This is one of those hotels you just want to return to. Over six days, we never once felt like we were missing anything. On the contrary, every day we discovered something new, and we really didn't want to leave. The most striking impression was the level of service. They truly surround you with care from the moment you check in until you check out. It was incredibly convenient that we could communicate with staff via WhatsApp: we ordered room service, used the laundry, booked activities, and any question was resolved quickly. The Kids Club deserves a special mention. We loved the eco-friendly approach: the hotel has its own garden where children can walk around, plant and care for plants, make crafts from natural materials, and participate in various creative activities. The club itself is very clean, well-equipped, and the educators are incredibly kind and attentive. Besides that, there’s a real, small mini-zoo on the premises. Every day we went to see the animals: there are deer, goats, rabbits, birds, an otter, and other inhabitants. The deer impressed the children the most. You can also go fishing. The hotel grounds are incredibly beautiful. The pool with a jungle view is one of the most memorable spots, where we wanted to spend time every day. The food also left an excellent impression. Breakfasts were very diverse. A personal discovery for me was the coconut vegan yogurts – so delicious that I ate them every morning. And when we left in the middle of the night to catch the sunrise at Mount Batur, they thoughtfully prepared breakfast for us to take with us. Over the six days, we still didn't manage to try everything the hotel has to offer. There are so many activities for adults and children that you could easily spend your entire vacation here without hardly leaving the property. The only thing to consider is that the hotel is located not in the center of Ubud, but closer to Kintamani. For us, this was actually an advantage – it's quiet all around, with fresh air and a feeling of complete unity with nature. There's a free shuttle several times a day to the center, so getting there isn't difficult. Due to its elevated location, it's cooler here in the mornings and evenings than in Ubud itself, so I recommend bringing a light sweater.

I do love this resort so much😭❤️ This place perfectly got the vibe I was looking for in Bali. Thanks to the beautiful pool nestled in the jungle, the pleasant room conditions, and the friendly staff, my vacation was truly special and enjoyable. The private yoga class with Ms.Angga at Mantra pavilion made my day and it was a great experience for me🧘 She is so kind and enegetic❤️ I could feel that she really cared about me. And I really thank you for the delicious birthday cake😭❤️🎂 I really enjoyed it! The omelet at breakfast was good and since I had some time before heading to the airport after checking out, I had Pisa Goreng at the restaurant, which was really tasty🍌 100% recommend here!

The hotel is located in Ubud, close to the Monkey Forest. We booked it for one night since we arrived late in Bali (3 AM) and didn't see the point in staying at an expensive hotel in Ubud. However, we were pleasantly surprised: the staff was welcoming, everyone spoke excellent English, the room was clean, breakfast was good and tasty, there was a beautiful view from the window, and it was quiet. Breakfast is served on the 4th floor with lovely views of nature.

I just stayed for one night but I can say it was great even thought my short staying. I arrived at 4 am from airport and they received me super kindly. The bed was very comfortable and the space was convenient for solo or couple traveling. The room was clean as well. They have a pool and a coffee shop too. The staff was very polite. They helped me with my luggage in the check in and out. I truly recommend it.

I had a wonderful 4-night stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud. It is only about a 10-minute scooter ride to the main central street of Ubud, making it easy to reach the shops, restaurants. What truly made my stay special,was the staff. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The hotel’s concept, the stunning view, the intimate atmosphere, and both the interior and exterior—I loved it all. I’d like to give special mention to the staff’s friendliness and dedication. While some of the staff had limited English skills, they genuinely tried their best to help and answer all our questions. So I wouldn’t count that as a downside. Breakfast at the hotel is by menu; you can choose from several options. We tried toast with avocado and scrambled eggs, pancakes, an American breakfast, and Eggs Benedict—we really enjoyed all the food. Upon check-out, we were given a gift, which was very unexpected and pleasant. The staff was welcoming and pleasant. The hotel offers a shuttle service, but we arrived by rental car, and there was always a parking spot available at the hotel. A great hotel and wonderful people — I'm so glad we spent our holidays at this hotel.

🌴 A perfect place to slow down, recharge, and end our Bali trip on a beautiful note. Onyx was the perfect choice for the final day of our Bali trip. My friend and I have visited Bali several times, which also means that we no longer feel the need to stay in the busiest central areas. This time, what we really wanted was a quiet place where we could rest, slow down, and recharge before returning home. Onyx Spa Resort turned out to be exactly that. From the moment we arrived at reception, we were especially grateful for the warm welcome and thoughtful hospitality of every member of staff. We arrived earlier than the official check-in time as we wanted to enjoy the pool and spa facilities first, and the entire process, from storing our luggage to eventually checking into our room, was seamless. A special thank you to Peri, who kept us informed throughout and made sure everything was handled smoothly. The room itself was spotless, and we also appreciated being able to select and request the amenities we needed. We had no issues with noise, and the natural sunlight pouring into the room made the space feel fresh and uplifting. The bedding was also exceptionally well maintained, and we had a very comfortable night’s sleep. 🌱 Even during our short one-night stay, we managed to enjoy the pool and pool bar, smoothie bar, salad bar, Georgia Restaurant, Hutan Spa, and Onyx Spa. -The pool bar was a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy Bali’s beautiful weather, and both the food and service made it easy to spend a relaxed afternoon there. -The smoothies and salads were healthy yet genuinely delicious, and this was one of the moments when we really felt that Onyx is not simply a resort, but a place with a genuine wellness philosophy. If I return for a longer stay, I would happily start every morning with one of their smoothies. -Georgia Restaurant was another memorable part of our stay. Being able to enjoy shisha there created the perfect setting for a slow evening with my friend, talking through our memories from the trip. The flavour combination recommended by the shisha master was also excellent. -We are both big sauna lovers, so we especially enjoyed the sauna at Onyx Spa, together with the extremely, extremely cold plunge pool, which was surprisingly fun and incredibly refreshing. To finish the trip, I had a massage with Kadex at Hutan Spa, and it was easily the best massage I received during this visit to Bali. I left feeling completely refreshed, and it made the journey to the airport feel much lighter. Although we stayed for only one night, Onyx gave us exactly the sense of rest and recharge we had hoped for. We would absolutely love to return for a longer retreat-style stay in the future. Thanks to the bright smiles, warmth, and kindness of the entire team, we were able to return to everyday life feeling genuinely refreshed. For us, Onyx was one of the best possible ways to end a Bali trip. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable. One very personal thought: there are several large figurative paintings throughout the hotel and guest rooms. They are certainly striking, but I found myself imagining how beautifully the space might work with more abstract, calm, and contemporary artworks. I think that kind of visual language could complement Onyx’s refined wellness atmosphere even more beautifully.

This is a gorgeous hotel with an authentic Balinese style. It feels like you're living in an old house, with many beautiful details: carved wooden doors, paintings. We had a villa for four with a pool: two floors, with a bedroom, an open-air bathroom with a tub and shower, a closed living room, and pool access on the first floor. The second floor had a bedroom, a closed bathroom with a shower, and an open veranda. Each floor had a refrigerator and minibar. Some minibar items were free (Coke, Sprite), as were chips and fruit. Wine and sweet snacks were available for an extra charge. The beds were comfortable, and the linens and towels were clean. Mosquito repellent was provided, as were a hairdryer and clothes drying racks. Our pool was quite small, but I saw in hotel photos and glimpsed through dense foliage at our neighbors' villas that some pools were larger. Honestly, we didn't even have time to swim in ours. There are also two very beautiful public pools. Towels are provided at the pools. The grounds are lush with vegetation. The villa offered complete privacy; you are fully enclosed from the surroundings by walls and trees. All the staff were very polite, smiling, and remembered all guests by face. The à la carte breakfasts were superb! There were many options, about 30 (eggs Benedict, avocado toast, smoothie bowls, and much more). You could order several dishes. Everything was delicious. There's parking available. We had a rental car and there was always a spot; if not, the hotel staff would take our key and park it for us later. The hotel is quite close to Ubud center, about a 20-minute walk according to Google Maps. However, for most of the way, there are no sidewalks, and lighting is very poor at night. We ended up never walking. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Ubud Palace every 2 hours. It wasn't always convenient to adjust to this schedule, so we only used it once. Other evenings, we took a taxi to the center; the price was always the same: 56,500 IDR, regardless of traffic or final destination. It seems to be a fixed minimum price. The only downside: near our villa, there was a farm with chickens, and the roosters started crowing relentlessly from 5 AM. But earplugs were thoughtfully provided on the nightstand for this very reason!

It takes over 90 minutes to get there from the airport. The hotel offered transfers at double the price of what I found on apps or websites, so I didn't take them. The hotel is very well-organized and spacious, with each villa's area neatly arranged, and different tiers located in different sections. Regular cleaning and pool maintenance are provided. The restaurant food is good, and some people even come from outside just to eat there. The views are beautiful. It's a good option for a honeymoon. The pillows smelled terrible. I think it's either due to humidity not letting them dry or the chemicals they use, but all four pillows had an uncomfortably bad smell. The room lighting was very dim.
