I had an excellent stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. What truly made it exceptional was the extraordinary team working there—every interaction was warm, professional, and thoughtful. The room was a beautiful blend of classic elegance and modern comfort, spacious and immaculately maintained. As a foreign visitor, I found the hotel incredibly welcoming and easy to navigate, with staff always ready to assist. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, close to everything. An unforgettable experience made possible by outstanding people.

To give a fair opinion on this hotel. The room was clean but it is very small.  I had phobia using the bathroom.  Fortunately I was given a room on high floor with Mountain and no block from opposite building.  The location was their selling point because it was 10 minutes walking distance from MTR station.  3 stops from Central.   It was hard to find hotels with such price in Hong Kong.

The ibis hotel is in a great location that can be accessed by tram and bus, or with a further walk the train or ferry. We booked a harbor view and it was spectacular for the price! The room was a good size, but there is limited toiletries so pack what you need for your stay. Tons of great restaurants and bakeries nearby, and a Starbucks in the lobby for convenience

It's a very good value for money. Location is very convenient, the room is a bit small but very clean and tidy. There's an outside garden so we could take away food and eat there. Simple but there's a breakfast provided and it was very helpful.

We booked for 5 nights stay with Conrad, upon check-in we received conrad Teddy with rose petals on the bed and the bedroom is overseeing Hong Kong Peak view . The view is magnificent . - room size is decent for HK but slightly small comparing to Conrad LA & Conrad Tokyo. - room is a little old fashion and outdated and there's ”MOULDY” smell in the room, we are not very enjoying the smell despite the view -Make up room has separate bath-tub, shower, toilet and 2 basin which are good for couple -they have a lobby bar good for light snack and se live music in the late evening - breakfast spread is TERRIBLE WITH LIMITED OPTIONS & QUALITY IS LOW for CONRAD . We went for 2 days same breakfast menu and we didn't go for the rest I'd the day -location of the hotel is good, you press level 3 and it brings u to Pacific place good for shopping and meals.

Rating: 10/10 We booked two rooms at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, and my parents were extremely satisfied with their stay. They stayed in a room with two large double beds, and everything was perfect. The view from the room was breathtaking, and the room size was spacious and very comfortable. All aspects—service, facilities, location, and cleanliness—were absolutely top-notch, deserving a full 10/10. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and luxurious stay, especially for families!

Services and amenities are great. Only two negative points I had which will prevent me from ever going back there: they used the email address I provided to subscribe me to their marketing emails despite explicitly asking not to and filling the form to avoid these emails as well. I am now receiving few emails a day and unable to unsubscribe. I had to create a specific rule for GHA Discovery emails to go straight to the bin, but they also subscribed me to third party marketing… The second point, I purchased a food credit when I checked in, during the whole stay the staff won’t answer how much of that was used, only on check out they’d let you know if you spent more to pay the balance.

The hotel positions itself as a 4-star establishment, but it falls short of that mark. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Location: The location is excellent, if you don't mind a steep uphill walk. However, the entire island is built on different levels, which isn't a negative but rather a positive – a daily workout! There's a bus stop right by the hotel, making it easy to reach the metro instead of walking up and down, straining your leg muscles. Next door is a botanical and zoological garden where you can take a stroll. By the way, entry is free. A 10-minute walk down the hill leads to the cable car ”tram” stop for a trip to Victoria Peak. Check-in: Check-in was fast, but a USD 300 deposit is required, which isn't mentioned on either the trip.com website or the hotel's website. If you need an adapter for your electronic devices, ask for one right away – the receptionist won't offer it. Room: The room is relatively clean, though I did find some hair in the kitchen and on the bedding. For Hong Kong, the room is spacious, but there's nowhere to store a suitcase. You can set the temperature on the air conditioner, but it doesn't work. It only blows cold air, making the room humid. Kitchen: The kitchen is minimally equipped, but it's sufficient. However, upon check-in, they warn you that the stove can only be used for reheating food, not cooking, as the fire alarm system is very sensitive and might activate the siren due to hot steam. You must turn on the exhaust fan to full power and the air conditioner to avoid triggering the alarm. Why bother having a kitchen at all? Bathroom: The same situation as with the kitchen – you need to close the door and turn on the air conditioner at full power while showering to avoid the fire alarm being triggered by steam from the bathroom. The shower hose started leaking on the second day of my stay. It was replaced with a new one, which also leaked. When the technician replaced the hose, did he check if the equipment was working properly? I doubt it. Breakfast: Breakfast is only served from a menu, which is quite limited. It's delicious, but not diverse. Is this the service you'd expect from a 4-star hotel? The breakfast organization is chaotic – staff running around and clanging dishes. Two slow coffee machines and one toaster keep guests waiting in line. By the way, there are plastic mugs for tea and coffee. The only fruit options are two types of apples – red and green. Service: The service is polite, but I'd say it's ”on demand.” You need to ask for shampoo, shower gel, and dishwashing liquid to be refilled. The housekeeping, for some reason, doesn't notice the need to replenish hygiene products in the bathroom and kitchen. Environmentalism: As in all of Hong Kong, they no longer provide water in plastic bottles. That's good, but come up with an alternative so guests don't have to go to the store for water. In my opinion, this environmental concern is simply an opportunity to reduce service costs while maintaining high accommodation prices. Speaking of breakfast again, the jam and butter are provided in small plastic containers, just like on airplanes. Is this really about caring for the environment? Conclusion: Overall, it's a good choice if you're not bothered by the minor service inconsistencies and if you don't have high expectations for a 4-star hotel. If you're visiting Hong Kong, I'd recommend Two MacDonell Road.

KKongxianxin5This is an older hotel. Taikoo Place is conveniently located downstairs, offering a few decent restaurants, making it easy to dine out or buy fruits and snacks from the supermarket. The room amenities were quite basic, on par with a decent 3 or 4-star hotel in a major Chinese city. The furnishings were dated; the fabric sofa had old stains, and the glass coffee table was wobbly. The only redeeming quality was the room's view (I was on the 42nd floor, so I can't speak for other floors). The hygiene has also declined from what it used to be. It seems the staff cuts corners whenever possible. The duvet cover likely wasn't changed before our check-in. On the day we checked in, my child immediately jumped onto the bed to play, and when they flipped over the duvet, we discovered bloodstains inside. Fortunately, my child saw it and called it out, as no adult would typically think to check the inside of a duvet cover. A manager came with someone, took photos, replaced the duvet, and then left without another word. We stayed for 7 nights. On the first day, there was a shower cap in the bathroom, but from the second day onwards, only hair ties were provided. I was too lazy to call room service and just made do. On another day, the trash wasn't collected. The following day, I had to place the bin in the middle of the room for them to finally collect it. At check-out, the front desk staff apologized for the bloodstains on the duvet and asked me to wait. She then turned, went into a room behind her, came out, and said the manager wanted to apologize in person but wasn't available, offering two biscuits as an apology... This attitude is truly telling, isn't it? Is this typical service here? They couldn't even offer a heartfelt apology. Perhaps subconsciously, they just view tourists as easy targets for exploitation? I was originally quite tolerant and hadn't even intended to bring up the bloody bedding incident. However, that bizarre gesture of offering two biscuits at check-out truly infuriated me. Did they feel obliged to address it to save face, even if half-heartedly? That's why I'm leaving this review, so others can be aware of the current standards of this hotel. And just a side note about the food at Taikoo Place restaurants: I hope the hotel doesn't think their biscuits are five-star quality. Neither I nor my child even like biscuits.

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel was excellent, with direct mall access to the mall and MTR. The rooms were fresh feeling and large bathrooms. Bed was soft and amazing. Mountain view with partial harbour view was OK, but not worth paying extra for. The check-in service was very manual and slow. Given this was the holiday period, but the process when engaged was very slow. We used the swimming pool which needs a refresh when compared to the Shangri-La next door. There are good gym and also dining options.

QQinglianmiaoThe place was quite quiet, and the room was reasonably clean. However, the bed was made of two single beds pushed together. It's a mixed bag, but considering the price in Hong Kong, it's pretty much what you'd expect. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit far from the MTR, requiring a bit of a walk.

GGuest UserOur family had a wonderful stay at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed and served by the team. The room was large comparing with others in the same area, layout and amenities was perfect for preparation of simple meals for the little one. Location is ultra convenient with plenty of local (casual dining) and fine dining restaurants around, major shopping centres are also a stone’s throw away. All in all an excellent choice for a no frills hotel and great deal at this price point (by HK standards).

AAnonymous UserThis is a no frills yet comfortable guest house with a stunning view of the Victoria Harbour. The deluxe room is spacious by local standards yet did not cost a bomb at all. It's situated right behind a bustling high street with lots of eateries and amenities. It is also round the corner from the tram and bus stops, including a direct route to the airport. The MTR station is also just a short walk away. All in all, a good choice for people who want to experience living in an authentic local neighbourhood.

AAdevaThe room is small but that's to be expected for HK Central. Great location. There is a short walk and some stairs from the metro, so keep that in mind if you're walking with luggage. Towels are thin disposable ones. Not bad but some might not like them. Slightly musty smell when I just entered but understandable given the size and layout. Room was clean, sheets were clean, bed was comfy. The AC is kind of loud, but again, understandable. Water pressure in the shower was great. Got a coffee tumbler for 60 HKD and got a free coffee. Not a bad deal. Overall I'd stay here again.
