both controlled the whole night not using heavily 😂 . Only one night stay because the next day early morning flight. We will not come bk to this place again. Many hotels surrounding many choices. Open business but don’t understand service.
JJohnI stayed in this friendly place for a month. Polite staff, delicious breakfasts and a very homely atmosphere. Toilets are clean, showers too. The house itself, in which the hostel is located, resembles a French house from Provence. A nice lady at the reception will come to your help at any time of the day, concerning life in the hostel, and will also help you navigate in Hanoi. As I already wrote, the hostel provides delicious breakfasts, which are served every morning in the lobby - breakfasts are very full, so you will not go hungry. Also, upon request, they can prepare lunch or dinner for you, and you can also use the bar. In addition to food and drinks, the hostel provides laundry services, you can rent a bike or bicycle, and you can also order various tours of Hanoi and the suburbs of Hanoi. I was on a tour of Hanoi from the hostel; I was satisfied with everything; I learned more about the city. Overall, the hostel is suitable for both short-term and long-term stays - both the location and the services, as well as the attractive prices. I will recommend it to my friends and acquaintances.
SSanaIt was comfortable stay so you get what you paid for. The location was not the best because you need to take a bus or taxi to get to the old city. The receptionist were very kind and helpful. They offer tours and taxi to and from the airport in reasonable prices. 10 min taxi to Aeon mall which has the best food court in Hanoi in my experience.
KKedar HegdeProbably the best hotel at Hanoi.
Its just outside the Old Quarter and all the tourist attractions are at walkable distance. The hotel is completely PIN based, hence you don't need to have any keys or anything and will be open 24*7. The Wi-Fi is very good. But the best part was hygiene. The place was maintained so well and so clean that I just loved it.
The only con is that the bathrooms are translucent. If you are not travelling with your partners and are insecure, you might want to be careful here.
Otherwise, the place is just perfect and highly recommended!!
Thanks!!

TTobias TI recently stayed at Hanoi Ecogreen Hostel located in Hanoi's bustling Old Quarter. Overall, my experience was fairly satisfactory, with a few notable observations.
Service: The service was decent, but it fell short of my expectations. While the staff members were generally friendly and willing to assist, their response time to inquiries and requests could be improved. Nonetheless, they were always polite and tried their best to address any concerns that arose.
Facilities and Cleanliness: The hostel's facilities were well-maintained, and the cleanliness was top-notch.
Location: The location of Hanoi Ecogreen Hostel was a highlight. Situated in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter, it offered easy access to the city's vibrant nightlife, delicious street food, and iconic landmarks. The hostel's central location made it convenient to explore the bustling streets and vibrant atmosphere that this part of the city is known for.
Pro Tip: One helpful tip I would like to share is to always take pictures of your clothes before sending them for laundry. This precaution can help avoid any potential mix-ups or missing items, ensuring a hassle-free experience during your stay.
In summary, Ecogreen Hostel in Hanoi's Old Quarter provided a satisfactory experience. The cleanliness, facilities, and strategic location make it a suitable choice for travelers looking to explore the lively streets of Hanoi. Taking necessary precautions, such as photographing your clothes before giving them for laundry, can also help ensure a smooth stay.

GGuest UserAbsolutely gorgeous room. Was so tired after my 1am flight, but the travel here was cheap and fast. There’s a 24hr checkin but I couldn’t get in, turns out the guy was sleeping and the doorbell wasn’t working, it was fine though. Very comfortable bed, Slept amazingly. Would 100% stay here again if I ever fly to Viet Nam again 👍
GGuest UserIt was pretty good experience for me. Because they have a coffee shop upstair which run by young people of Hanoi, very nice people. Without booking this hotel, i would never knew them. The people here are warm, also if you are tourist, you need to aware that the front main door of the hotel is closed before mid night. I think which is cool somehow with proper security but the disadvantage is you can't come back hotel anytime, altought you can, it very bad feeling to wake the security guy up everytime. the price is very suitable and its on the way to High way and town, great location not so far from town and not so close.
