Paid just over a thousand for a lake-view room, and honestly, this is the worst hotel I've stayed in for this price point. My main issues are twofold: First, the breakfast selection was very limited, and the peanuts weren't even fresh – they actually served stale food! Second, there was a horrible mildew smell coming from the sink drain in the room, which was really off-putting. The only silver lining was that there's a duty-free shop right downstairs, which made shopping very convenient!

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel and cannot recommend it enough. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. The highlight of my stay was definitely the owner; she is incredibly kind and helpful. She went above and beyond to assist me in renting an electric scooter, which made exploring the area so much easier. The property was spotlessly clean, and the location is very convenient. There is a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, which was very handy. If you are looking for a great place to stay with top-notch service, this is it.

The room was tiny and the soundproofing was terrible. In the early hours of the morning on the day we checked in, a very noisy, drunk guest next door kept knocking on our door. Then someone else knocked again later. When we reported this to the front desk the next day, they said it was their staff knocking because they thought the noise was coming from our room and they were trying to tell us to be quiet... It was a really bad experience.

The room was very clean and tidy. The hygiene was excellent. The price was reasonable. It's a 10-minute drive from the city center. There's a Carrefour right next to the guesthouse, which is very convenient. Overall, it's excellent value for money and highly recommended for a trip to Kinmen. What I really want to mention is the owner's kindness. We changed our plans on the afternoon of the second day, so we couldn't book this guesthouse and booked another one. We left our luggage at the guesthouse and went out to explore during the day. We didn't return to retrieve our luggage until very late at night. When the owner heard we were coming back, he immediately came out to greet us. Since our electric scooter couldn't fit our large suitcases, and it started raining, he quickly tried to squeeze them in on his motorcycle, very kindly trying to find a solution for us. In the end, he managed to fit our suitcases in his motorcycle. He even carried our luggage in the rain to another guesthouse and then back in the rain himself. We were incredibly touched. Thank you for meeting such a kind person while traveling. 🙏 Otherwise, we wouldn't have known how to get our luggage back that night, as it's impossible to get a taxi at night. Wishing the owner great success in their business. Thank you for your help this evening; I'll definitely stay at your place again next time I'm in Kinmen. 👍

A beautiful, historic homestay near the port with excellent service. High-quality bedding and comfortable beds. Walking in and hearing Celine Dion made it even more quaint 😂 Jack was super helpful with information about the ferry tickets, and even made an extra trip back to the port because I Ieft my umbrella behind. And his mom was very kind and welcoming too. A note to those who may be sensitive: there was a faint musty smell, which I’ve found common to many hotels and guest houses in humid climates like Taiwan. Earplugs are recommended for light sleepers, since you can hear courtyard and street noise in the room. Plan ahead for cash: nearby restaurants are cash-only, and the nearest atm is at 7-11, about a 20 minute walk away.

Super cost-effective! Located in the city center, there are restaurants, convenience stores and supermarkets downstairs. The living space is large, and it is very comfortable for one person or three people. There is a small balcony. There is a refrigerator and two sinks. The hot water for bathing is very stable. The corridor looks like a school dormitory. I miss school. It is quiet and I didn't hear anyone passing by outside the house.

Very exquisite and warm homestay ～ The beautiful environment makes people feel happy. The service is also quite intimate. The plants in the homestay are carefully designed and planted by the boss himself. The breakfast provided is also quite exquisite and rich in local characteristics. A wonderful stay experience! I hope Chen Jiayuan will get better and better. I will choose to live here when I have the opportunity to go to Jinmen again! 🫰

The guesthouse owner provided impeccable all-inclusive service, warmly introducing the former battlefield and present-day Kinmen from the moment we picked them up from the airport. The scenery and local delicacies complemented each other perfectly. The guesthouse was clean and classically styled, preserving the characteristics of Fujian architecture. The landlady's delicious local breakfast was unforgettable. This nostalgic trip was also a heartwarming and memorable one.

The hotel's location is excellent, making transportation in and out very convenient. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the breakfast offers a great variety. The room was clean and comfortable. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip.

I have to say, Ah Bei was really hospitable. He treated us to Cantonese congee this morning and even drove us to the pier. There's a Carrefour and a Super Fresh supermarket right outside, super convenient. Next door are Jingcai steamed buns, Cosmed, croissants—all the good food is nearby. I bought a lot of beer to drink later, hehe.
