Wild Dunes Resort - Vacation Rentals

The location of our unit was amazing! Right off the water with a perfect view of the ocean. The unit itself was a bit out dated and some of the windows didnt work to open. For the price point that was disappointing. The deck can comfortably sit 4 people with a view that is facing the ocean. The resort itself looked like it would be fun during the normal tourist season with lots of things to do. Be prepared to pay though because not being a "Member" of the community they charge you for everything. We had to pay over $60 to use the pickle ball court with no one else on any courts. That was at a discount too, they said it would usually be $80. That seems a little excessive if your already paying to stay on the property. The resort had a few restaurants and ahops on site but most were closed off season. They as well come with a price tag a normal egg and meat breakfast will run you over $20 a person and that's the starting point. There was a coffee shop and little store that was open. Prices were a little inflated but not to bad for being within walking distance. Coffee will run you about the same as a Starbucks. All said it was a really good experience for our first visit to Charleston but may look for a place that has a smaller price tag bang isint quite worth the buck in my opinion.

The condo was fine and fully functional. There was no prior communication or forewarning about the renovation construction next door. Work began at 7:30-7:45 a.m. with sandblasters and what sounded like impact wrenches. At least disclose and let your guests consider options.

My daughter and I had an excellent day once we got to our room. The people at the gate could not seem to get me the correct directions or location to where I was staying the first two times. The attention at the guard gates, to detail, is lacking. It took us four trips to get the right location to our room and the correct code to enter.

The Wild Dunes resort hotels were beautiful. Customer service was excellent. The condo pool was clean and well kept. When booking it was not made clear how far the rentals were from the resort. Also Summer House 408 just okay for the price. Some of the appliances were ancient, VHS tapes….need I say more. Enough toiletries for only one day for a week long rental. No beach towels. Chipped old front door does not give a good first impression. Will go back to Wild Dunes for sure, but not Summerhouse 408.

Everything in our beachfront condo was very good. It was very comfortable and everything g worked well. The kitchen floor could have used a serious cleaning. Overall very nice place. The view was exceptional. We would definitely go back

The property itself was under construction. The condo was in poor condition. We booked a 2 room condo with one king and 2 twins. The 2 twins were a queen. The shower doors wouldn’t close in either bathroom which caused water to get everywhere. Also, the toilet in the master wouldn’t flush Which caused us to only be able to use one toilet for five people for the entirety of the trip. The washer and dryer was on its last leg and the door to the laundry area was hanging off with bent hinges. Also, there was no towel service despite the hotel, stating that they had towels to access. If they did, it was near the front gate which was extremely inconvenient considering we were on the far end of the property. There were very limited dining options in the closest dining option to us only serve breakfast and lunch, overall I was very disappointed especially for how much we paid. I would definitely trust any of the negative opinions or reviews.

We love it here. I don’t know who is in charge of the condos but ours was very limited in dishes. Just 2 bowls and nothing like salt and pepper even. We have never stayed any place that didn’t have at least that. Otherwise this is our favorite vacation and with the new pools since we have been here and the activities it was so fun.
