Centara Villas Samui

This was my first time in Koh Samui. I initially wanted to book a higher-end hotel, but after seeing the photos of this hotel, I thought it looked like great value for money, so I decided to give it a try. I stayed for five nights and felt very safe. The entire hotel, from the front desk to the cleaning staff, was very polite. If you're looking for a relaxing hotel stay, this one is perfect. My kids are already planning to stay here again next time. The restaurant staff, Aum and Mam, were especially courteous. Overall, I give the hotel 100 points. As a four-star hotel, it exceeded my expectations. The spa prices were very affordable and highly recommended. The parent-child cooking class was also an unforgettable experience.

Absolutely loved this hotel! It offers great privacy. Even though it was fully booked, it was incredibly quiet. The location up on the hill provides stunning views, which we enjoyed for two nights. The breakfast spot had an even more amazing view!

We went to this hotel after reading many good reviews, but our opinion turned out to be quite different. The hotel is very old. The bungalow rooms are cozy, and the bathroom has been renovated. There are many windows, but the blinds are incredibly inconvenient to open. Since the bungalows are by paths where people walk by, and everything is visible with the lights on, closing them in the evening and opening them in the morning was a real struggle! They barely moved! Eventually, we just stopped opening them altogether, despite the lush greenery and beautiful views. Due to the abundant greenery (not landscaped, just trees and bushes), it's very humid, and the area doesn't get much breeze. This makes sunbathing difficult by the pools that are above sea level. Moreover, these pools only have about 6 sun loungers, not all with umbrellas, and the wooden deck has gaps where anything that falls through is lost forever! All the sun loungers everywhere are old, with saggy mesh. The sea is shallow at both high and low tide, making it hard to swim, and even harder to get into the water. Waist-deep is the maximum, or you have to walk a very, very long way. There are a lot of small stones, leaves, and grass at the bottom. We brought coral shoes, but had no desire to swim. Due to the rocky sandbar, the water doesn't fully refresh during low tide, leading to stagnant water with grass on the bottom. Breakfast is ordinary; it seems like everything you need for breakfast is there! There are no shops or cafes nearby. The closest 7/11 is over a kilometer walk, but that's not a cafe. Personally, we won't be returning here, and we don't understand the people who write glowing reviews! Maybe they just like the name? Yes, it's an expensive hotel chain, and the price for this hotel was very low – we now understand why!!! Overall, we stayed 2 nights and then moved to Chaweng Noi. Everything is great here now!

Everything was impressive! The price was good, and the staff were friendly, always smiling and ready to help. The room was clean. If you opt out of housekeeping for a day, you get a 150 baht coupon to use at the bar. Plus, there are free kayaks available. It's the perfect place to relax.

The hotel has very green grounds. The beach isn't for swimming – we knew that and were prepared, so it didn't bother us at all. We went to different beaches every day. The food is delicious and varied.

Loved the hotel! It has a large property, a varied breakfast with fresh fruits, a private beach, and individual villas. Highly recommend!

This hotel is incredibly beautiful! Everything is just overflowing with greenery. We felt like we were living in a botanical garden. We had a great bungalow right on the first line, directly in front of the pool, spacious and nice, with a balcony and our own sun loungers. There are three good pools on the property, and its own very beautiful beach. You can swim there, there's practically no waves because of a sand spit running along the entire hotel area. We had some minor complaints, but the staff fixed everything instantly. And we just approached the first staff member we saw with our issues, and everything was resolved right away…👍👍👍 The people working there are very kind and responsive. The breakfasts weren't lavish, but there was enough variety to choose from. The only downside is a lot of steep stairs and intricate labyrinths, but that's also a plus if you view the ups and downs as walks through a garden. There were many elderly people and families with children. My wife and I really loved it; it's now one of our favorite hotels.
