Hotel Rosso Karuizawa

This hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from Karuizawa Station, and the staff are incredibly friendly and kind! While the breakfast selection isn't huge, everything tastes great, and they change up the menu daily so you don't get bored. Plus, there's a lovely happy hour from 3 PM to 9 PM where you can enjoy complimentary cookies and drinks at the restaurant – a really thoughtful touch! 🥰 Although Kumoba Pond and Old Karuizawa are a bit further, they're still within walking distance. Considering the price and location, it's a hotel with excellent value for money. Highly recommend! ❤️

The hotel isn't too far from Karuizawa Station, about a 10-minute walk. A taxi ride is a 700 yen minimum fare. We booked a 22 sqm twin room, which had enough space for one 28-inch suitcase. The breakfast was quite simple, but it did vary a bit over the two days we were there. Some reviews mentioned a shuttle bus to Prince Shopping Plaza, but that's only available in winter, not in summer. There's a convenience store right outside the hotel, but I don't recall seeing any other dining options nearby.

The room was quite spacious with a window, and the bathroom was suitable for older guests. It's surrounded by forest villas, which are lovely to explore. It's about a ten-minute walk from the station, and there's a shortcut to Prince Outlet, making it conveniently close. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and responsible. Although the breakfast didn't have a huge variety, it was satisfying even after eating it for four days straight. The bread made with natural sourdough and local wheat was delicious. The gentleman in the restaurant was very dedicated, constantly wiping tables and arranging dishes.

This is a great hotel, conveniently located about a 5-6 minute walk from Karuizawa JR Station. There's also a convenience store right outside the hotel, and it's very quiet. The rooms are quite spacious, the bed is comfortable, and the front desk staff speak excellent English.

The hotel is conveniently located near the JR station. It's not large, but it's well-equipped, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Even without speaking Japanese or English, communication wasn't an issue. The cleanliness is also very good. It's a great base for getting around, with attractions within walking distance. Plus, the nearby supermarket has discounts on sashimi and set meals after 6 PM, which is a fantastic deal.

Karuizawa is a lovely place, but this hotel... I'm not sure what to say, it just wasn't good! I won't be staying here again. The room smelled terrible!

Exceeded my expectations, very satisfied. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from the station, and there's a Lawson convenience store right in front of the hotel, which is super convenient for grabbing food. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room, for Japan, was quite spacious and very clean. I would definitely choose this place again next time!
