2-Star Hotels in Koh Samet

My wife adores fresh seafood and ordered fresh shrimp and fresh squid that was listed as price by weight. When we got the very small plates of ”fresh seafood” the shrimp had been mashed up covered in breadcrumbs and deep fried until hard and the squid stir fried in garlic. These are 100b street food dishes at best The tiny plates were devoured in seconds, it was barely an appetiser. When the bill arrived we had been charged the full price for 1kg despite only having a miniscule portion. Then we were told after the event, even though the menu clearly said price by weight, that this was a mistake and it was price per plate. Be careful here, it's a beautiful location but the prices are ridiculously expensive and aimed at unsuspecting tourists. It's the most expensive squid I've had in over 10 years living in Thailand and there's much better value to be had next door

Nice and clean hotel, staff was very friendly, food good, worth the price. we got the rooms without any reservation, we just went there. everything in the hotel went well, feeling safe, in a great location, right on the beach. high recommendation for this hotel, we will definitely be back!!

Im glad we only stayed for one night. The room was wet we had to change to other room and I found the other room wet as well. The staff didn’t take action much about the problem he only give me other key to enter the room right next to our first one, didn’t show me any concerns. Two rooms I went in had a very strong scent of mold. We stayed in the second floor so early in the morning we could hear noises from staffs downstairs, the room is not noiseproof at all. Bedsheets and towels are the only things that smells good to me so we are comfortable to sleep in and did not cancel our night here. The location was very good we had a good time at the beach and all.

We stayed for 3 nights as a walk-in paying just over 1000THB per night on a holiday weekend. (Budget rooms available for 800THB). Our room was large, with a nice balcony looking onto the gardens, Good air con and a big wetroom bathroom with warm water shower. The bed was large and comfortable with crisp, freshly laundered sheets. The whole place is spotlessly clean- the friendly girl who runs the place does an excellent job, she’s always buzzing around, cleaning and sweeping. The hotel is around 3 mins walk to a lovely white sand beach along a quiet path. You’re not on the beachfront but getting there is still a ‘shoes off’ experience and you’re paying half the price you will for a beachfront hotel. It was a holiday weekend when we stayed with lots of Thai party goers hitting the karaoke hard which sounded like cats being tortured. We were thankful to be further away from the bars and restaurants and had quiet nights here. Wong Deuan beach is lovely but there is less infrastructure here than at Sai Kaew village and consequently prices at bars and restaurants are higher. We tended to walk over to the next bay Ao Cho where there are a couple of slightly cheaper reggae bars. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the beaches and would fully recommend Bell House as a place to stay.

This is a very nice accommodation , consisting of a a main open alley with rooms on each side of the hall way , there is a reception area which sell drinks and at the end of the short alleyway there is a lovely cafe which sell fruit, coffees, smoothies , juices , and croissants and various toasts topped with fruit etc and they sell a nice burger and chips also, this is on the beach with loungers and bean bags and other options if you want to stay off the sand , some of the staff are friendly and smiley and some are not. the rooms are cleaned when requested no problem just leave your key at reception, the location is ideal , 5 minute walk to 7/11 and the village , I have to say this accommodation is idyllic with its thatch roofs and minimalistic style , I loved it here and I will stay here again , the only negative I had about the place is they didn’t clean the rubbish from the beach , the beach is the reason we go here … only 1 or 2 businesses on this beach clean the rubbish regularly , all the others do not clean up and it is unsightly , all the businesses on this island should all make sure it is clean all of the time .

The hotel is right out of the pier, take a ramp, check-in location is in room 10 of the hotel, the room is not large, we can put enough luggage, small mosquitoes at the end of November, no mosquito water In use, the hotel provides 2 bottles of mineral water every day. The place to eat is to the left. The hotel's best advantage is the sea. There is no need to take a taxi to and from the terminal. The hotel breakfast is THB 220.

Comfortable location. Almost in the center of the island. Like in the distance from the noisy shopping center, but in step-to-step availability. Like not on the beach, but it is near the road. The rooms and the hotel itself have all the rest (including free shoes, carpets and beach towels). The room has free water, bonus is sneaking and juice in boxes (updated daily when cleaning). Better to overpay than to breathe.. I will say at once, almost the entire hotel was free, traveled outside the season. First we were settled in room C11 , the smell of the spleen, the mini-mini room, all old and a number of repair works. We went to the respiratory, asked to change the room, gave us E11, it looked much better) but an hour later, dogs came to us and they ended up with us for 3 days, they went out at night, chewed, scratched. One thing should be explained well or the other reviews are not well understood. Runa Runa the best guest house has the beauty of seven different buildings to stay. Based on the type of room you choose to stay in different places. I took the room with Ac and balcony at 750B in April precisely D5. They offer excellent service, mini shower and shampoo kits, tooth cleaning kits, coffee and tea available always, clean hand towels every day if required, 2 bottles of water every day. The mattress is absolutely to be replaced but the rest is money spent well. Quiet location and 10 minutes walk from the beach and 8 from 7/11.
