Hotels near Galerie Maier in Innsbruck

The Alphotel Innsbruck is probably the worst hotel we've ever stayed at! But we had no choice since we were on a tour package and this was the hotel that Gate1 chose for our itinerary. We weren't the only tour members who did not have a good stay at this hotel. Our tour group had a long day and we were scheduled to arrive late so we were all pretty tired when we arrived. Unfortunately the room we were assigned to didn't even look or feel exceptionally clean and I'm surprised I didn't take photos of the room! Comparing posted photos of the rooms on TA our room looked much older and didn't even have a real chair, but only one of those small round ottomans. And that ottoman was dirty and stained, so we didn't want to sit on that! The bedspread had that ”ick” factor, so we removed it but at least the sheets were clean. Carpet looked grungy so we made sure to wear our slippers and not walk barefoot on it. Regret not taking pictures of the room now. We've stayed at hotels with older or ”tired” decor but they were at least neat and clean, but not at this hotel! Now the ”fun” part was our bathroom door. I was getting ready to take a shower and went into the bathroom, but wanted to use my own soap and toiletries, so I went out of the bathroom and my husband (who was standing in front of the bathroom, looking at the closet or something right across from the bathroom) shut the opaque glass bathroom door. I went back to the bathroom and tried to open the door and it was locked! It was one of those simple privacy type locks where there's usually a pinhole that you can usually press and it'll pop open. Unfortunately, there was no pinhole but a screw so I tried twisting the screw but the door remained locked. Husband tried but it kept turning and he didn't have any tools so he called the front desk and they sent the maintenance guy up. The maintenance guy looked at the door and tried twisting the screw with the same results and said he needed to go get his tools. He returned with his small toolbox and tried several screwdrivers, with no luck. Then he tried using a small drill to remove the screw and still couldn't get the door unlocked. Meanwhile, we were sitting on the bed and watching tv since there was nothing else we could do. I texted our friends who were also traveling in the tour group and assigned to the room right next door to let them know what was happening. And to apologize to them for the loud racket, as the maintenance guy went and got his large power drill and was basically removing the entire door knob and panel. So the guy had to destroy the whole door knob panel because the door lock screw or nut inside the panel was probably stripped and couldn't unlock or open the door; so if I was on the other side of the door I would have been stuck in the bathroom! We booked a Panorama Deluxe room for 3 nights, checking in on Sept. 20th. The property is centrally located along the train station and features a parking directly connected by elevator. The “piece de resistance” of this tall building is clearly its stunning view on the town and surrounding mountains. We were lodged in room 1104 on the 11.th floor which is the top floor featuring rooms, as the 12th accommodates the lounge/restaurant where breakfast is also served. Curiously, the hotel doesn’t have a lobby in a traditional sense: the concierge & cashier counter can be found in a small separate office on the basement and the elevators to the rooms are located in a small hall, across a glass door, which opens directly on Brunecker Street. Access security to the floors being managed by room key-card, you can enter/exit the property and the parking with no contact to any staff at all. Our room was a corner one, rather large, beautifully architected and nicely furnished in a contemporary metropolitan style. From virtually any point of the room (bathroom included) it was possible to spot some additional detail of the stunning panorama. The room was comfortable and quiet (in spite of the near busy train station), breakfast was good and we definitively had a very good time here in Innsbruck.

we were only spending one night in Innsbruck, so a hotel made more sense. Highly rated on Hotels.com, we chose this one. It is definitely more trendy/hipster vibe, with multiple pillow options and alternative air conditioning. The thing that might throw some folks is the all-glass, see-through bathroom. We had encountered something like this several years ago had a hotel in Copenhagen. Both the shower and toilet are glass-enclosed, with a sliding door shared between them. When the door is closed to the toilet, a frosted section of the glass is appropriately placed so that some modicum of discretion is retained. However, the head and feet are plainly visible, and the last thing you want to see after breakfast is your significant others face while they are straining on a painful deuce. The shower, on the other hand, has no discreetly placed frosting anywhere, so you get to see the whole fruit basket…as it were. After looking at pictures on the TripAdvisor page for the hotel, it appears that not all the rooms have this interesting see-through toilet/shower combo. If this kind of thing bothers you, make sure to request a room that works better for you. That being said, both toilet and shower work fine, although the shower is only partially enclosed by a partition wall, leading to a very wet bathroom floor. The bed was quite comfy as well. A very good buffet breakfast was available at a decent price. We were able to park less than a block away in a private lot for a reasonable fee. All in all, a very good stay and we enjoyed our cells. It was sooo disappointing! To think that you were arriving at a respectable accommodation to find that they did not even have bell service. We arrived with our luggage and there was no one to help with it, our car service fortunately helped out, and then it was further downward from there. Every single item of request was a disappointment! Everything was answered with ”we simply do not have people to do the required service!” Not something one wants to hear while on vacation, paying full fee for a supposedly established place to stay.

Hotel Goldener Engl is situated in the centre of Hall in Tirol, a beautiful historical town surrounded by majestic mountains of the Alps in the vicinity of Innsbruck - just 10 minutes ride with S-Bahn. The building of the hotel is a historical castle and is a member of historic hotels of Europe. I was greeted by a very welcoming, friendly, kind, helpful and professional staff. The check-in process was very quick and smooth also thanks to an option to fill in the information online, prior to arrival. I was lucky enough to get the best suite in the hotel which was a beautiful, spacious, attic rustic room equipped with a big relaxing bath tube as well es a sauna directly in the room, separated toilet and a bathroom, comfortable bed and soundproof wall isolation. I was on a business trip and found it very relaxing hearing the raindrops on the attic windows in a pleasantly heated room and having a possibility of using a private sauna after a tiring day. This room is like your energizing oasis relaxing and refreshing your mind, body and soul. After a good sleep in a big and comfortable bed I enjoyed a tasteful tirol breakfast with individual serving and plentiful choice keeping me satiated until the afternoon. The public transport connections are very good, easy and punctual. The hotel has its own very good restaurant but there are good restaurants within a walking distance from the hotel too. The centre of Hall in Tirol is a small historic and picturesque one with winding streets and traditional small handicraft shops. I travelled to Hall in Tirol in the middle of November and my experience was exceptional. I felt like a queen in my unique hotel room and after my three night stay I did not really want to check out. :-) It surely was one of the best and unforgettable hotel stays I experienced until now and I will be very happy to come back again. Perfect location. East walking to the coolest town along our European journey. Room was basic, clean and very comfy beds. We enjoyed the sauna room in the evening. Only suggestion is to have coffee in the rooms or at least in the lobby free of charge for guests.

The hotel is well accessible just east of the city centre. In 15 minutes you will walk from the hotel to the city centre. There is a hotel parking place you should book before arrival. It is about 50m from the hotel. You can first keep your baggage login and loading right in front of the hotel. The rooms are modernly spacious and creatively furnished. All possible kitchen utensils are available in the kitchen line, free drinking water, espresso machine. The bed is good. The service is excellent. Whatever there is, you can see on the site. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Check-in is also possible without problem after closing the reception (19:00). All information about this is received by email and when is called before and again informed how it is going. It is very simple. Unfortunately we were only two nights on a trip to Italy. When we come back to Innsbruck, we'll stay here again. Then we'll like to stay longer.

As a single traveler a large double bedroom available! Twilight in equipment, everything very clean. Personal friendly and perceptible good operating climate by hearty owners. Seeing and recommending the home-own brennery with excellent distillates. Bus stops in front of the house door, very good connection in all directions, e.g. about 20 minutes after Innsbruck

We stayed in the hotel for 2 days and the restaurant convinced us to spend a night extra. The hotel itself is very nice with glass and wood, really ”authentic”. The comfortable room with wood and a very sympathetic disguised style. The big weak point is the bathroom, which in turn the deep side becomes deteriorating. The hotel was very clean and the toilets are very low and the shower is very close ... but it's done well..Conclusion: Hotel that looks out of time, hot staff and family atmosphere, really very pleasant restaurant with very good and exquisite Austrian dishes, even with a baby
