The true essence of genuine hospitality and honest service comes from the heart, and is impossible to fake. Every single member of the Holiday Village team display and carry out this virtue tirelessly daily, led passionately from the front and by example, by the GM Mitlos. We stayed at the end of May as a family of 4 with two young boys in a shared pool room. Our pre-stay email requests had been acknowledged and answered in a timely manner, which to me is always an encouraging sign. Yes the hotel could do with investment, yes the food can get a tad “samey”, the kids club is pretty much non existent, it’s on a hill and there is some construction going on in the sister hotel next door… The hotel management know this and would love to correct it. But none of that matters when you have the fundamentals of good people and a strong team, in place. Unfortunately we had two medical emergencies during our stay, including on the last day prior to our transfer collections. The level of care and empathy shown from Mitlos and the team was extraordinary. I was truly touched by their warmth and concern. I hope you don’t have to suffer and experience the Kos health care system, widely known to the locals as the worst in Greece. Massive investment is badly needed. Overall the positives outweigh the negatives. The pizza on the beach was a particularly strong hit with my boys, complimentary sun beds and (fixed) umbrellas a plus. Just remember to duck! Amazing crepe bar, strong cocktails, tasty food, staff who remembered you and wanted to go the extra mile at every opportunity. Well done Mitlos and team. Thank you for a lovely holiday and keep up the incredible work. Hope to see you again. Scott, Anne, Hamish & Ruari from Ireland
