Castle Lodge

Top floor room was so hot that even my phone paused charging because of the heat. Opening the windows was no help. Asked for a fan. Was told if i wanted a fan or a/c i should have stayed somewhere else. Sleeping with windows open you hear all the street noise and party goers. Tried sleeping with a wet towel on me the second night. So if its warm outside insist on a bottom floor room or go somewhere else. The breakfast was lovely though.

After my simplified check in, I knew immediately I was giving this establishment a 5* when I saw my amazing room. I’m a regular visitor to Killarney and did stay here at this location in 2010 but thankfully my work put me up here. Not only were the staff lovely, kind and attentive (more so at breakfast), the location was so handy. I did struggle to get onto the Wi-Fi but that got sorted soon enough. I didn’t check the tv out to see if it worked but everything else was ideal. Tea/coffee making facilities, super organised and well laid out toilet, USBs on the plugs and to top it off, a super cozy bed. Looking forward to my next trip already. As a footnote, the water at reception for people to be able to get a glass the moment they walk in is perfect. You don’t know everyone’s background or how their day was so to be well positioned to give them just something small is also something so meaningful.

This is a very well run guest house hotel which is located in an absolutely perfect spot. At the junction of Muckross Road and Ross Road so you are 5 minutes walk from Main Street Killarney, 10 mins walk to Killarney racecourse / Celtic steps show and across the road from Killarney national park! My room was a good size and the shower and bathroom were more than satisfactory. Breakfast included too and loads of parking. Very happy with everything

Top marks across the board. Reasonably prices, lovely staff, immaculately clean accommodation, comfy beds, great breakfast & Lovely family atmosphere in the Castle Lodge Guest house. ..better than many hotels I've been to. I will be back at every available opportunity!! Helen from Limerick.

We spent one night at this property as a group of 9. The parking was fantastic, plenty of room and plenty of it. The rooms were lovely and cosy with everything we needed. They were clean and well maintained. The breakfast room was lovely and cheery as was the breakfast on offer. It was well located within walking distance to the shops and pubs and was easy to get to.

Rooms great, reception staff lovely, but at breakfast there was 1 particular woman I won't say "lady" who was very aggressive and rude, she had a major problem with everyone, and practically chased us out of the dinning room after slamming plates around, we both could even hear her from the kitchen disrespecting guests, very poor for such a nice place

Super stay - newly decorated rooms - comfy beds and pillows - smart tv - 5 min walk to main st Killarney - on muchross rd - lovely staff at reception and breakfast I stayed here for two nights and I would highly recommend the property. It was extremely comfortable and the rooms were super modern. The location was super close walk to the main street. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Killarney.

Great location at the top of the Muckross Road and two minutes walk into town. The breakfast was burned and actually wasn't able to eat it. Not a great choice for Breakfast too. The room was big and very clean. Was able to hear a little road noise. Nice to have netflix on TV. The bathroom was very big and the bath was so nice.
