We arrived back from this hotel yesterday. We spent a lovely week in the perfectly manicured grounds. For the positives, we were welcomed and escorted to our room and were picked up at check out. This hotel is very clean and well maintained. The location is lovely and quiet and the snorkelling off the pier is amazing. For around £3, you can use a snorkel and life jacket if needed. The BBQ area outside the main buffet is very good and the royal restaurant was very nice with exceptional service. The beach restaurant is perfectly placed with lovely views and attentive staff. Now to the negatives, some of the staff were a little rude, especially reception and the buffet area. We arrived late and had to ask several times for food as we were hungry, eventually we were given some bread and cheese and meat. The food could have been better and there wasn't too much to do in the evenings. It could get loud with people and music at night. The rooms are a bit outdated, but perfectly functional and spotlessly clean. You do get asked a lot around the pool and hotel for extra products, excursions, activities. Be firm if you don't want to, or they will keep asking. However, I would say they are only trying to make some money and do their jobs and it is so worth taking part in what they have to offer. We did snorkelling, scuba diving and brought the photos and were really happy we did. We did go to Hurghada, however the shops at the hotel are just as reasonable and they assisted us after we were sold sun cream that wasn't stamped, which we didn't know, so caused us to be burned. All in all we had a very nice holiday and would stay here again. I would advise to take dollars for tips, although they do not pester you here, they do work hard and you do get better service if you do tip.
