You know that person who was your first love, and then you meet them years later and think ***? Welcome to the Juffair Grand! I have had some fantastic times in the past at the Juffair Grand but being back this weekend reminds me of the adage of not trying to capture old times. Clearly, no money has been spent updating rooms for years and possibly on cleaning (see photos). The old sports bar has been replaced by a 'Thai Lounge'. Fantastic looking menu, but then you need to decide if you are happy eating in a disco? Don't get me wrong, if you are here for a quick weekend away and the room is just for sleeping then, apart from the inevitabl Juffair beat to contend with then it is OK. Rooms are ok and you are right in the hub of Juffair nightlife. To the management, just think of spending some money- decoration, new tv's, plugs near the bed!

I like the accommodations. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect for me. There were lots of places to choose from to eat, walk to, and very close walk to the navy base.

I like the price! Also there are restaurants, spas, stores and ATMs in walking distance. The club (Wranglers) was connected to the hotel. Security atbthe club was good also. The hotel staff was very professional and friendly.
The hotel needs a remodel. Horrible TV and channels, old furniture, old bathrooms and old smell. The best thing about the room was Big mattress(not high quality) with good pillows👍👍. But at the end of the day.... you get what you pay for. For that price I'd stay again for 3 days max!

This stay was not a pleasant one from the start. Front Desk Clerk tried to put me in a room right over top of the club again. Last time he tried putting me in the same room. That time no lights were on that floor. I had to go to my room with my cell phone light. So after i came back downstairs to argue about this room, they decided to upgrade me to another room. The upgraded room was not in good shape. I stayed there 1 night and ask to be moved in the morning. Now im in my 3rd room, and the ac is not working well. I asked 3 times to get it fixed to no prevail and also there was no hot water. I just decided to deal with it because i refused to move again. Usually a manager named Sarah is very helpful and makes sure everything is good but when she is not there are usually issues. Also i did want to compliment the new manager there because he was helpful and tried to resolve my issues. Location of hotel is great but the service and rooms are going down.

My check in was bad. The desk person that night put me on a floor where no one stayed. The lights on the floor were off and i actuallyhad to use my phone light to sse down the hall. I was the only one on the floor and he put me on top of club so music was loud . I went back and complained then he switched me to a new floor. I stayed at this hotel everytime but beginning of my stay this time was horrible.

I was first put in a smoking room on the sixth floor which the front desk claimed was non-smoking. It wasn't. When I asked to be moved they DID move me to a true non-smoking room on the top floor. There is a very loud disco on the first floor that stays open late, so if you stay here--and the eighth floor room was ok--make sure you stay as high up as possible. The hotel is showing its age. The lobby is somewhat dark, services are few, and I didn't see any breakfast, though they may have it on another floor. The hotel is in a fairly good location, with restaurants a couple of blocks away in two directions. Saudi men in search of the "fun" that the island provides often stay here on weekends.
