"This is the second time I stayed at the Shochikumei Hotel. The hotel seems to be a renovation of the former workers' dormitory. It is within a ten-minute walk from Nagoya Station. It is two stops away from Sakae Station, and the transportation is very convenient.
The hotel room is small, but very clean, and disposable toothbrushes and slippers are provided.
The bathroom and toilet are public, relatively clean and sanitary. I will stay here again next time, mainly because it is cost-effective."

pinoy solo travelerThe best choice for a budget solo traveler. It offers free unlimited drinks all day, unlimited curry with rice for breakfast, unlimited fresh ramen noodles at night, and free alcoholic drinks in the evening.
There is a lounge on the 11th floor, a public bath with a hot pool and sauna, and free shampoo, body soap, conditioner, hair gel, hair spray, and face and body lotion. It also provides free toothbrushes and razors. The locker fits a 20kg size luggage if not, you can put it at the large luggage compartment and ask for chain with lock at the lobby. There are coin washing machines and dryers available as well.
Heads up to those with tattoos: this hotel only has a public bath, and tattoos are not allowed.

Anonymous UserI stayed for 3 nights, for my opinion the hostel facilities are quite new and very clean. Although guests are required to leave between 11:00-15:00, but everything is refreshed and spotless when you return, almost like check in again each day. However, it would be better, if there were more space available for packing.
