The hotel provides clean rooms, but there’s some confusion regarding the term “double-bed room.” It’s unclear whether the hotel or Trip.com is responsible for using this term to describe a room with just one large bed, which can mislead visitors seeking two separate beds. The website should clarify this terminology to avoid inconvenience. Guests shouldn’t have to leave additional notes when booking, as the room choice should be clear from the options provided.

Amazing place, clean, comfortable, and convenient. I would stay there again, it has a pretty cafe in the ground floor, the. In the B1 Floor it has a nice, spacious, clean kitchen with refrigerators, oven, microwave, stove, everything to cook there and space to eat as well.
Well-located near a Night Market, and other places to visit

I was already deeply attracted by the unique and tranquil environment of the hotel, but I was even more surprised to find a 'traveler's storybook' in the room! Reading the various sad, happy, or bewildered stories left by past guests who stayed in the same room deeply moved me to tears. I gained immense energy from your stories. Thank you, hotel, for this warm and thoughtful gesture. If I ever have the chance to travel solo to Taitung again, I will definitely stay here once more!! 🥹

I had a wonderful stay: perfect location in the city center, very nice and comfortable room, kind staff. They provided a voucher to have breakfast at the coffeeshop in front, or even bought breakfast for us.
Would definitely stay here again!

LolitaI was very surprised as from the few pictures I have seen it looked small but in fact I found the small room they offer rather enough. The bathroom was huge. The bed is nice too. The reception and the breakfast rooms are well decorated and very enjoyable. Great location on top of that ! Nearby night market. And a great thanks to the young man at the reception who took time to help me park my big car.

The location is right next to the transit station, offering many route options whether you're coming from the train station or heading to the suburbs, though bus frequencies are low. There's also a paid parking lot across the street, which is convenient if you're driving. Nearby, you'll find department stores, a cinema, a night market, and a regular market, making it very lively with excellent amenities.
The hotel uses a fully self-check-in system with no staff visible on site. There's only one check-in machine, placed a bit out of the way, which I didn't notice immediately upon arrival. After completing the process, you receive a password to open the main door.
There's no elevator, and the male dorm room is on the 4th floor. The only common facility is a water dispenser. The toilet is located inside the room and combined with the shower. If all beds are occupied, you might have to wait to use the bathroom.
The room size is decent, and the bed is quite comfortable. Overall, it's a reasonably comfortable stay, especially for a solo traveler for one or two nights, and the price is affordable. However, if you have concerns about shared bathroom facilities, I'd advise against visiting during peak season!

We were so lucky to be told we'd been upgraded to the Naluwan Hotel on the way. We were then upgraded to the Starry Sky Suite on site.
It had a living room, a terrace with a hot spring bath, and two bathrooms. It was spacious and comfortable. We also had a lot of coupons for experiences like cocktails and a golf driving range.
The tea bags in the room were also great, and I even bought some before leaving.
The service was incredibly warm and friendly. I highly recommend Naluwan Hotel to anyone visiting Taitung!

twinkleracI had a pleasant stay at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel 4 years ago, so thought I'd try Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II this time, as they are located near to each other, very close to the bus station and Tiehua Village. This is a great location to explore the city. However, other than the superb location and the bigger room, there isn't much else to love about this hotel.
There was literally no service at this branch. Staff were not welcoming and unlike other hotels in Taiwan, they do not greet guests when you are at the lobby. I also never saw any of them smile at guests. In fact, on my first day of check-in, I was blatantly told to check in at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel instead, because ”the hotel is closed for the day”. When I asked how come I was not informed earlier, the staff answered ”because you don't have a Taiwan mobile number”. This is absurd to me, isn't there the Trip.com messaging service where you can contact guests? Very disappointed with the way they handle such cases, no apology at all, and just gives a very transactional feeling. The only time I encountered a staff who greeted me was at the breakfast restaurant.
Room amenities and facilities look like they need proper maintenance, and the windows were so dirty. The bed was also not very comfortable to sleep on.
Lastly, I know Taiwan hotel breakfasts are usually not so nice compared to eating out in the breakfast shops, but the quality of the breakfast was really bad. Seasonal fresh fruit selection was only watermelon on 1 morning, and guava + watermelon on another.
In conclusion, very disappointed with my stay here this time. Will definitely think twice about returning to Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II the next time I visit Taitung again.

The hotel offers a private parking lot, but with only 7 spots, it's strictly first-come, first-served. If it's full, guests can use a nearby partner paid parking facility; just present the receipt to the hotel upon departure to receive a NT$120 credit towards your parking fee. Alternatively, if you opt for street parking, simply give your parking ticket to the front desk at check-out, and they will handle the payment.
The location is excellent; a vibrant food district is right outside the hotel, so you'll never have to worry about finding a meal.
Rooms are spacious, boast great shower water pressure, and the air conditioning is refreshingly cold.
Breakfast is adequate and filling, featuring items like plain rice, braised minced pork, congee, stir-fried vegetables, tea eggs, steamed buns, grape juice, soy milk, coffee, toast with various spreads, and two types of fruit.
Overall, a hotel definitely worth a return visit.

Guest UserWhile the facilities are new, there's considerable room for improvement in overall service. Here are a few points for consideration:
1. Before arrival, I received a call asking if I'd be okay changing from a king-bed room to two twin beds, which I agreed to. However, upon checking in, I found the room's window to be unusually small and the room quite dark. When I raised this with the front desk, they claimed I had already confirmed the change. This room clearly didn't match the photos, especially since I had specifically booked a higher-priced room. It only makes sense to switch to a two-twin-bed room if it's of a comparable price and quality. Eventually, they moved me to a quad room with a large window.
2. During check-in, when confirming payment, I was told my credit card had only been pre-authorized and not actually charged yet. However, the Trip.com app clearly showed that payment had already been made. This created a bad impression. If I had allowed the front desk to swipe my card again, I would have been double-charged. There seems to be a significant loophole in their payment management system, which could easily lead to disputes later on and should be addressed immediately.
3. In the bathroom, the shower stall only has a quarter-glass panel separating it from the sink area. After showering, the floor around the sink was completely soaked. A full glass sliding door or a shower curtain is definitely needed to prevent water from splashing all over the bathroom floor during a shower.
4. I needed a late check-out because my event didn't finish until noon, and I was aware of the 200/hour charge. I informed the front desk that morning, but upon returning, I found my key card had been deactivated, and I couldn't access my room. There's clearly a communication breakdown among the internal staff.
5. Upon check-in, breakfast was an additional 100 per person. However, when I went for breakfast, no one asked for my room number, which made me wonder if non-paying guests could also dine there. Including breakfast in the room rate might prevent such misunderstandings, or they should strictly enforce payment confirmation before allowing guests to eat.
