The room looks run down and the set up is poor ie. sofa chair is placed between the TV and the bed. Bubble bath does not worked. Other than normal TV channels, the rest of the video on demand are chargeable. Other similar hotels comes with massage chair but not Shasha. They don't allow you to hold on to the room key. When we come back, someone has to open for us and when we leave, someone has to lock it. Very strange and very unproductive way of managing a hotel.
Location wise, although it is about 500 m walking distance from the nearest train station, all restaurants are closed after 9 pm to 10 pm The closest is Yoshinoya (opened till 3 am) which is 1.3 km from the hotel.
Service wise, they are very poor. We were late for 15 mins for our check out. In most hotels, most will give and take. However, we were slapped with a penalty charge. Instead of explaining this, they simply add it onto the room charge quietly hoping that I don't take notice and pay this. Luckily I asked. This is very dishonest and not what a Japanese culture would display. I refused to pay as it was not properly explained and discussed or negotiate. They finally waive this.
Their breakfast is ok.
