Staying on top of Huangshan is a magical experience, and our stay at this hotel made it even better. The location is incredible for exploring the peaks, but the absolute highlight of our visit was the exceptional service from one of the staff members, 小敏. She truly went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. She gave us perfect, detailed advice on the best spots to watch the famous Huangshan sunset and sunrise, which made all the difference. We got the most amazing photos thanks to her! What touched us most was her genuine kindness and warmth. She even surprised us with a few small, thoughtful gifts during our stay! It felt less like we were at a hotel and more like we were visiting a friend. We are so grateful for her help. Thank you, 小敏, for making our adventure so special. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the mountain—the service is as stunning as the views!

Service: We had a stroke of luck and received a complimentary upgrade, moving from our originally booked Zone B to Zone A. Additionally, it was pouring rain on Mount Huangshan that afternoon, and we arrived at the hotel completely soaked. The butler was incredibly helpful, arranging a shoe dryer for us, and by the next morning, our shoes and socks were perfectly dry – a real lifesaver. The butler also provided comprehensive information, covering everything from hotel facilities and services to details about the next day's sunrise. Facilities: This is a five-star hotel, and its facilities have a classic and well-maintained feel. The bathroom even featured a drying rack, which was incredibly convenient. Environment: Located halfway up the mountain, the hotel offers a wonderfully quiet and serene environment. It's also conveniently close to the Danxia Peak sunrise viewing spot. What's more, guests might even get to witness the breathtaking 'sea of clouds' phenomenon right outside the hotel entrance.

What a surprise ! When you take the cable and walk along the hiking trails, reaching such a luxurious place was really strange and felt unreal ! The hotel is brand new (there are still some work done to complete the hotel, but it wasn’t a nuisance at all). The room was little bit small and I wished the window was bigger, but overall it was very comfortable with modern amenities. It was spotless. The food was , here too, surprisingly good and varied. The breakfast and dinner buffet were very decent, especially when all the supplies reach the hotel through the incredible efforts of these amazing porters we see all around the scenic area. The staff was lovely, may be a bit unprofessional at times (the hotel opened recently and I guess all these young persons are still learning the ropes), but their smiles and enthusiasm were highly infectious. Overall ; a fantastic place to stay, out of this world. A bit pricey but worth every penny.

This stay has completely reset my benchmark for domestic accommodation in China; it's currently my absolute top pick. I'm not sure whether to categorize it as a hotel or a guesthouse, but frankly, it doesn't really matter. It's located directly opposite Beihai Hotel, next to Mo Bi Sheng Hua, and right beside the police station. You'll find a discreet wooden door, easily missed, down a hidden path. Once you step inside, it's like entering a whole different world. The entire property is designed like a quaint little village, with all rooms thoughtfully nestled on the mountainside. All buildings are beautifully renovated historical structures. I booked the 'Yun Yi' room, which comes with a private courtyard featuring a small soaking tub. After a day of hiking, soaking in the tub to soothe tired muscles, with the stars and moon as your companions above, was simply wonderful. From the moment you book, you won't have to worry about how to get up the mountain or how to explore; your dedicated butler will arrange everything. They offer VIP access to the mountain: a driver will pick you up from your location at the foot of the mountain at the appointed time and take you directly to the cable car station, where you'll use the VIP lane to board without any wait. You won't have to concern yourself with the crowds at the South Gate or the queues for the cable car – none of that affects you. We visited on a Saturday during the summer holidays. The driver picked us up at 7:30 AM, and we genuinely arrived at Yunjia before 9 AM. You get the picture? While the room amenities and finishes might not rival the luxurious villas of Banyan Tree, Aman, or Six Senses, it's important to remember that the property is located within a scenic area, meaning construction and footprint are restricted. Moreover, every single item has to be carried up the mountain by porters from the foot of the mountain. However, the service here is absolutely exceptional – truly top-tier. It's not just one or two staff members who provide excellent service; it's the entire team. Their service is entirely proactive; guests barely need to voice a request as the staff anticipate your needs before you even think of them. This level of intuitive and attentive service is genuinely rare and incredibly difficult to achieve. Given that Yunjia's rooms are almost always fully booked during the summer, it's clear that the price isn't the issue when it's truly worth every penny. I will absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Huangshan. Thank you, Yunjia, for an unparalleled and truly exceptional accommodation experience.

Room is cozy with everything you need. Better to stay overnight in mountain if affordable. Two days one night is a better itinerary for the tough walking trails. The room price is 3-4 times higher than the foot of the mountain. Good breakfast with reasonable spread of food. Near the sunrise spot. We started from Yungu cableway at 7am on day one, travel around the area and checked in the hotel. We woke up for the sunrise at 4:30 am. After breakfast and shower, we started our day two… quite tough for people not used to walk for a day ＞10 km with thousands of stairways…. 😅 we went down Yuping cableway around 4pm. We cover all the HungShan highlighted spots and very happy due to low peak travel season in China, less crowds. 😎

This is by far the most satisfying hotel I've ever stayed at. **Facilities:** The most remarkable feature is the hotel's powerful ventilation system. While other facilities were also excellent (and expected given the price point), even in our relatively compact room, after my kids enjoyed instant noodles and a hot pot, and all four of us dried our rain-soaked shoes, there was absolutely no lingering odor. **Service:** I truly appreciated the warm, yet professional service from every single staff member. The laundry and drying service, in particular, was a lifesaver in Huangshan's unpredictable weather, making it incredibly valuable. The hotel package also included mountain entrance and cable car tickets, which, despite the slightly higher price, made the overall stay feel like excellent value considering these bundled services. When we ordered wine, the server thoughtfully brought complimentary snacks. If there was one minor imperfection, it would be that some of the power outlets in the room were a bit loose, causing plugs to sometimes wiggle.

Shilin Hotel | An unexpectedly delightful stay, absolutely five-star worthy! We chose this hotel for our family trip and were amazed by the incredibly thoughtful service! Our butler was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful, not only guiding us to watch the sunrise and sunset but also lending us down jackets for free – truly considerate! In the evening, there was a complimentary performance with a wonderful atmosphere. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, and surprisingly, there was no extra charge for breakfast even with an added bed. The value for money is truly excellent! The luckiest part was encountering a breathtaking sea of clouds at sunrise on our second morning! We captured some truly stunning moments – we couldn't have been luckier!

The location is super convenient; you can step right out to watch the sunrise, sunset, and sea of clouds. The hotel was very thoughtful; in addition to the standard bottled water, they also provided cookies, fruits, and warm jackets. The hotel is expensive, and things on the mountain are generally pricey, but I completely understand why. During our visit, we saw many porters carrying vegetables, fruits, and daily necessities up the mountain, and hauling large bags of trash down – it's truly tough work. Overall, I'm very satisfied with Guangmingding Mountain Villa and highly recommend it!

The location is absolutely unparalleled, right within the scenic area. Step outside, and you're greeted by the famous Guest-Greeting Pine (Yingkesong). Behind the hotel, you have an expansive view of the East Sea, making it the closest spot for sunrise viewing, all without the need for strenuous hiking up and down. The hotel thoughtfully provided dinner, which was quite delicious. Their mini hotpot was a delightful surprise; I never expected to enjoy such a comforting and warm hotpot up in the mountains. The small tea room at the back, overlooking the breathtaking scenery, is also a beautiful spot to unwind, whether you're waiting for someone or simply lost in thought. But my absolute favorite was sitting by the room's window, sipping tea, reading a book, listening to music, and simply soaking in the view. It was utterly sublime.

The first time I have such a desire to evaluate, the hygiene is really bad! I won't complain about hardware decoration, but the focus is on hygiene! Even in a homestay, shouldn't bedding hygiene be the most basic? The sheets and quilts have hair! It also looks dirty, although there is no smell, but I feel itchy all day long!
