Popular Istanbul 4-star Hotels

We have stayed in Erboy hotel for 8 nights. In overall it was a really pleasant stay. I will just highlight what we liked and what we did not like or there is a room for improvement. Good: - Fresh and clean room. More of a smaller size but it has all you need. - Helpful and polite staff - Really great location, everything you need is in the walking distance. Don't be lazy and walk around =) - OK soundproofing, good with outside noise and ”ordinary” with inside noise. Not so good: - Our room was on the 6th floor and there is a terrace on the 7th floor, working until 23. That means that you will hear chairs ”squeaking”. - For some reason short beds - Breakfast was not great. Apart from the limited food selection I would point out really poor coffee. On our last day they have installed coffee machine which has powder coffee. We did not like filter coffee which was offered previous days but the one which came from this machine was just awful. @ Erboy, people have different tastes but if you will get more complaints I really suggest to invest in a good coffee machine.

The hotel we had two nights was a good design but there was a serious lighting problem. The room is very dark, and the room is very boring because the standard rooms look at the wall, and the lighting is not enough. You would be more happy if you prefer a city or sea view room instead of standard rooms. Breakfast was very good, you wouldn't be hungry, but it is not a perfect breakfast to enjoy. For example, the buckets are delicious but but butter and honey are not renewable. The staff approach is good and the problem is solved. The hotel is very good. The aerial is close to the square.

This hotel is one of the friendliest places we have ever stayed in. The location was great, the hotel was lovely and clean and the staff could not do enough to help. All of the staff were lovely from the reception staff to the chefs who cooked whatever we requested, even if it was not on the menu. A special mention to Turan, Muracettin and Nisa. You all made our trip to Istanbul very special and we wish you all the best.

This hotel is in the perfect location in Sultanahmet. We could see The Hagia Sofia from our window and it was about a 10 minute walk away to that and the Blue mosque. We were able to walk to Galata Tower also which was a good 30 minute walk but we go to see so much on the way. The rook was lovely and clean. I purchased both the romance package as it was our wedding anniversary and also the birthday package for my husband and I am so glad I did as it made it extra special. We got there very early in the day and our luggage was stored for us until our room was ready. All of the staff were so friendly. From the reception and concierge, restaurant staff and cleaners everyone was ready to help. Room service was a great addition. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and shampoos/shower gel/soap etc in the bathroom. The area round the hotel is lovely with cobbled streets and lots of shops and restaurants about. Breakfast was fantastic, so much choice and it was delicious. If we come back to Istanbul, this is where we will stay. Thank you to all the staff at Yasmak Sultan.

Our stay at the hotel had some positive instances and unfortunately more negative occurrences. Positive - hotel staff (bellman and some of the front counter staff were very helpful going above and beyond to assist with our luggage and unloading/loading our rental car) plus the location was super convenient. The older 2 bellmen at the hotel were very accommodating and always tried to correct any issues we had. Negative - some of the front counter staff were confirmed liars telling me there were no rooms in the hotel with balconies (we were finally assigned a balcony room) on another occasion I had to ask three times for our room to be cleaned as the maid service never cleaned our room one day. Also one of the A/C units in the room next to the bed could not be turned off and only blew hot air. The hotel resolution was for us to run the other unit and leave the door to the balcony open. BTW my husband had 8 hour surgery that day and this made his night's sleep very uncomfortable due to the heat. There was broken glass in the carpet in our room which I cut my toe on. When I told the front desk, they did nothing about it or even apologized. The Terrace Restaurant manager is completely ”disingenuous” and very money hungry. He kept pushing a bottle of water on me at dinner which I refused and then insisted on adding the price of the water to my bill. I explained I did not want the water as I was drinking wine and have free bottles of water in my room. After I adjusted the bill myself, he finally agreed to remove the charge. I found him to be VERY fake in all times I saw him in the hotel.

The location is perfect. The hotel's garden is very nice. I did not like the cleanliness and neatness of some ladies. People coming from outside should not be served alcohol in the garden at night. We were very disturbed by this issue.

The reception area is congested with luggage bags. The quad room window faces a brick wall half metre away, room is dark and feels claustrophobic. The breakfast is nothing to compliment about, restaurant staff are is rush to clear up. Reception staff were helpful.

I enjoyed staying in this hotel. Pluses: - comfortable big rooms; - perfect location - next to Istiklal famous street and Taksim square is just 10 minutes walk; a lot of restaurants, shops around; 5 minutes walk to Galata tower; - very good service; - ok breakfast (selection could be better) - but service is amazing. Attentive and fast. Special thanks to Eren - surprised with very good service. Please keep him. - 18th floor have amazing restaurant with city view; - ok small gym; - nice outdoor pool. Minuses: - amenties sometimes have some issues - like windows lockers, lights. Before rooms are given to clients - would recommend to check. In general would recommend and i would be back.

We arrived at the hotel in NG for vacation. In Istanbul 1 time. Residents are fast, room on the 2nd floor. For two places enough if more people are close. Insufficient room lighting, no sound isolation, you hear just everything neighbors say. Not quite comfortable bed as if sold out. Inconvenient location of rosetates. In the bathroom, a fan, a piece of soap and gel in the dosage, neither shampoo nor air conditioner. The recipe replied : all in one bottle, but issued tooth sets. The coats were brought on request, the shoes are. Wifi catches well everywhere. There is no teapot in the room. Breakfast is one and the same, but quite eatable. Coffee is only disgusting. But the restaurant view on Bosphorus is chic on one side. It is not quite convenient to go to the tram and go not on the most convenient road, narrow and still cars, you go into the walls at times. Beyond the trading rows and cafes . But you can eat anywhere in the district, everywhere delicious and atmospheric. There were several times you couldn't find a way to the hotel for the first time . Oh these Istanbul streets with a bunch of branches. The most terrible disappointment in the hotel was the NG dinner, never take it there. For two, about 12 thousand, no food, the waiter brought to a piece of some unpleasant food and put it in the plates. No Swedish table, at the end only fruits were set , could be dipped yourself. Alcohol was poured . Champagne was opened only at 12 nights on the terrace , in plastic glasses . Small fireworks. A little music , some couples danced and everything. No show, belly dance, or other entertainment. If you knew, would have gone better to any nearby cafe, the day before they called everywhere . And finally transfer to the airport, took 3 hours before departure. Guid said there were traffic jams, but they were always there. As a result, they barely managed to fly, fled in a jump, the Last Warning was already burning on the board. The transfer to the hotel is certainly not related, just so happens.

Our stay was really pleasant and nice. The location of the hotel is great! Really close to all of the monuments, the city centre and good restaurants. You have everything you need on the same street. The staff is always friendly! At the reception Selim was really welcoming and helpful and also the guys at the breakfast service Mehmet and Yalain :) ( I hope I wrote the names right) The cleaning service also really good! At general a lovely stay for our first time in Istanbul.
