YYaxiaojieThis was the perfect hotel for our trip to Huangshan. Traveling with elderly parents and children, my biggest worry is always encountering various issues, but upon arrival, all our concerns were completely taken care of. They even thoughtfully provided hiking poles and raincoats. Their shuttle service, from station transfers to drop-offs at the scenic area cable car, was incredibly attentive and thorough. The meals were high-quality and delicious, and the coffee on the ground floor is highly recommended. The hotel boasts absolutely stunning views! Should I return to Huangshan, Shui Song Shi Shan Fang Hotel will undoubtedly be my top choice!

We were a group of 8 people and had an unforgettable stay here. The hotel owner is one of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly, gave us great local recommendations, and even personally drove us to each destination!
On the day we went hiking in the mountains, he provided us with free walking sticks. He helped us with everything — arranging transfers, buying entrance tickets, and planning the route. He also allowed us to check in early and check out late, which was incredibly convenient.
I shared room 8303 with my friend. The room is designed for two people and had two separate beds, both very comfortable to sleep in. There was also an air conditioner in the room, which made our stay even more pleasant.
Another thing we’re super grateful for — the owner kindly let us do laundry. After hiking in the mountains, our clothes definitely needed it!
The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, full of natural light, and have plenty of power outlets. The showers were great, with clean water and convenient showerheads. There were all the necessary toiletries: body soap, shampoo — we recommend bringing your own conditioner if needed.
The hotel can also prepare food for guests. We really enjoyed the tomato and egg noodles — delicious and homey.
There’s also a local café nearby where we had breakfast a few times.
The hotel is located in the mountains, perfectly positioned for visiting nearby attractions, waterfalls, hiking spots, and even riding quad bikes.
A tip: bring a good quality raincoat if you’re visiting during rainy weather!
The owner speaks basic English, and even though it wasn’t easy for him, he patiently explained everything to us in English with so much kindness and care. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable — even helped us search for a lost phone in the mountains!

She truly went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. She gave us perfect, detailed advice on the best spots to watch the famous Huangshan sunset and sunrise, which made all the difference. We got the most amazing photos thanks to her!
What touched us most was her genuine kindness and warmth. She even surprised us with a few small, thoughtful gifts during our stay! It felt less like we were at a hotel and more like we were visiting a friend.

Unlike most hotels within the village, this hotel has conserved the architecture of the exterior and interior of the over 300 years old structure. It is well maintained with modern amenities and a nice manicured garden filled with bonsai plants. The Chinese breakfast was simple and nice. The menu has a good range of beverages and the food was good at reasonable prices.
The room we stayed was small but cozy. It is within the main building and just outside the room there is a reading lounge. It was quiet and hardly used while we were there.

LLydiascapesMy stay in Tingquan Xiaoyuan has been absolutely delightful.
I booked a long stay here as a retreat and break from the work and it is exactly everything I need to unwind and recharge.
The guesthouse ran by a husband and wife team are so hospitable and go the extra mile to make sure my stay here is relaxing and I have everything I need to work and go about my day.
The room i am staying in is very brightly lighted with a desk for me to work. I have to say the bed is also very comfortable and I have been sleeping well every night.
The surrounding is so peaceful and tranquil, with gardens and flowers and mountain peaks in the distance. I am rather glad I am staying here in the valley instead of near the centre.
In terms of service, the boss is very helpful and responsive to my messages when we need to ask any question or require a pick up after the hikes. The lady boss is similarly extremely friendly, warm and kind and ensure my needs and well being is looked after every day. She cared for me like her own family.
I really appreciate them going the extra mile to help a foreigner like me who struggle with the language.
I would strongly recommend this lovely and cosy guesthouse to any local and foreigner who is looking for an amazing visit to Huangshan for a few days or up to a month. They will ensure you are well taken care of and your stay is absolutely delightful.

GGuest UserService: We had a stroke of luck and received a complimentary upgrade, moving from our originally booked Zone B to Zone A. Additionally, it was pouring rain on Mount Huangshan that afternoon, and we arrived at the hotel completely soaked. The butler was incredibly helpful, arranging a shoe dryer for us, and by the next morning, our shoes and socks were perfectly dry – a real lifesaver. The butler also provided comprehensive information, covering everything from hotel facilities and services to details about the next day's sunrise.
Facilities: This is a five-star hotel, and its facilities have a classic and well-maintained feel. The bathroom even featured a drying rack, which was incredibly convenient.
Environment: Located halfway up the mountain, the hotel offers a wonderfully quiet and serene environment. It's also conveniently close to the Danxia Peak sunrise viewing spot. What's more, guests might even get to witness the breathtaking 'sea of clouds' phenomenon right outside the hotel entrance.

Its location is incredibly convenient: Wenkouling Station is right outside the door, so even if you miss the last cable car down, a bus from the mountain base will drop you directly at the hotel entrance. After a strenuous descent, the hotel provides dining options where guests can enjoy a discount. And if you're too exhausted, there's an affordable massage service nearby. A handy tip: you can buy a walking stick from the supermarket next door for just 3 RMB, and it can be exchanged for a bottle of water after your hike! Ordering food delivery is super easy as well; you won't need to go downstairs to collect it because a robot delivers it directly to your room!
