The room was super cool and in a good area near the port and the beach
The beach is so beautiful and I’d recommend to anyone. The hotel was a nice distance from the 7 eleven
However 2 sneaky little geckos was spotted in the room and woke up with lots of bites did check out early but was also backpacking and was more of a chill vibe. Be warned there is an entry fee onto the island"

"Room is nice, quite cheap look but it's the Samet style.
Bathroom is united, so you shower next to the toilet.
Miss Hong provides beach towels, so that's a plus. No need to buy them or wash your own.
Lots of lizards create homely atmosphere (they were in common area, not in rooms).
Coffee shop is closed, so can't have breakfast in the building.
Water pressure is good. Noise from the street is loud and clear, windows provide no sound dampening.
All in all I won't come back here. I don't know why do this."

"I lived on the island for a few days. A few days ago, I was in other hotels by the beach. The humidity and darkness are very uncomfortable. Because it is convenient to take a boat the next day, I changed to this hotel near the dock and the main street on the last day. Its decoration style is simple and clean. The bedding is soft. There is a bad place. The seal is not very good. Someone in the next room is smoking on the balcony. The smell is uncomfortable. I also heard the next door quarreling. The soundproofing of the room is not good. Try to keep your voice as low as possible. Maybe I will choose to live in this area next time. It seems to be a relatively balanced choice on Samet Island."

When checking in, also call and say that you have arrived and are ready to move in. You can sit on the sofa in the hall and read a book or on the porch and eat.
Also, if you are interested, prices on the island are more expensive than in the city and in 7-Eleven a couple of baht are also added to the goods. "The hotel was right at the beach so it was very convenient. It also has a nice restaurant with breakfast, lunch, dinner menus so we never had to go too far for food. Some of the hotel staff were very nice and kind, some were cranky but that's alright.
The AC in our room was leaking and we informed the hotel but they could only provide us towels to deal with the leakage. I booked quite last minute so I can't really complain with the room choice.
All in all, I do recommend the hotel."

"The location is great, you just go out and you're on the beach. Beach towels are provided upon request. There are 2 bottles of water in the room. But the standard room windows don't face the street, but the corridor, so it's so-so. I didn't see it in the room description. Clothes don't dry, but that's a feature of all island hotels. The bathroom doesn't smell very good. Yes, it's convenient that bean bags on the beach are provided to guests at no extra charge."

GGuest UserThe stars of this hotel are the staff particularly the manager, Act, who could not be more helpful. She made everything about my stay easy and stress free.
The hotel itself is just across the quiet island road from the beach. Here there is white sand and crystal clear water. To the left is the busier section with all the normal beach activities together with bars and restaurants. It is just a 15 min walk into town this way. To the right the beach is quieter.
If you continue along the beach to the right you can follow the coast path which ‘hops’ from bay to bay making for a pleasant walk.
The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. You are supplied with everything you need including snacks, beach bag, wet bag, beach towel and beach mat.
I had a wonderful stay at Green Bay and thoroughly recommend it.

NNATALIAWonderful, soulful, homely hotel. Like at the dacha. We lived in an economy inexpensive room. Clean, everything was thought out. Hair dryer, beach bag, umbrella. White bed linen. Air conditioning is away from the bed, comfortable to sleep, set so that it does not blow too much. Thanks to the staff for their friendliness! Wongduen beach is good in the morning, after lunch the sea is muddy, we went to Ao chor beach, not far to walk. From 10 along the beach we carried fruits, chicken, grilled fish. There is a cafe on the shore. We left back on a speedboat, the pier on the beach is 300 baht. One small minus, closer to the night near our house a toad screamed loudly 😂.

The location is ideal - the center of all the action, but at the same time quiet and calm at night, you can't hear the music. The only thing that slightly spoiled the impression is the employee who receives guests. We had to leave the island at 16:30, came to extend until 16:00 hotel, translated our request with the help of a translator with sound, since for some reason she could not just read from the screen what was written there in Thai. In general, as it turned out, she nodded to us that we could stay until 4 pm, agreed and announced the surcharge, but in the end we still paid 3 times more than what was announced, since in fact, when checking out, she told us that we misunderstood her) The surcharge for every half hour of room extension is 200 baht. Be prepared that the receptionist simply will not understand you, the dialogue will be difficult. Neither Russian nor English, only Thai with voice acting. Translation difficulties, costs))
But despite this pun with the check-out, we really liked everything and recommend the hotel. By the way, we did not have any neighbors, we were alone, no one made noise, everything is just perfect!

Beautiful clean beach, the only thing is that I was very badly bitten on this beach on the first evening by small Thai flies, similar to midges, and an allergy to their bites began. They do not bite everyone and not everyone is allergic to them. But if you have encountered this, you mean. On the central beach, no one bites. It is about 2 km away. You can walk to the center or take a local taxi for 200 baht. If you get on at the ”stop” you can leave for 40 baht, but they rarely stop there.

Можно добраться сразу на катере, а если от парома на тук-туке, то надо смотреть, чтобы привезли в этот поворот, потому что часто привозят в первый поворот к другим гостиницам, а оттуда по песку с чемоданами далеко и неудобно. Эта дорога прямо в центре пляжа, они идет к зданию охраны заповедника. В прошлом году был новый ремонт, мебель не новая, но все работает. В прошлом году не было ТВ каналов, но был Youtube, в этом году не брали фильмы с собой, понадеялись, что посмотрим в Youtube, но он теперь не работает, только ТВ каналы на тайском, в основном новости и реклама. Хотя это странно, в гостинице жили только иностранцы, можно было хоть один канал на английском подключить или оставить Youtube. В гостинице всего 6 номеров, рядом массаж и ресторан соседней гостиницы. В отличие от соседних гостиниц в этой есть свои лежаки на пляже, очень удобно. Управляющий плохо говорит по-английски, но всегда очень дружелюбный и старается во всем помочь, проблем в коммуникации не было. В этом году стало намного больше туристов на пляже, стало много лодок и катеров, такого спокойствия и умиротворения как в прошлом году уже нет, но вода очень чистая, песок белоснежный, все еще похоже, что это заповедник.

Even when we asked them to be quieter, after some time they gathered there again and talked endlessly loudly, watched videos, played games. Then they moved to the area in front of the reception, but they talked so loudly that the noise still interfered with rest. At the same time, you will not find employees in the restaurant when you need to order food or pay, they are all relaxing there for their own pleasure. The hotel has its own sun loungers on the beach, but the restaurant staff tried to kick us out from there on the first day and insisted that we should order something in the restaurant, this spoiled the impression, of course. It is strange that the hotel has a restaurant, but no breakfast, it would be more convenient with breakfast. At 9 am, large groups of Chinese tourists are brought to the restaurant, in principle, as in other neighboring restaurants on the first line. The room is not bad, but old, the bed is comfortable, the TV only has Thai channels. The toilet in the bathroom is leaking, the faucet, apparently the same is on the floor above, because water was dripping from the ceiling and there is mold on the ceiling, and in the toilet itself there is no ventilation and a terrible smell of mold. There is no toilet paper, in front of the entrance to the toilet there is a holder with thin napkins, which is very inconvenient. We lived on the 1st floor, since among us there were people with disabilities, in front of the room there is a table and two chairs, but sitting in front of the restaurant toilet is not at all pleasant. Also, the employees in this place eat their own food and sometimes the smells are very unpleasant. The hotel is for very unpretentious visitors, but the sea is wonderful and two steps from the beach. On the main street there are many restaurants, massages, two 7-11, currency exchange. It's a couple of minutes' drive from the ferry.
