Hyatt Place Herndon Dulles East

One of the elevators was broken and the stairs would not go to first floor. The host, gave us a the wrong room first, than literally "force persuaded" us but in polite way to move to our original room. We stayed there one night before our flight from Dulles, so that was no big deal. One more thing about the parking jurisdictions. So, there's a shared parking lot around the hotel, shared by two other facilities. They show you a map, which does not match the signs in the parking lot. So, be careful which one to follow and always confirm with the hotel host.

First off, the staff was exceptional. Very friendly and professional. The room was sufficient and clean, bed very comfortable. The hotel amenities are adequate and could be better.. No bottled water in the room. Decrepit coffee maker which had 1 regular coffee and 1 decaf, so not enough for 2 people. The gym was decent and breakfast had the standard American breakfast mix although the eggs were terribly dry. Overall a B-. not the best but had some very bright spots (the staff).

Paid for the hotel thru trip app and the hotel charged me again. Hotel administrative process is bad. Will not come back here again. Promised to hold and not charge as I had already paid but still charge me upon check out. Glad that Trip help to refund me the amount that I had double charged. Pending trip on the refund.

Such a nice hotel! The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was delicious. I appreciated the free shuttle to the airport.
