🌴 A perfect place to slow down, recharge, and end our Bali trip on a beautiful note. Onyx was the perfect choice for the final day of our Bali trip. My friend and I have visited Bali several times, which also means that we no longer feel the need to stay in the busiest central areas. This time, what we really wanted was a quiet place where we could rest, slow down, and recharge before returning home. Onyx Spa Resort turned out to be exactly that. From the moment we arrived at reception, we were especially grateful for the warm welcome and thoughtful hospitality of every member of staff. We arrived earlier than the official check-in time as we wanted to enjoy the pool and spa facilities first, and the entire process, from storing our luggage to eventually checking into our room, was seamless. A special thank you to Peri, who kept us informed throughout and made sure everything was handled smoothly. The room itself was spotless, and we also appreciated being able to select and request the amenities we needed. We had no issues with noise, and the natural sunlight pouring into the room made the space feel fresh and uplifting. The bedding was also exceptionally well maintained, and we had a very comfortable night’s sleep. 🌱 Even during our short one-night stay, we managed to enjoy the pool and pool bar, smoothie bar, salad bar, Georgia Restaurant, Hutan Spa, and Onyx Spa. -The pool bar was a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy Bali’s beautiful weather, and both the food and service made it easy to spend a relaxed afternoon there. -The smoothies and salads were healthy yet genuinely delicious, and this was one of the moments when we really felt that Onyx is not simply a resort, but a place with a genuine wellness philosophy. If I return for a longer stay, I would happily start every morning with one of their smoothies. -Georgia Restaurant was another memorable part of our stay. Being able to enjoy shisha there created the perfect setting for a slow evening with my friend, talking through our memories from the trip. The flavour combination recommended by the shisha master was also excellent. -We are both big sauna lovers, so we especially enjoyed the sauna at Onyx Spa, together with the extremely, extremely cold plunge pool, which was surprisingly fun and incredibly refreshing. To finish the trip, I had a massage with Kadex at Hutan Spa, and it was easily the best massage I received during this visit to Bali. I left feeling completely refreshed, and it made the journey to the airport feel much lighter. Although we stayed for only one night, Onyx gave us exactly the sense of rest and recharge we had hoped for. We would absolutely love to return for a longer retreat-style stay in the future. Thanks to the bright smiles, warmth, and kindness of the entire team, we were able to return to everyday life feeling genuinely refreshed. For us, Onyx was one of the best possible ways to end a Bali trip. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable. One very personal thought: there are several large figurative paintings throughout the hotel and guest rooms. They are certainly striking, but I found myself imagining how beautifully the space might work with more abstract, calm, and contemporary artworks. I think that kind of visual language could complement Onyx’s refined wellness atmosphere even more beautifully.

I booked a 6-night stay at Villa Estella from September 28 to October 4, 2026. The villa itself is beautiful, well-equipped, and ideally located for a stay in Seminyak. The staff are also friendly, welcoming, and professional, as is often the case in Indonesia. Unfortunately, I can only give this property 2 stars because my stay was significantly affected by an issue that was never disclosed before my booking: major construction work was taking place in the villa directly next to mine. For all six days of my stay, construction workers arrived every morning around 8:30–9:00 a.m. and continued working until approximately 5:30–6:00 p.m. Beyond the constant movement of workers, conversations, and music from the construction site, I had to endure hammering against the wall of my bedroom, drilling, material cutting, and various other loud construction noises throughout the day. In addition, dust and construction debris regularly settled on my terrace, outdoor furniture, and around the pool area. Whether inside or outside the villa, the noise level was simply incompatible with a relaxing holiday. I specifically chose this villa because it was located away from the busier parts of Seminyak and because I wanted to enjoy the private pool. Since Seminyak’s beaches are often difficult to enjoy for swimming due to the waves, I expected to spend time relaxing at the villa and cooling off during the hottest hours of the day. Unfortunately, the noise was so constant and intrusive that it was impossible to comfortably stay at the property from morning until late afternoon. The day after my arrival, I contacted management to explain that the situation was unacceptable and that I should have been informed about the construction work before booking. In my opinion, this is essential information that should be clearly disclosed on booking platforms. The only solution offered was to have the workers start a little later in the morning so that I could sleep longer. No alternative accommodation was proposed, no full refund for the unused nights was considered, and the only compensation offered was a 30% refund on the remaining nights, which I considered completely inadequate given the extent of the disruption. The construction work continued throughout my stay. I received several apology emails acknowledging the inconvenience and warning me that there would still be noise on the following days. However, beyond these apologies, no meaningful action was taken to resolve the issue. I felt trapped and left without a real solution. I was repeatedly told that I was free to leave the property, while also being informed that the compensation would remain limited to this partial refund, which was presented as an exceptional commercial gesture. Empathy and apologies are appreciated, but concrete action matters more. I was left with the impression that the owners prioritized their business interests over the comfort and well-being of their guests. When a property knows that major construction work is likely to significantly impact the guest experience, the very least it should do is inform guests before they book so they can make an informed decision. In my case, I was only informed after I had already arrived, when it was far too late to change my plans. I find this completely unacceptable. If you are considering staying at this villa and are sensitive to noise or construction disturbances, I strongly recommend contacting the property beforehand to confirm the current situation. This important information was certainly not communicated transparently when I made my reservation.

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and genuinely service-minded. They were also happy to recommend places and things to do around the area, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly affected our stay. During the daytime, there was some burning happening around the nearby rice field, and the smell came directly into our room. It became uncomfortable enough that we had to leave the hotel for a few hours and only came back in the evening. The biggest problem, however, was the air conditioning. In the middle of the night, the room became extremely cold even though we had not intended to make it that cold. We were surprised to find the air conditioner running at 17°C with the fan at maximum speed. We had to wake up several times to adjust the temperature, and because of this we could not sleep properly until early morning. The Wi-Fi was also very poor. Once our phones connected to the hotel Wi-Fi, the internet was practically unusable, so we eventually had to disconnect and use our own roaming mobile data instead. Overall, the staff and service were good, but the air conditioning and internet problems seriously affected the comfort of our stay. If these two issues were fixed, the experience would be much better.

It was a last-minute booking, I reserved in the evening and arrived at the hotel that night, but all the staff warmly welcomed me and I was able to check in. Because it was so sudden, there was a short wait for the room to be prepared, but during that time, they offered us welcome drinks at the restaurant. While we were enjoying them, the room was ready and we were shown to our room. There was a small mishap where the card key didn't work and I couldn't get into the room, but a young staff member passing by immediately helped. They opened the room for us first and promptly brought a new card key later, saving us a trip back to the front desk, which was a great help. The breakfast selection was also extensive, and everyone was satisfied. All the staff had genuinely lovely smiles and were so kind, making it a hotel I'd definitely want to stay at again. Thanks to Trip.com, we were able to stay at this class of hotel at a significant discount, which was a blessing for a family with children!

An incredible villa in Bali 🌴🤍 Our Bali vacation was made especially delightful thanks to this villa. From the first moments, you feel an incredible atmosphere here – it's beautiful, cozy, and peaceful. This is exactly the kind of place you look forward to returning to after walks, beach days, and a busy day out. The villa itself is simply stunning: spacious, stylish, beautifully decorated, and meticulously designed down to the smallest detail. Everything looks aesthetic and is genuinely comfortable to live in. We particularly loved the sense of privacy and having our own little space where we could fully relax. The grounds are very well-maintained, with lots of greenery and beautiful tropical plants. The authentic Balinese atmosphere is all around – you wake up and immediately feel like you're in a truly special place 🌺🌴 I must also highlight the cleanliness. The villa was tidy, cleaning was done regularly, and everything we needed was provided. It's so pleasant when a place isn't just beautiful in photos, but looks even better in real life. The staff deserves a special thank you ❤️ Everyone was so kind, attentive, and responsive. They tried to help with every request, always greeted us with a smile, and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We also really enjoyed the food. Breakfasts were delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. It was especially pleasant to enjoy breakfast in such a beautiful setting in the morning, with no need to rush. We got exactly the kind of vacation we came to Bali for: lots of beauty, tranquility, privacy, and pleasant emotions. This villa became a true sanctuary and place of relaxation for us. 🥹🤍 A huge thank you to the owners and the entire team for such hospitality! We are leaving with very pleasant memories and will definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable holiday in Bali. We would gladly return here again! 🌴✨

We stayed for 5 nights. The first night, we couldn't sleep due to noise from the nightclub in our room, but we changed rooms the next day. The rooms are nice, clean, and spacious. Breakfast was varied and very delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is good, close to the beach, and there's a shopping mall, laundry service, and scooter rental nearby. The pool isn't great for swimming, but it's fine for relaxing by during breakfast. It's a nice hotel if you plan to stay at night and explore during the day, but it's not a hotel for all-day activities. We had a good stay, thank you.

Check in was smooth. Staffs were friendly. Hotel is huge, they have 3 blocks. I got the far end of the block which was a little bit away from the reception and the restaurants and the open space for smoking. In 2 circumstances, i walked up to the room and the door card could not work. This happened in 2 different nights. I had to walk down and got it reset, but the staffs didnt bother to apologise for this. The first time it happened I was okay, but the second time it happened, I got pissed off, because it was a long walk from the room to the reception. If you order food delivery, it will be a long walk to take your food at the reception. If you got the rooms at the reception level, I'm sure it will be a great experience like the first time I was there in the Junior Suite, but this time it was not as pleasant. Thumbs up though for the housekeeping, as the found out I had many shirts lying on the sofa, they brought a small clothes rack and hung my shirts.

The bamboo house was quite unique, and the building itself was beautiful. However, the cleanliness was a bit concerning and didn't hold up to close inspection. Check-out is strictly at 12 PM, otherwise, you'll have four or five staff members waiting at your door to assist you with checking out 😂. Hot water is limited, so you have to use it sparingly.

Overall, my stay was just okay – it was what you'd expect for the price, nothing special but no big surprises either. On the plus side, the service was decent; staff members always greeted me, and check-out was quick. However, there were a few minor issues in the room. The air conditioning was a bit noisy, which might bother light sleepers. Also, the shower had low water pressure and the temperature fluctuated. Cleanliness was acceptable, typical for a standard business hotel. All in all, it's decent value for money if you don't have high expectations.

We love heritage buildings and vintage style, so these little bungalows were perfect for us. They were a little walk away from the reception (no buggy!) which meant so peaceful and quiet! Gorgeous wooden bedroom and bathroom. The shower is a little outdated and when I first turned it on there was a sulphuric smell which was a bit concerning. Basically, if you like rustic, no frills, no extra service etc then these are a lovely cute experience. However, if you want luxury and are squeamish about old style open homes, this isn't for you. Breakfast was very basic so we generally ate out. The main receptionist was a lovely gentlemen, a very quick registration and we were in! Rooms were clean and nice and dark for a cosy sleep at night.
